Can this electric bike actually ride 100 miles on a SINGLE CHARGE without pedaling? I'm not sure, but today we'll find out.

  • I contacted the company about the noise, they are sending me a new replacement motor at no cost, it should be here in a few days. I looked into it and it’s likely a loose magnet.

    • That climb damaged the motor. I tried some climbs with my 750w Bafang motor and it stopped working. Took 15 minutes for it to cool down so it would work again. And it worked normally without any noise. I bet had you kept the 100 mile challenge to relatively flat ground it would have accomplished the 100 miles. But you cheated by charging.

  • You got almost 90 miles at nearly full throttle, that's amazing. Plus going up that Hollywood hill would've sucked loads of energy. If you had it on a low assist and didn't go up any hills, I think that bike would go over 100 miles

    • But as I'm learning about Ebikes, I guess what I'm confused about, is how the speed you average plays into the range, for example full throttle and 90 miles, does not alone tell you what your average speed would be it seems, in other words manufacturers are not allowed to say 100 mile range at full throttle and 25 MPH, or can they actually theoretically say that ? (well actually they could quite easily, the only variable missing is the weight of the rider, ) and since my comment was posted I've since accepted that for 175LBS going about 25MPH without stopping, you could expect apx 75 miles in range with the 60AMP battery models from AniiOKi using full throttle only, (city pavement only with zero winds) very realistic based on over 6 reviews of this model from various riders, and could even maybe get little more with the right upgraded tires, next closest value in the shoppers market right now is by WildeWay with there 32AMP batteries only, but they are 600.00 less (in other words cheaper to the point you can buy the additional battery) and you get UL listed battery, and it's foldable.

      @flolou8496@flolou849610 ай бұрын
    • @@flolou8496higher speed = lower efficiency. That's pretty much it. Manufacturers can quote the range like you've mentioned but normally the range figures they're giving are for a light rider using a low assist setting on flat ground with lots of pedalling. Most bikes would only do like 25 miles throttle only.

I watch a lot of your reviews because I still don't know which one to buy. The Himiway cruiser is still my most desirable preference because it works better on more rural unpaved paths where there are hills, that is also my criticism of your reviews, test less asphalt and more rough terrain, because that is where the fat bikes are most suitable for.

Even though they weight more there is less friction which allows reaching higher speeds easier. Seating was issue on front tire as well, but I pounded on tire with my hand as I pumped it up and 3rd time it finally seated properly. Also new tires go up to 30psi which helps cornering.

  • Hi and greetings from Canada. Great reviews. That's amazing that you got that mileage! I just got my first ebike this weekend and went for my first real ride today. Just so much fun. I wanted a moped style. A bike seat kills me so I needed that banana seat comfort at my age. I wasn't looking for distance just for weekend fun to hit the trails or whatever. I really wanted a Grizzly after watching reviews but they aren't available here. I ended up just by luck finding a great substitute made by a guy named Maor, called a ROBOCYCLE. Unfortunately there are no reviews yet for it because it's such a small company. He's the nicest guy and has built a beast that has dual motors and is amazingly comfortable. I promise if you reach out to him he'd love to get you on one of his bikes. He's designed a beast for the price. The one I got was the newest one, it's blacked out, and I got a ton of compliments on it. I hope you get in contact with him and get the chance to to review the bike I own. Would love to hear what a professional rider thinks. Stay safe and happy travels.

    • Hey man, I'm another canadian in the market for a new bike and the robocycle definitely has caught my eye. Any comments on the performance, battery life, and speed of your bike? Sounds like you got the robocycle 3? Thanks!

      @justinreinsma9772@justinreinsma97728 ай бұрын
    • @@justinreinsma9772 Yeah I have the 3 and it's awesome. Battery life is like most bikes. It depends on terrain, rider weight, using pedal assistance, full throttling, using both motors, temperature, etc. On average I ride it pretty hard and like to get up to speed fast so I eat up the battery more than if was trying to save it and I don't pedal a lot. I'd say I'd get about 50kms +/- range but I've never ridden it to dead batteries. That's good for a heavy bike and plenty of distance if you're using it for fun. My commute is 16kms one way and mostly flat. Using just the small battery at full throttle and rear motor only, except for taking off at green lights, I will have like 45% battery left when I arrive.

    • @@arischreiber2213 wow thanks man. I think you very just convinced me to seriously consider robocycle 3 instead if 1, that range sounds great.

      @justinreinsma9772@justinreinsma97728 ай бұрын
    • @@justinreinsma9772 The range is good but this ebike is really about the smile it'll put on your face. The way it takes off and shocking traffic at every light is worth the price of admission 100%. It never gets old gapping cars and waving bye as you vanish in the bike lane when they hit traffic. Not to mention the way it climbs hills and holds speed with two motors makes it a game changer. It's literally too powerful sometimes to use the AWD because the front tire will spin out if you're not moving and ready for it. I've learned a technique to get the best launch and not waste the battery doing burnouts. Anyone you know who has an ebike will be blown away at the torque and build quality is top notch. The owners name is Maor. Tell him I sent you and he'll hook you up. I look forward to hearing your thoughts after you get it. If you're in the GTA we can go Out Fer A Rip Bud!

    • @@arischreiber2213 thanks for your answers man it's super helpful! I saw some robocycles at a bike show yesterday and they're very nice. Only thing holding me back that maybe you might know about is hoe would you recommend locking something like this up? At my home i have a parking garage so that's fine, but when I've taken it to work how can I keep someone with an angle grinder from grinding away? The bike does seem pretty large, so I'm worried it wouldn't fit in indoor bike rooms at work.
