My bees also looking great this year. Richard man I have a wild boar knocking roofs off my bees. Fricking boar is a Houdini as I have blocked off everything. Hopefully when the bees stop clustering at night it will stop. It’s not even doing anything to the hives.
Take your time one step at a time to do it right
So glad you got a break and time with bee buddies
You need to get that Welsh beekeeper over to help you out
Other invite is already made! 🙌👍🐝
Jack00scarecrow here, great video gutted i missed you in Devon. 😔
Great update Richard 👌🐝🐝Thank you Sebastian from Southampton
The farmers around here are stopping growing oil seed rape, so I could be a tonne of honey down, never had bees without rape around so this year is going to be interesting spring without OSR. Thank you for coming to Telford to meet us your supporters.❤
Michigan federal government pays 250.00 Acer to grow flowers for the pollinators ... They time out the bloom so theirs always something blooming.. see those hummingbird moths very cool ... I need to build some kinda tumbler so I can harvest all those seed heads for wild flower seed that stuff very expensive... I could sell it right on the website...
Brilliant here we go all looking good thankyou Richard
Looking great Richard! Makes sense not to finish the barn for now given the chance of those grants. Enjoyed meeting up with you at the show.
super vidéo ,bonne continuation richard 👍
Very warm here as well in warwickshire.
Slow and steady wins the race 👍🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Rick🙏
It's all in the foot steps less foot steps more productive one is .. waste all your energy wasting foot steps
Did a three hour drive south yesterday in my great state of Wisconsin just visiting another beek. Very warm February 70 degrees F that hardly ever happens here and back to normal having 6 degrees now just a day later.
Not many issues with the weather in Ireland. 6 to 9 that's it. There's a bit of flying if and when the sun appears.
Just on my way back to home. Had lovely time at the beekeepingshow. Went to North sommerset and Poole South England. Lovely weather and dry. Back again to the netherlands
Great to meet you in Telford, thanks again for all the help you give us via this channel. Glad you managed to get a holiday of sorts, as you ended up helping another beekeeper. It may be slightly disappointing having to extract in the veranda again but from what you say about the possibility of grants, it’s a no brainer to wait to complete the extraction facility. Glad the colonies are looking good but not too big. Good luck for the season, it’s been very wet on the Isle of Wight this winter, quite a few landslides, I have lost some hives but plenty still alive now, as you say just got to make sure they have some stores or food added if required. Regards Barry
Nice to finally meet you too Barry! Have a great season!!
Wow Richard everything looks awesome! I am so happy that everything looks so much better than last year. I hope you have a fantastic season!
Thanks Ranier, great to hear from you. Best wishes for this year too
Looking good overall Richard as you say the OSR could be a problem, Good to see you up and running again 😊
Looking good Richard 👍 Gonna be a bit of work getting all those nucs hived up a good complaint though
Great video thx
In my experience, prices for construction dont decrease. I hope your grant comes in before the prices rise an equivalent amount. Supposing you set your extraction line up, would you have to move it for them to build the mezzanine?
Hi, no it would be in the middle of of the extraction room and the feet are already calculated and footings put in to place to ensure that wasn't necessary, so it should be up in a week once i get the go ahead for the grant part!
The smaller nuc colonies…. Do you attribute the size to anything particular. Will you boost any
Richard do you put a sealer over the floor?
Generally no, only when I treat with Oxyalic
24:12 and 24:40 and 25:36 you left mite treatment in your hives over winter? You trying to grow resistant mites or something?
Certainly did!!
No sond 😢😢
I got sound
Hi Richard, brilliant to very randomly meet you in the ag merchants in Cardigan. Would you put me in touch with the lady I met who was with you? I can DM you if you're happy to
Yes DM me on FB messenger or bees in Brittany on instagram 👍
I get 4.5K every year for being organic I know it would not pay you but it helps me too. As you said business is business. France is good for grants alright
It’s all interesting feedback. I am not sure if I could ever be organic in this area but I have a beekeeping friend who is also as organic as she can be and gets a grant too. Can you pm me on instagram and give me an idea of how it works for you? Just interesting to know options for the future. Thanks for your message!
@@richardnoel3141 don’t have instagram anymore but if you give me your email I will. Yeah fed all mine with organic sugar. Bit light. But soon the cherry and early maple will come out in a month here. Usually they are big enough and it’s warm enough to get nectar. But yeah the whether is mild this year. Hope we don’t see the hornets again later on.
