When people talk about 17 being great it’s because it’s the last age before the adult life is settled onto you by society. 17 is great for many because they realize this and spend their last year of youth doing what they want to do. I suggest you do this because I really didn’t and do regret it a bit.. though I am only 18 LMAO

I just turned 17 today and I have no idea how I should feel about it. Many of my folks say that these should be the best years of my life but they said the same thing last year when I was turning sixteen. I honestly don't know time feels like it's flashing through my eyes but yet it feels so slow. Anyway here's to being 17 maybe this year will actually be better then all the other ones and to those who are turning seventeen soon I wish you a happy birthday and the best of wishes and good health especially during these hard times. Turning 27 next month, fr the teenage years didn’t go too hot (total nerd but got into med school eventually). Feel better, much freer, even look better at 26 than ever before. Golden is whenever you make it. I’d do it all again, I’d just worry less.

Hope everything is okay, sometimes its easier to talk to strangers online than the people in our lives. Society tells us we have to enjoy our youth or it will disappear, but I honestly felt and even looked younger in my later 20s than I ever did at 17. I found a life of freedom and expression and magic that I never even imagined existed, and this is what most people say, that life just keeps getting better. So yes, enjoy being 17, but know that life keeps getting easier and easier the more we know ourselves and grow as people. You will grow through what you're going through, and you'll be stronger and wiser because of it.

I’m turning 18 on November 2nd. I am feeling excited, scared, very scared. I look forward to being an adult because at least I can be more independent but I never really lived my dream teenage life like I saw in Pretty Little Liars. Whatever, that’s just a tv show. Homophobia ruined being a teenager for me. I never felt free. Music helped a lot, though. Now I can make my own music and travel when I’m 18. I’m just so nervous and scared. I’m turning 18 on November 2nd. I am feeling excited, scared, very scared. I look forward to being an adult because at least I can be more independent but I never really lived my dream teenage life like I saw in Pretty Little Liars. Whatever, that’s just a tv show. Homophobia ruined being a teenager for me. I never felt free. Music helped a lot, though. Now I can make my own music and travel when I’m 18. I’m just so nervous and scared. There’s so many songs about being 17. I’ll never relate to that again. It hurts. It’s so bittersweet. Fuck.
