    • same bullshit, different smell... what manager doesn't want the best 11 in the world at all times... the problem with EtH is that he wants different players but doesn't play to the strengths of his current ones... which imo makes him weak as a manger and people in this fanbase stuck with his mid-table tactics for another season... say whatever you want about our current lot of players they are a lot better than clubs that have washed us this season... and honestly EtH couldn't manage his way out of the bottom of a paper bag even with directions... Great video Jay, but i'm not buying it... EtH is way out of his element and it shows... and if i'm being honest his best Ajax team would have been mid or bottom-table...

  • After going through 10 years worth of comments on this Channel, I feel comfortable in saying thank fuck INEOS will not consult with the Fickle bunch that is the Manchester United fanbase to decide the future of the United Manager. I've read the same comments repeat themselves every 18 months...

    • Could not agree more. You can literally point out examples in the past where fans wanted the boot through impatience, the board give them time, and they eventually succeed. Our spoilt fanbase is still drunk on the success of Fergie, ironically still not realising we wouldn’t have had that, as he wouldn’t have survived, if it was up to the fans and not a patient board.

It was good to hear his perspective on our recent form and his vision for how he wants to play, and could've played if we had the full squad available. In Ten Haag i trust. Back him and give him the time he and our young players need. Get rid of anyone who doesn't want to play for us or isn't prepared to put in the hard yards when it's required in game.

  • I thought it was a good interview, the right questions from Gary and ETH was a bit more relaxed so had time to explain a bit more rather than just defend. Also on the language thing, I’ve lived in Sweden for nearly 6 years and am reasonably fluent with the language now but I still find it difficult to show my personality and often have to switch to back English to feel like I can say it with my true personality on not come across a bit robotic

  • Paddock I want you to know this is one of the best interviews Gary and his team have done, and I’m going to tell you why. 1) Gary was fair and honest with his questions. 2) He allowed Erik to speak, without shunning his beliefs, or imposing the fans and medias biases. 3) Gary gave him a platform to have an honest and hard conversation. 4) The interview allowed space for Erik to be human, like all of us who have to perform at a high level through scrutiny, criticism, and emotionally charged environments. 5) Multiple times the questions gave the fans and viewers an opportunity to see a man trying his best to perform at a high level and asking for patience and the vision to do his job. 6) Lastly, growth and change are not for the faint of heart. It requires suffering, diligence, and commitment to higher standards than were initially in place. With that comes setbacks, bounce backs, and eventually the success at the end of the process. Thank you for taking the time to do this video and further my belief in this man as our coach, our manager, and our leader. I believe Erik, if supported, has the tools to rise us from the ashes to surpass our previous glory as a club.

  • It is ridiculous to think that, in a team sport, you’re forced to make 30 changes to your lineup and that doesn’t come back to bite you in every game you play. Cohesion takes time. For success to occur im a team sport, players MUST be able to trust that their teammate will make the correct adjustment at the correct moment. ANY hesitation, even one that results in being one or two steps in the wrong direction can and, more often than not, will render calamitous results.

  • Great interview. Gary getting some really good questions in. For me ETH's 1st season justifies a 3rd given the context of the 2nd. Also let's be brutally honest: 1. We will hamper ourselves in the window if we are looking for new manager (who we will have to pay off costing us transfer funds) while trying to make signings. 2. We are absolutely not getting anyone who isn't either on the decline or doesn't have a better CV than ETH coming into the job. Lets back a manager for once post Fergie. We've tried the other way already. ETH's win percentage is very comparable to Arteta's after two years if not slightly better. What will everyone be saying when he goes to Bayern or back to Ajax and does well, because that is what will happen.

We had no idea mount would miss the entire season so it's very easy to write that up as a bad investment. Bruno needs competition and a break, mount was the right choice. As for kane it was made clear that English clubs would pay well over 100m with reports suggesting 150m whilst European teams would get him for 100m. He wanted out of Tottenham and we went for the better long term option. Too easy to swap now having seen the result

  • Am just gonna go ahead and do what alot of people tend to do, copy and paste same comments again and again. C&P'g my comment on another thread: EtH needs to be given the opportunity under the new management and with a fully fit squad. This interview didn't change my opinion, only strengthened it. Which of the current top 3 or even 4 teams have had an almost entire defensive unit out through injuries in any or either of the past 2 seasons? How can anyone who claim to have even an iota of footballing sense and knowledge keep saying oh you have to adapt? How can you expect a nondefensive player to effectively take on the role of a defender? This is my opinion of someone who doesn't have more than an entry level knowledge tbh. In any business you wouldn't expect an unskilled person to undertake the role of a skilled person - their knowledge, expertise and skill base is completely different. Every one has a role to play in a team - you can't expect everyone to do everything, and that too at the expected level, what's the point of the concept of a team? E.g. an architect cannot be expected take on the role of a structural engineer who can't be expected to undertake role of a services engineer. Each discipline is specific. Together they collaborate to design a building. As a team, with each defined role. Same can be said of strikers, wingers, midfielders, central defenders and right or left wing defenders. Each has a role to perform, contribute to the wider team. You can have a team vision, but each person has their specific task to facilitate the implementation of that vision. Am done with seeing comments and hearing people consistently criticising and dismissing EtH repeating the same comments over and over. 🙄

  • they definitely shouldn't get rid of him as that's been a big problem for United, Chelsea, Spurs but maybe not so much Spurs as they don't like spending money... but you can't build a team when you keep replacing the manager who has to replace players with their style of players. There's clearly loads of problems this season - why are so many players getting injured? why did they end Regulion's loan just because Shaw was fit again but had no backup? they're still playing out from the back with a makeshift back four and give the ball away too much. So many matches and they barely have an shot never mind a shot on target, in the first half. so few goals scored? a team aiming for top four shouldn't be so poor in front of goal.. and why are they so bad at defending a lead; Chelsea, Liverpool, Coventry, Burnley. throwing penalties away at the end of the game and a 90+9 minute goal away to Brentford. Thrown away 9 points in a month that would have put the four points behind Villa with a game in hand.

  • I think I know his plans 1. continue to play rashford no matter how bad he performs 2. alienate at least 1 star player and force him out of the club 3. play low block and high press despite it not working 4. rely on last minute winners, and/or holding desperately onto a 1 goal lead 5. buy someone who played at Ajax for too much money

  • I dnt listen to this manager no more, he is a top class waffler. Even hearing about what he said u can tell he just waffled thru this interview! You dnt just play your style of football with your first 11, u coach your style with the whole squad! So even if you lose a few players you still maintain your style of play. Its nonsense blaming everything in injuries.

    • No matter who is coaching and how much coaching they get some of those players simply cannot play a high possession high line playing out from the back. Either technically or from a workrate point of view or even a discipline/football iq standpoint. A few easy examples are rashford cant do anything against a low block and is awful retaining possession. Mctominay can’t do it technically either passing wise or dribbling/press resistance wise. Maguire simply doesn’t have the pace or technical ability hes a press trigger actually for most teams and lastly is wanbissaka who is great 1v1 but is bad covering his post and loses focus often. He also isn’t good enough technically to pass or dribble out from the back and doesn’t show for the ball at all to the point that the other team doesn’t even cover him most of the time and offensively he cant do any part of what a rightback needs to do in the modern game.

    • @@Ace-wp7ld what is a manager/coach’s job? It is simply to coach and train players to play a certain way in and return make these players better and get everything out if every player you possibly can. This guy is not doing that at all! He is actually making players worse just like Ole did. It makes no sense! To concede over 25 shots per game since the start of the season and not do anything to rectify it, makes no sense! Regardless of the injuries or what a player can do or cant do. The soon ppl realise this guy isnt good enuff the better for everyone.

    • Cool….. so who’s supplying the passes to Kane? His conversion rate is about 1 in 3, so in this United side he’d probably take 5 games just to get 3 shots away. M’Bappe has been and absolute nightmare for PSG and would just be another Pogba at united. He doesn’t cross the ball or track back which are 2 of the biggest issues with Rashford. You’d improve nothing about our team by adding those 2. This isn’t FIFA career mode. We’d still have a defence that can’t play out and we’d still have a nonexistent midfield. The only difference would be the extra £1m wages.

  • All i hear is excuses that aren't good enough. Whether or not weve had injuries isn't a reason for getting schooled at home by relegation fodder. This obsession with FDJ is bizarre he cant keep saying we wont play a style of play without him and casemiro as a pair because casemiro was the back up option to FDJ. I do think this means hes been told next season is his but i really dont think i can handle another season of the dross football and then him coming out talking about how happy he is and how great we played.

  • This interview should slam shut ANY chance that we keep him. Horrific. Want to take credit for other play? Game model was here; garbage. Kobe and Garnacho are good because they are good. He got to go. Here are the facts. We spent 440m in eth reign. Add interest and others fees and we spent half a billion in transfers. He sanctioned it. Dont say it is not his fault. Like when he vetoed signing DdG contract; Lindelof sale and alvaro request to return. Before ETH; we owed clubs 0 in transfers. We owe 360m about 1/3 of our debt. His signings are not good. Only 3 are good; Licha, Case and Christian. Onana and Mount were good but not necessary. Rest are garbage

I admit the antony deal was poor but i dont think the manager wrote that check it was murtough who did it after we lost our first 2 games. Also almost half of ten hags “signings” were loans not even permanent signings because of how badly the club negotiated the few deals they actually did at the end of the transfer windows when no one else was left.
