You have to be freakin kidding me. Lightbalance - a coreographed technical light show of stunning engineering and dance lost to a couple of kids and a puppet! What kind of fans are at America's got Talent!? These men have WAY MORE than just talent! They have skill and smarts to put on an amazing performance! They make all their own lights, their own moves, their own performances and they lost to some 10 year old that's really good at singing to the radio? That is the absolute most ridiculous crap I've ever seen. I have nothing against these kids mind you, I just don't think they even deserve to be in the same league as these men. I really hope the best for them because it really looks like they fought a hard battle just to even appear on a show only to get 3rd place.

sympathy votes, nobody wants to vote out a poor little kid which is the weakness of popular vote. the good story will often win over just talent at the end of the day, so dont mind these kinds of results. people want people things, like special individuals, on their tv, and things like light balance at the one-off spectacle show in las vegas, cause it wears out quicker

The fact that people have sympathy is true but people don't want the "people things" you talked about. People want something cool and original, not a kid that sings with a doll. And light balance don't wear out even close as much as darcie. Just think about it, you go to see darcie sing with her doll and you thought it was pretty talented. 3 weeks later she has another song and you go watch that and you think that it is boring because she pretty much have the same act. But light balance is awesome EVERY time they perform. you know why? because they can come up with a totally new dance and scenery. They are a lot more long lasting than darcie.

Tuan The Juan what you said could be easily flipped around. Let me show you. Darcie don't wear out even close to as much as light balance. Just think about it you go see light balance dance with well choreographed lighting effects and you thought it was pretty talented. 3 weeks later they have another dance and you go watch that and you think that it is boring because they have pretty much the same act. But Darcie is awesome EVERY time she performs. You know why? Because she can come up with a totally new dance and skit. She is a lot more lasting than light balance. When proving a point, don't rely completely on wording and bias

This group of dancers are phenomenal & should have won. Problem; they were up against 2 children with talent & I think the voting was more to do with that, rather than who really deserved to win. If they were up against any other acts, it would be a different story.

I think the issue was not that the kids had talent. I mean I'm not disputing that, except one group had more talent than any kid could ever hope to have. That group is Light Balance. Like, I'm just gonna say now, I'm not stating that because they are just kids and that they are up against adults and adults are for more talented, what I mean is, that idea, those dance skills, would take YEARS to develop, and kids honestly probably wouldn't have the mental discipline, and physicality required to do them yet. Oh and then, there's the other thing. Not only does one group have more talent, one kid has more talent than the other, or it could be said one kid has less talent...that kid, is the puppet kid.

When I watch AGT, I watch with my family, and the question my dad always asks during auditions is "ok, but is this a Vegas act?" Because if you think about it, most of the acts that try out are one trick ponies, and can barely ever move beyond the act they did at their audition. My dad never asked that question with these guys. After their audition, the first words out of my dads mouth were "I would totally buy a ticket to their show". He could see them in Vegas before Tyra even hit the golden buzzer. So from now on, Light Balance is going to be my standard when it comes to this show. And if the act can't measure up to the sheer brilliance of these men, then that act will not be getting my vote

So a girl who managed at ten years old to perfect a talent that takes most adults decades, and not only talk but SING in ventriloquism, who also used it as a means to break out of being terminally shy isn't as powerful as a group of middle-aged Russian men who performed to give their families a better life? I'd say Darci's story is as much a great one as Light Balance, and saying that she couldn't carry a Vegas show is balloney! Take a look at performers from the Golden Age of Broadway and Hollywood like Judy Garland or Shirley Temple, who were multi-talented (sing, act, dance, etc.) who not only did live shows but also acted in movies and musicals! Darci has every chance to be a Vegas star. It's really up to her, and her parents as to how far she goes with her talent. Don't say she's any less deserving, just because you liked Light Balance.

I loved both acts...I actually originally wanted Darci to win cause I saw her act before Light Balance...but when I saw LB that changed...yes I get she was VERY good, but compared to these guys she wasn't as good. What helped her win is the fact that she's young, and people don't like seeing little girls cry. And before anyone aays she deserves to be in Vegas...FUCK NO. Who would actually pay to watch what she did. Yes she was good but it was boring at the same time. Light Balance was both VERY talented and entertaining and deserved the win over Darci. Both were amazing but when it comes down to who's better...Light Balance

I honestly love this dance group. They have so much creativity when it comes to the lights and the choreography. I think during the second round for them it was nice of Tyra to show the dress rehearsal so we could see what they were going to do in the show. Wish these guys have won I would’ve voted for them in a heartbeat for them in the top two.

Back before the show was plagued with singers it was rather fun to watch. Tons of different types of musical acts, acrobats, performers with animals etc. It's rather sad how if you aren't a little girl with a cute story you don't have a chance.

The fact that these guys lost first place to puppetry makes me think that our tastes have not evolved to the point where we can even begin to appreciate Light Balance. They are not on a whole new level, they are on a different planet altogether. Not saying that Darci Lynne is not talented or anything like that but this act screams Las Vegas more than hers does in my opinion.

You have to be freakin kidding me. Lightbalance - a coreographed technical light show of stunning engineering and dance lost to a couple of kids and a puppet! What kind of fans are at America's got Talent!? These men have WAY MORE than just talent! They have skill and smarts to put on an amazing performance! They make all their own lights, their own moves, their own performances and they lost to some 10 year old that's really good at singing to the radio? That is the absolute most ridiculous crap I've ever seen. I have nothing against these kids mind you, I just don't think they even deserve to be in the same league as these men. I really hope the best for them because it really looks like they fought a hard battle just to even appear on a show only to get 3rd place.
surprise surprise, the competition HEAVILY favors singers. Why? Because it's far easier to shit out another recording contract than it is to set up a performing arts tour.
sympathy votes, nobody wants to vote out a poor little kid which is the weakness of popular vote. the good story will often win over just talent at the end of the day, so dont mind these kinds of results. people want people things, like special individuals, on their tv, and things like light balance at the one-off spectacle show in las vegas, cause it wears out quicker
The fact that people have sympathy is true but people don't want the "people things" you talked about. People want something cool and original, not a kid that sings with a doll. And light balance don't wear out even close as much as darcie. Just think about it, you go to see darcie sing with her doll and you thought it was pretty talented. 3 weeks later she has another song and you go watch that and you think that it is boring because she pretty much have the same act. But light balance is awesome EVERY time they perform. you know why? because they can come up with a totally new dance and scenery. They are a lot more long lasting than darcie.

Just think about it you go see light balance dance with well choreographed lighting effects and you thought it was pretty talented. 3 weeks later they have another dance and you go watch that and you think that it is boring because they have pretty much the same act. But Darcie is awesome EVERY time she performs. You know why? Because she can come up with a totally new dance and skit. She is a lot more lasting than light balance. When proving a point, don't rely completely on wording and bias

This group of dancers are phenomenal & should have won. Problem; they were up against 2 children with talent & I think the voting was more to do with that, rather than who really deserved to win. If they were up against any other acts, it would be a different story.
I think the issue was not that the kids had talent. I mean I'm not disputing that, except one group had more talent than any kid could ever hope to have. That group is Light Balance. Like, I'm just gonna say now, I'm not stating that because they are just kids and that they are up against adults and adults are for more talented, what I mean is, that idea, those dance skills, would take YEARS to develop, and kids honestly probably wouldn't have the mental discipline, and physicality required to do them yet. Oh and then, there's the other thing. Not only does one group have more talent, one kid has more talent than the other, or it could be said one kid has less talent...that kid, is the puppet kid.
Although in all honesty, the truth is people couldn't just say "no" to little kids. I mean, obviously Light Balance in a more real and unbiased competition would win, without a doubt, but the other opponents are just kids, so the majority of the audience probably felt sorry for them.
Everybody that watches Americas Got Talent just loves ventriloquism and singing, I mean, this is the third ventriloquist winner of Americas Got Talent. There have also been 6 singers who've won.
Denise Gregory kids need to have their own catagory because adults vs kids everyone wants the kids to feel like they can do whatever so they vote for them

When I watch AGT, I watch with my family, and the question my dad always asks during auditions is "ok, but is this a Vegas act?" Because if you think about it, most of the acts that try out are one trick ponies, and can barely ever move beyond the act they did at their audition. My dad never asked that question with these guys. After their audition, the first words out of my dads mouth were "I would totally buy a ticket to their show". He could see them in Vegas before Tyra even hit the golden buzzer. So from now on, Light Balance is going to be my standard when it comes to this show. And if the act can't measure up to the sheer brilliance of these men, then that act will not be getting my vote
So a girl who managed at ten years old to perfect a talent that takes most adults decades, and not only talk but SING in ventriloquism, who also used it as a means to break out of being terminally shy isn't as powerful as a group of middle-aged Russian men who performed to give their families a better life? I'd say Darci's story is as much a great one as Light Balance, and saying that she couldn't carry a Vegas show is balloney! Take a look at performers from the Golden Age of Broadway and Hollywood like Judy Garland or Shirley Temple, who were multi-talented (sing, act, dance, etc.) who not only did live shows but also acted in movies and musicals! Darci has every chance to be a Vegas star. It's really up to her, and her parents as to how far she goes with her talent. Don't say she's any less deserving, just because you liked Light Balance.
Kids learn faster those things. It sounds impressive to say "at ten years what takes adults decades", but it isn't. For comparison, learning a foreign language is easier at a young age then later in life, because their brain is still developing.
I loved both acts...I actually originally wanted Darci to win cause I saw her act before Light Balance...but when I saw LB that changed...yes I get she was VERY good, but compared to these guys she wasn't as good. What helped her win is the fact that she's young, and people don't like seeing little girls cry. And before anyone aays she deserves to be in Vegas...FUCK NO. Who would actually pay to watch what she did. Yes she was good but it was boring at the same time. Light Balance was both VERY talented and entertaining and deserved the win over Darci. Both were amazing but when it comes down to who's better...Light Balance

THEY ARE PERFECT, should have won the competition. Most of all, the person behind the coding and programming of the lights is a damn genius. seeing the comments here, it's so true, these are the type of acts i would PAY to see at Vegas, not some regular singing and whatnot
I honestly love this dance group. They have so much creativity when it comes to the lights and the choreography. I think during the second round for them it was nice of Tyra to show the dress rehearsal so we could see what they were going to do in the show. Wish these guys have won I would’ve voted for them in a heartbeat for them in the top two.

Back before the show was plagued with singers it was rather fun to watch. Tons of different types of musical acts, acrobats, performers with animals etc. It's rather sad how if you aren't a little girl with a cute story you don't have a chance.

darci lynne was good for 1 act these guys put on surprises everytime they performed these guys are talented creative not to even mention their dedication to reach the finals you know how many ventriloquists there are in the world and compare that how many dancers there are that would/could perform a show like this
See this was my issues back in 2016 that Jon didn't win. If you watch the results show when he got voted out all the judges were shocked as hell.
