  • If you paid more attention to his singing instead of the color of the lights you wouldn't miss the 24 sec. run with one breath, at the end of the song. Also, if you want to experience Dimash's full vocal range I recommend Ogni Pietra written by the "piano man" as you described him in your earlier video, but who is a famous Russian composer by the name of Igor Krutoy.

  • Hello, I’m from Brazil! The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

  • You won't be listening to his music on the radio or seeing him often on Western television, but this artist's fan base is larger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop stars. People will fight you online if you pronounce the wrong name, your fans will spend hours watching your videos, opening fan clubs around the world and leaving long comments on KZhead with the story of each song. They are obstinate and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't? He doesn't need paid advertising because his fans will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he provides them to overcome depression, others say he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe he is an angel or a superhuman. If you send in that Michael Jackson had some diehard fans, Dimash fans, who call themselves Dears, are clearly above them all. As soon as I heard his voice, I was immediately impressed in 2017. No wonder his fans are obsessed, his voice is incredible and, at first glance, he also seemed like a very humble person. The 26-year-old Kazakhstan artist reached stardom for the first time after participating in some national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, taking second place in the Chinese program - I Am A Singer 2017-. In this show, he was the youngest participant to compete against established and professional Chinese artists. One of the songs I heard him sing was a popular "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse". A French song by Daniel Balavoine. I was immediately impressed by his incredible technique and delivery. His vocal training is formally classic, but he can sing pop songs extremely well. Your choice of original songs and covers is never obvious and always leaves the listener in awe. What shocks me the most is the use of the vocal fry technique. He manages to hit super low notes and jump to highs so perfectly, without ever failing. Above all, the most impressive feature of his voice is the use of the "whistle". I never heard a man use this technique before Dimash. Sorry Mariah, but her whistles are incredible. You just need to listen to his songs for yourself, because it is impossible to explain this talent with words. His vocal range is incredible. Its length is 6 octaves and 5 semitones, ranging from a low A1 to an incredible D8. Observing this, the highest note male record is an F # 8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones from him, I wonder if one day he would try to beat the record. Another thing that caught my attention, was the perfect pitch always impeccable . He is probably the only singer who has never been challenged on any score, which is why many people have given the nickname "Alien". But impeccable technique and interpretation are not Dimash's only qualities. We learned about his humanity at the -Best show in the world-, a reality show competition, where he competed in 2019. After a few episodes, when Dimash learned that he needed to compete with the kids, he decided to give up. He explained to the crowd that he was unaware of any competition with children when he signed the contract, and such an action would have been against his morale. Incredibly, that explanation was not included in the broadcast episode, which left us perplexed after listening to RuPaul, or I must call it the "Paul Rude" explosion. Dimash's resignation was, in my opinion, an altruistic and humble act. It takes a great man to give up his dreams to maintain his integrity, and that is what we saw in this incredible artist. The American show increased the popularity of the Kazakh singer abroad, so much so that one of his songs, in Kazakh language, debuted on MTV USA in October 2020. The love for his country and his honesty are always visible in all his performances. Each of his concerts always includes cultural aspects related to his country, such as the use of private instruments for accompaniment or traditional clothing and singing styles. I think the choice to sing in your native language was anything but casual. I believe that one of his goals is to increase the popularity and recognition of his country. After gathering my thoughts, I realized that I was right about my assumptions. Your last Instagram post just mentioned: It is necessary to understand that I have become who I am now, mainly thanks to Kazakhstan. Because I grew up in Kazakhstan, I ate Kazakh dishes, I studied with a Kazakh vocal educator, I was raised in a Kazakh family. And the main stimulus that moves me is my nation and my country! After all, I think we have now answered my previous question. What made this artist so close to his fans? And what does he have that others don't? An incredible voice is not enough today. Social media has brought artists closer to their audience, who want to make sure that whoever is following is someone to relate to. Artists like Dimash tend to gain millions of followers around the world, not only for their talent, which is definitely the main reason, but also for their humility and the way they interact with others. When people feel closer to an artist, they tend to want to know more about him. Dimash is talented enough, mysterious enough and, at the same time, so realistic that he could easily be your next-door neighbor. In a world where talent and simplicity often go hand in hand, Dimash is a real pleasure for everyone. For these reasons, I became a fan of the artist, not only admiring his art and technique, but also applauding a way he is dealing with his success. Greetings from Portugal

  • I offer a little information about the song "Sinful Passion". This song is old. She's over 20 years old. The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). Dimash sang this song for the first time in Russia in Sochi at the New Wave Festival on September 9, 2018. He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath.Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis

Apart from having an outstandingly beautiful voice, he’s also a really lovely, humble, generous human being - for example, if you let the video run on to the end, he thanks the band and in particular, the keyboard player, who wrote this song some years ago.

I suppose they’re not available in the US because they might not be allowed at concerts. A lot of stuff is not allowed here. For example you can’t walk up to the stage with flowers like they do there. We had to deposit the flowers with the staff to be placed in his changing room. Oh, Dimash is more than a nice guy! You must watch some of his interviews. Also he held a live online Q and A session last Sunday after the encore session of his digital concert. You can see how simple and pure he is.

  • Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than nine languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, Tenor, Soprano, against Tenor, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a D8 live at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 192 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. • Dimash certainly has an amazing vocal range, he is also multi-lingual speaking 12 languages or at least singing in 12 different languages, I believe he speaks Russian fluently, his mother not surprisingly is an opera singer, he has a very musical family background. He has been performing in one way or another since he was 2 or 3 playing piano or singing.

  • In Dimash’s concerts there are all kinds of signs; the ones you see here are Russian I believe. His Chinese fans have different ones. And if you check his Arnau concert in NY city last December (it’s on his channel), you will see a variety of them. In NY we were also prepared with hearts in different colors for different songs, and Kazakhstan flags. It is quite impressive!!! My favorite version of this song is the Moscow fancam one. You should listen to it just for yourself; it is even more impressive and the camera is on him the whole time. And I think you didn’t realize his last run was 23 seconds long...

  • @3:44, This one is in Russian if I'm not mistaken, but he has sung in 15 languages + 1 "alien" one...lol😅 he did the Diva Dance that the alien 👽 does from the movie The 5th Element in his Bastau concert! Yes, the computer made humanly "impossible" song! And he now has an 8+ octave range...and is almost fluent in about 5 or 6 languages now with his English 😅! When he did the Singer Competition Show in China in 2016-2017 he had a 6+ octave range and had just turned 22yrs old. He now has his Master's in composition and classical music and is working on his PhD in contemporary music..and so very much more 😅🎉❤..I just found you btw, and am excited to see the rest of your stuff 🎉 with love, your newest sub ❤

  • He's still a few steps from the Magic Flute Queen of the night aria top notes, if my intrinsic inner frequency clock is working at all. The guy has a tremendous voice, and control and range that won't quit, but after a while every song he sings and his treatment of it starts to sound pretty much exactly the same. I wish he would branch out into some more serious and more difficult music, he certainly has the talent for it. Go listen to about ten others and you'll get the drift. Pretty sure I could take his songs and edit their order and play them over top of each other and it would still sound fairly normal. Way too much voice to limit himself to that same ole same ole. Now the haters can start in (at least it'll likely be better than what happened to my last comment on that opening thingy, that was EYE opening, and marginally frightening. The direction it was taking got way too weird for me. Gotta wonder). I was impressed with his performing this one in Russian, until I realized he's from Kazakhstan, then not so much. Some of phonemes in Russian are brutal, same way they have a horrible time trying to get our 'th' sound, and L sounds for Japanese speakers. :-)

    • No hate, but I guess it depends on what exactly you mean by "the same." I don't think his songs are the same at all. Because he sings in so many languages, the songs are very musically and ethnically diverse. His songs in Mandarin, English, Kazakh, Russian and Italian do not sound like each other. He sings pop, opera, jazz, ballads, folk, rock, and even rap. Most of his songs are VERY different in my opinion and because he incorporates so many different styles, genres, tones and dynamics, sometimes all in one song, it never gets boring.

    • @@dihathaway7076 I listened to about 6 of them and gave up because they were all sounding the same. Any ideas of three or so that are very different from one another and this one, musically? Different genres would be fine, meaning very much something other than pop. Thx.

    • @@dihathaway7076 Perfectly said, Dimash's music is very diverse! I'm going to add for the original commentor, John Sikes, that Dimash was offered a position with the Astana Opera, but turned it down to pursue his career independently, singing whatever he chooses. If Mr. Sikes is looking for opera, as you said, he should listen to Olimpico, and also TI AMO COSI with Aida Garifullina and Lara Fabian. Dimash's own song, WAR AND PEACE, has somewhat of an opera feel, but obviously isn't opera.

    • @@dihathaway7076 I turned on the first one and literally laughed out loud. YEAH, this is gonna be different all right...then the wolf howl that turned to whale song on whatever the heck that was that he was playing. OK, pretty cool... It's very rare that I get schooled in YT comments but it definitely happened here, at least when I don't expect it. Obviously when I'm talking to experts about certain things I expect and hope for that to happen, but that is different as I know who I am talking to, often. I take back 112% what I said about Dimash having no breadth, and will state that I am actually IMPRESSED WITH the breadth of music he does, once you get outside the pop stuff. That Kazakh folk song was awesome! And you definitely presented links to a varied selection. We had a friend that started a thing called Music Mission Kyiv where he grabbed professional members of the Kyiv singing community and symphony to present their population Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc which were for many, their first time hearing much of this music. Every time he toured the choir in the States it seemed like mostly what everyone wanted to hear was the Ukrainian folk stuff and their lesser known (to the West) more serious music. The first time he took them to a grocery store they were all laughing and whooping it up because they thought that was a propaganda store, which evidently exist in places. They became kind of sad when they realized it wasn't, and one commented to me her feelings on the matter. I said there's wealth, and then there's wealth, and the stuff that really matters isn't bought with money. Of course they had three (I think I remember three) Strads in the touring bus, so there was that, too. My father talked to someone who worked as an engineer (he was too) and told him with the tooling and materials they had they could make, say, very high end bike frames for the States and elsewhere. The fellow said 'we make missiles, we do not make bicycles" and dad said 'you don't understand, you could probably sell those for over a grand elsewhere. In that time frame titanium was pretty much used in the States for missiles, and not much else, and was incredibly expensive, there they have a freaking giant statue (I mean BIG) made out of the stuff. He said the gentleman had no interest whatsoever. I had looked it up before and saw he was massively trained, including Bell Canto, and was wondering 'where is it?" DI Hathaway definitely pointed me to it. Thx for that, always willing to learn. Superb stuff. Makes me wonder why there isn't a 'google scholar' type category in the YT suggestions algo that you could switch on. Maybe I shoot myself in the foot wrt that problem when I go to flat Earth, or equivalent (stupid) conspiracy channels for some trolling grins and giggles. Or when I watch political junk every once in a while just for the unending humor of the dumb things they constantly manage to say and do, maybe they think I actually care about such nonsense. :-/ I feel a little bit roasted, which is good every once in a while.
