Yeah i feel this. I don't support Bay or Portland but as a Chicago fan I feel like even the commentators can be based. I remember the first game against Seattle the commentators kept talking about Seattle and how good they were like they had no faith in Chicago it was so annoying. I was so happy when we beat them just for that reason

As I said in another post, I'm not still convinced by the Thorns this year, but...Smith make the whole lot difference for them. Also, I would start to give more chances to Payton (rookie) Linahan: her time at Pen State was sensational.

Bay FC team defence is non-existent. Can't make out what tactical formation they are using. I noticed Kundananji being forced to track all the way back to their 18 yard box every time and they're still leaking goals. Great potential going forward though.
I didn’t get a chance to watch the full game yet but I noticed in the starting line-up that 3/4 defenders were starting that haven’t been. Only Menges started again while Dydasco, King, and Sharples did not. That might’ve had something to do with it. I am a huge fan of Caprice Dydasco though, so I would be biased.
You knew before this game it was going to be a shootout with how shaky both of these defenses are. Portland won and are on a roll, but does it feel like a win with what happened to Weaver? For Bay FC, that just hurts. 5 losses and all of them coming at the expense of late game goals conceded.

@@TheMickaelDnot just the keeper, the whole defense line is $hit, so much power at the front brings nothing when you have these huge holes at the back.
While I agree that a taller keeper is always better, I will say that Prouxl was too far off her line there for that goal and should’ve had better positioning.
Bay fc really need to step up their game now, they've shown they can compete but they need to do it fully switched on for 90mins not just moments

Teams should always rotate keepers, let say have your second keeper play 30% or 40% and your starter 60%. is so sad that some good prospects spent all their career on the bench. a) Washington Spirit is a good example of that; they play nobody else but Bledsoe. b) Chicago and everyone else same thing. Except Reing fc, they play Both of their goalkeepers.

Didin't watch the games but from the highlights, that was a blatant handball by the thorns. She used her elbow to smudder the ball. Terrible non call.

Still no initial lineup and that possible handball should have had a replay. Really, editors, watch some other video clips, from top leagues, and see how it's done.
Is trying time for bay...making games exciting. a) I know their coach wants them to play in certain way (style), but is going to take some time, maybe the whole season, but this is the time to try it, to get an identity. b) Now, if you want results, with the player they have available at this time: Park the bus and throw the ball to either one of the two strong, fast players they have at front, they could even win. What would you do, if you were their coach? Wins or implementing a style for next year?
Implementing a style of play for the 2025 season, i mean that would make more sense at least to most people especially right now for Bay FC.

*Bay FC needs to hire a goalkeeper who is a little taller and not as crazy as the present keeper. The third Portland goal would have been stoppable if the keeper had been 5'10 high.*

I saw comments about this and are you kidding me, there’s add's in the middle of football matches now?! Way to ruin the sport that I am obsessed with. It's one of the reasons I love the sport. Once the match starts, there are no commercials and really no stoppage of play (even balls going out of play, injuries don’t feel like stoppages of play like other sports) until halftime. This is just what we need…more consumerism, smh. I’m happy Deyna C. got a goal in this match because I was excited when I heard that she was coming to the league. Lastly, what the hell was Proulx doing on Sophia Smith’s second goal?
