I've actually NEVER seen this happen

I've never seen this happen before - in the crucial game 6 of the Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers series, Stuart Skinners stick broke causing him to lose the puck and give up a goal. We'll cover that and more on today's NHL hockey video!

  • I’m honestly so exhausted lmao, thank you to everyone for not roasting me too bad for small flubs (‘Carolina Avalanche?!’). In past years the first round of playoffs has been a de-stress period for me, where I just relax, watch hockey, and work less. This year it’s the exact opposite - and I’ve added a shit load of new content to what was already a busy schedule with my other channels. All this to say, again, thank you - and that I appreciate all of you so much.

  • i love ur channel bro im happy u took all the hype u had and pushed (still pushing) it to its max potential. one of a kind that formed multiple other NHL recap channels and thousands of viewers that have been waiting for anything of this nature due to other channels existing of other sports such as JimmyHighRoller for the NBA (different style yet comparable) and hundreds of other NBA and MLB (etc) channels, yet only seemingly none exist for stand alone hockey, but i am not sure of any other channels for NHL or let alone current events in hockey in general. i think i left a comment a few months back in the early days of your channel saying that if you were to stay consistent with the content you will explode very quickly and here we are sitting at 93.7k with a 2nd channel, that if at the same level of effort, if not more, is put in the perfect position to blow up just like this channel, if not more. whoever is writing your scripts and editing your videos, keep them. they are very good at producing these "oh man another Eck upload" type videos, i applaud it heavily. i mean that as in the consistency in just basic, yet eye gluing editing, and the intricate and fun ways you explain current events within the sport. I am #Crossed because its saturday night and i was out with frineds so i am unsure of how well this is written (proof read like 5x Lmfao)) but i just wanted to say WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! im happy4u man seriously seeing potential used to its max value really gets my gears turning for just being happy 4 them and inspiration in my own crafts. keep pushing man, if i was able to put money in a youtube stock i would 100% invest into this channel due to everything you have going man. very home like feeling watching these recaps for me, love them so much and many others feel the same way. somehow i can provide good advice to everyone except myself, but idk heres what i think could be a +1 to ur channel; - quick endings is good for retention purposes (which u do already :D), super good but maybe add a self plug, maybe just saying quickly that "links in description" w/ handles of ur previously mentioned twitter and ur up coming NFL channel. it would not hurt a SOUL to add those in after ur post video reclaims in the description, it would further boost your reach across multiple platforms, maybe even dabble into tiktok with simple, quick playoff recaps (hey if u need someone for that im here!!! i did that for my creativity path but it did poorly due to the niche of my audience),,,,,, idk i think just pushing people towards that will help u much - maybe interact even more with your youtube subs through posting on the community page with like who they think is going to win the next ploff game (for this instance) or just random things such as "who think the refs sold the game" LOL idk just get creative with that bc for some reason it is common for viewers/subs to see them on their recommended page - i have spent far too long on this comment and i dont want to use brain power anymore bc i am Too Damn Tired idk man keep it up im really rooting for you and your team, a bright and powerful future is ahead and your on the perfect path to it. keep it up! :D

  • Skinners sticks got slashed not once, but twice, the first time was behind the net in the second period. Both slash could easily be called. Skinners shouldve check the stick afterwards too but you live and learn.

  • They could put a sensor or something in the goalies stick to record and measure it’s integrity throughout the game. If it showed when the kings player hit the stick at that moment and all integrity was lost, they could then deem it a penalty or not?

I think EDM beat them 3/4 times this season and the last time was 7-3 EDM. Not sure what to make of this series until I see game 1.

  • I miss Danault; definitely one of the things I wish Bergevin would have left to his successor to decide, or at least a third party. He would be the best vet for our youngsters in the center, along other things. To bad the Kings had too many defensive issues to be able to move forward, but eh... Many players underperformed, but all the credits must go to the Oilers! Congrats!

  • Kopitar gives Skinner's stick a whack, and immediately after Kempe gives it another whack for good measure. Still, for what those composite/graphite sticks cost you'd think they could stand up to more abuse than what Kopitar and Kempe dished out. Skinner might want to check out an old Sherwood or Bauer wooden goalie stick. If he'd been playing with one of those, perhaps Kopitar's and Kempe's sticks would have been the ones to break. Plus, just think how much money the team would save buying wooden sticks for Skinner.
