I suspect that the engine started smoking because oil is supposed to stay in the sump and, with the car on its side for so long, the oil soaks past the piston rings and is burnt with the fuel, which would also be why it cleared up shortly after the finish line. Either way, an impressive display of skill!

@@richardlong2366 it's not an exhaust leak, it's the engine working hard due to lack of coolant and oil. I had the same thing happen to me when I drove an old beater audi with a cracked radiator home across town. It sounded more labored as we drove. That's what happened here

Excellent driving. I was wondering if that engine was a dry sump from the factory but the smoke answered my question. Say good bye to that engine. Just a tax write off I'm sure.
My opinion: the smoke was an effect. Sort of like you see with airplanes at air shows... but what do I know?
One thing is for sure. That engine was probably not happy at the end.

Martín Varela Yes heavier but the Ranger Rover is an SUV and like trucks they have a higher center of gravity and one wrong move could allow it to rollover.

The engine probably got starved of oil due to how long the F-Type two-wheeled.
Paronax most likely the smoke is engine oil spilling into the pistons because the car is tilted to one side causing the oil to get in there, maybe?? Someone can correct me if I’m wrong

Very surprised that the engine didn't blow from oil starvation although I doubt it still makes alot of power
All that smoke coming off it isn't a good sign either. It was starting to sound increasingly lopey the further it got. I'm not sure what kind of lubrication system this engine uses, but most engines don't get good lubrication when nearly entirely on it's side.
@@99domini99 yeah only a dry sump could maybe deal with it even then unless the engine is designed to be at a strange angle like a boat motor it's not going to have a good time all the oil was probably in the head on the right bank

A alignment is a suspension thing this joke doesn't make sense at all

But this F-types tires will undoubtedly be worn out unevenly, so when you take it to the tire guy, he will think you have a suspension issue like a normal person instead of guessing you drove it on a track sideways on two wheels for a hill climb. The joke is funnier if you dont have to explain it.

Yeah.. A little bit of both.
My guess is that the smoke was due to extreme oil burning in the right bank.
Another case of jaguaritis I'm afraid. Sincerely, disgruntled owner.
The pick up was likely low enough to pick up the oil and distribute it evenly. Why you see the smoke and hear the chugging is likely because the oil actually poured through the exhaust valves and was burning off from the hot exhaust and causing the valvetrain to pound through an excess of oil much like when you grossly over fill your engine with oil.

actually look closer it was the diff smoking like crazy. haha but i assumed it was the engine due to oiling too.
This was just oil from the sump burning with the fuel. Those engines obviously aren’t designed to operate at such extreme angles. Nothing too serious though...

In a cheaper car they also use a large training wheel that mounts to the roof to learn
For 2-wheel stunt training, they just take a cheap, particularly High-center SUV and build the hardest damn roll cage you've ever seen, often on the outside of the car, and likely strengthen some parts to keep the alignment from changing too much
Now just think about what it would be like to see a jaguar(animal) running around on two legs from one side even though it has 4 legs that all work

*For those who wanna know why so much smoke at the end* The car driving on 2 wheels on its side cause all the oil in the engine to go on one side of the engine and starve the other half of the engine of oil. As soon as he landed on 4 wheels and leveled the oil started to flow where it had go, hence why it starved so much.
I can just imagine the irritating "binging" coming from your stability control system getting extremely confused by this. All the way up the hill... The smoke is probably the pcm (if this car has one, or whatever it'd be called on a Jag)

@@Marlboro_Lancer I was joking about the control module smoking... My implication was that the sensors attached to stability control circuits would be so active as to cause it to overheat... It's obvious that the car is burning oil or some sort of fluid is building up in the exhaust system. You'd even need to make sure you keep the fuel tank full to keep the pump primed at the angle he's holding. I recall running out of fuel and pulling off the road and, with the angle the car was on, having to put more than a small jerry can in to get fuel back in the system.
