Do you think Cinema 4d can handle or do that explosion effect? the actual body parts? I've been working with Cinema 4D for about 3 years now so I'm decent with it.

Every program is good if you are using it long enough. I am personally using 3DS Max because of the highest amount of plugins, tutorials, etc. availble for it. And the whole interface seems to be placed very intuitively and nicely.

i have used 3ds max, maya, blender, and cinema 4d and i have to say 3ds max and Maya are probably the best and most user friendly applications tht i have used. i would recomend blender for the new people then movce your self to cinema 4d to get the feel of 3d animation then move to 3ds max then maya. slamacow uses ads max, and bootstrackbuckaroo uses maya. look at how succesful they are? and victom uses 4ds max to :) go look at blender animations then at 3ds max animaitons. u tell me the right1

Its not really related to animating ;p but you'll get white background if you set background color to pure white, floor color to pure white and if you turn on indirect ilumination (vray, mental ray) hope it helps ;)
