      @edacelis@edacelis11 ай бұрын
    • @@edacelis This is one view everyone should have more access to, in my opinion. Honestly, I find those confinement-style farms hugely depressing places, so I avoid them like the plague. Edit: I forgot to say this: I said I'm not a "farm person", which is true, but I didn't mention I love nature. The farm part is about the work involved in it (which I have no talent for), not the farms themselves. I actually like the closeness to nature and the kind of peace and quiet you can get at them and I think it's a healing thing to say the least.

    • I guess its not the fact, that they are having fun but more about the hypocrisy of the big thing. Why do we want them to be happy? Because we just want the best for them. But can we want the best for someone, if we kill them for no necessary reason other than sensory pleasure? Let's apply this to a dog: I provide him or her with a great life with all he or she needs, but kill him or her just because I like the taste of his or her flesh, everyone thinks I am crazy. If we think this makes no sense - why is it okay to do the same things to non-human animals, which we are told are not pets? What moral difference is there between a cow and a dog that justifies killing one but not the other?

I'm too old to do backflips. 😏 Hello from across the pond in Massachusetts! 👋🏼 My maternal grandparents were Swedish potato farmers in the early 20th century. It was a very hard life but they survived and ultimately quit farming exceptions for deer hunting. My spirit animal...😒

Even reptiles snakes enjoy enrichment like moving the enclosures around new mulch or bedding new sticks and hides for the smells and new digging etc. So this is awesome to see for me your animals seem the happiest out of all the farms i watch. Just because its a farm people have shit to say sad part is farms and the farmers are what our country literally started on here in the USA. My gram was a dairy farmer and she would be going off on some of these people that have something to bitch about while your enriching the lives of these ladies. • It's not very lovely to see cows getting forcefully impregnated (yes that means rape with a hand in their anus) and getting their baby taken away from them for their milk, that we humans aren't even supposed to consume, when it's been proven countless times that it is linked to cancer and many other diseases. There's feces, puss and blood in the milk as well btw, oh and casomorphin which is a highly addictive chemical to make the baby come back to its mother for her breastmilk so for us it's physically addictive. It's like morphine. You can look this stuff up, How come we don't consume pigs milk? Hmm. The mothers cry and pin for weeks missing their baby, they're material mammals after all. It's honestly so awful, he shows you what you want to see, but not the outcome of where the cows go and end up. How sad.

Even some (non-human) animals might be less intelligent than others, they all try to avoid pain and are sentient. I thought okay, but I was told I need animal flesh and their secretions for nutritional reasons. My parents teached me that I should do my own research, not just believe what you are told. Always! So I found out that you can thrive and eat healthy on a plant based diet as well. If there is no necessity for my survival, why should I still eat them? Because I like the way they taste. In fact, I loved the way they taste. No day without meat or dairy or eggs. But i questioned myself: are my taste buds more important than the life of a sentient being, that doesn't want to die? Maybe this gives you something to think about and you will do some research on your own.
