Is there anyway for us to download Zin's profile, I'd much rather alter an existing setup.
This is peripheral for people who make money using it. You don't need a $500 Toaster Oven unless you're in the business of making toast for people who pay you. Star Citizen is an expensive hobby. While this looks great, I can't justify the expense.
you can almost hear Bored's spine being crushed by the weight of carrying this conversation.
I think I still prefer HCS voicepacks instead of looking which button to press.
I'd kinda wanna see something like this designed specifically for star citizen/space games in general
We’re going to be talking about our experiences with it. First words out of gameplay footage, “how do I turn it on? I don’t think it’s working…”. 😂
I can wholly sympathise with the sigh Zin lets out when trying to explain why the Loupedeck isn't working for you! Its the sigh anyone who has to help with tech stuff has! 😆
£300 for one ? you crazy ?
Fr wtf
Especially seeing as a halfway decent tablet is half that, and you can use a tablet for all the same stuff, and a lot more.
This is a sponsored video, so, not surprising
@@dan1273 yup, GLASS is a really good app, hei Loupedeck I dont need your extra expensive stuff, cheerio :D
It's very expensive, and I'm not gonna get one, but an elgato stream deck XL or studio run around £200. Given this has significantly more inputs than a SD studio I think it's pretty in line price wise with comparable products on the market. It's still not cheap but I think it's priced fair enough for what it is. Get the bag boredgamer
You still have to search thru the keybinds , you are just adding another step .that's the issue they keep changing keybinds .
I use game glass. They do all that crap
No it's actually nice for SC because there are so many and you can add icons that make sense. But I personally wouldn't recommend it cause of the extra CPU and money drain.
I've been building up my SC setup at home and this loupedeck might be something I might check further. Thanks for the video
I just want to know if you can you use the dials for mining power level.
For that price it had better
I still haven't figured out what the best controls for SC will be. HOSAS for flying, keyboard/mouse for FPS, gamepad for driving ground vehicles. And that probably doesn't even scratch all the keybinds the game has available.
I got a stream deck a while ago, but I just keep it disconnected now because the software just cause so many problems so I’m really curious if this would have any of those same issues
Thrust master MFD's are £90 and you get two of them - there's 26 buttons on each and they are more inline with a cockpit aesthetic, plus you can use fix them to your hotas joystick desk mounts to make them in range of your fingers
Thank you for covering this topic, I have been curious about this very thing for a bit now.
If CIG keep going like this, one day my whole desk will be buttons etc
I am looking at starting streaming and doing video edits, do the knobs work for editing and also for turning down and up volumes on stream?
What software do you use for video editing
Here’s a shortcut to check it out: loupedeck.com/products/loupedeck-live/?BoredGamer
The drivers are highly customizable. So you can probably program it to do whatever you need it to do. And you can get tons of custom setups online.
DaVinci Resolve 19 right now.
@jbirdmax the dials are what I am liking. How cool would it be to control your Star Citizen Mining laser with the dial.
I just got gameglass so as I got lifetime membership I can not see the point of anything else that does the same job
Interesting gadget! Thanks for the demo, Bored n' Zin! Take care! 😉👍
It would have been nice to have had a PiP of you using the LoupeDeck while to see how it is while flying.
Nah, it was too stupid to show. 😅 At least from a HOSAS user's point of view having commands on that thing that you would want to access easily and quickly without taking your fingers off of your main inputs is a no-go. I would absolutely use it for stuff like requesting landing, operating doors and other secondary systems etc... but for that price and with the extra CPU drain and bloatware? No thanks...
this is a thing already with voice command hot keys for Elite Gamers. This is more extra and more custom way to make everything flow being a captain flying a ship with crew...
Hmm one more thing to add to the flight setup? Already have two sticks with some 30 buttons each that I don't always remember. Especially when in a panic. 😅
wow this really looks great. would be a good addition to the set up
Honestly, I think I still prefer the GSkill WigiDash. Hoping they eventually allow animated buttons in the future, but still pretty nice in the meantime.
I just tore open a $10 wireless keyboard and turned it into a funky diy button box. Loads of tutorials on youtube.
To each their own i suppose. I also tried adding extra input devices and that scale of freedom for configuration looks handy. but other than a super cheap throttle for my mining laser, even SC has just ended back with keyboard/mouse and me slightly modifying and remembering the keybinds
I already got a loupedeck and I've loved it for streaming, hopefully I can get even more use out of it as I think it could help with the adhd and forgetting lots of shot cuts.
I was looking at getting one of these when I am not spending money on ships. Thanks for showing some of it off
Virple flight controls throttle and stick give you a LOT of options and feel very cool but this would be an amazing add on to their stuff too
Reconfiguring keybinds is always a pain in the b....
Game Glass is completely next level.
if i had the money right now that would be amazing to have for Star citizen, would not also mind if the released a VR version of this game, would be intense
How might someone use the Loupedeck with Illustrator or other adobe stuff?
the small amount of buttons is the main reason I will continue to use my 32 key stream decks and gameglass but interesting device
Game glass, that’s more than you will ever need. Love it!
The Loupdeck sounds really cool. I'd probably upgrade to VKB sticks and a Tobii but... One Day™.
Thanks for going through this, though I highly doubt I'll get one.
I honestly LOVE to watch you two play. I know you were checking out the Loopdeck, but it was still great and fun content to watch.
Seems like a niche tool for most people but a really good one for streamers and content creators.
Might be cool for future ship Engineers
I have a Stream Deck and really like it. The knobs on the LoupeDeck look pretty awesome, so I might get one.
So far I am fine with mouse/keyboard for FPS and HOSAS for flying, but that tool looks interesting. Not need to have, but nice to have for sure.
Yikes. That is a bit more expensive than I expected but it looks cool.
Interesting, especially Aldo being able to control your house lights. I wonder what more RL functional programming it could have.🇺🇦🇭🇹🇵🇸
If they can get the networking stuff sorted out this will be the best game of all time. I hope it becomes a priority after server meshing
There are some great peripherals out there if people have the cash for convenience
I love the programmability, but I'm honestly not sure about using a touch-screen in a live game where combat can happen at any time. I need touch and muscle memory so my eyes come off the screen as little as possible.
Clicking the thumbs up button does so much for the channel. Please consider doing so 🙏❤️🌹
true dat!
I just use T16000m HOSAS and Buzzkillers keybind profiles. Everything else i bind to my keyboard. Literally no need for one of these im afraid. I tried Gameglass once but was too delayed, so just binded stuff to keyboard that is not on the sticks :) Get used to knowing what key is what after a while, apart from 3.23 as they added a whole load of mostly usless binds haha I'd have no other use for a Loupedeck
These are neat but they'll have to be cheap, it's really for tier 3 controls after setting the most important functions to your mouse, stick, and or left side of your keyboard.
I use a throttle that has 25 (over all) toggles. I STILL might need this, god there are alot of keys.
I got a Corsair Nexus for that. Nice idea on paper but these display consoles cost CPU resources. Yes it's not much but it adds up, especially since you have to keep the driver bloatware running too, and in SC you will want as little extra drain on your CPU as possible. Also the value proposition just isn't there IMO.
I still enjoy my Stream Deck and Dream Deck XL. But if I didn't have one, this would be a decent alternative by the looks of it.
Gameglass was a fun experience.
I want a voice attack set up to sound like Sir Christopher Lee.
It might have helped if you had a image (picture, diagram, or video) of the Loupedeck so we can see what you are trying to do.
Looks interesting, but I will probably stick to gameglass and build a custom buttonbox with additional controls
I would love to play around with one of these.
Now i have a xl and a plus stream decks, putting money aside, what reason do I have too switch to Loupdeck?
nothing much except maybe having a touch screen instead of physical buttons, and you have some gesture control that i dont think either of those has, i can just swipe left or right to switch between pages
I'll probably get myself a voice activation setup before other peripherals. I only have two hands after all.
I used to have 32 keybinds in wow and do not want to even count how many are in this game.
This looks great but as others are saying £300 is just not a cost I can justify. I use a Logitech hotas system and find there is plenty of options even dials for things like mining which is very useful.
This is so cool. Recently got HOSAS and it'd be fun to add this to it.
I missed the Nordassic Park promo. Hahahaha
seems like a great alternative for streamdeck
Glad to see you’re making some cash money friend! Thanks for the content, definitely can’t afford one of these though 😂
I have the Elgato streamdeck and dont want to miss it. I bet this would do the trick too.
Between pc, sticks, tobi, ships, pedals i think thats enough spending...
Another thing to add to my SC setup list
I've considered getting one of these kinds of things, but I'm not a streamer or anything, nor do I do any computer creative work, so I don't think it would justify the cost enough.
That sounds good already the dynamic mode. Vibration is for hell divers wrist computer or somthing lol
I think I would rather stick with a custom built button box. Looks neat, but seems too convoluted
I need a profile for my stream deck
Use it for more than a year now, love it.
Thought about using something like this. glad to see a review..
You really should have pointed a camera at the deck for your review of the deck
Don't have the space for one of those, nor the money, but they look amazing!
This looks interesting, but I don't know if it justifies the price point.
Bro made a 15 minute advertisement
Never heard of this before, will check it out
Gotta finish my Joystick setup before i get in on anything else hardware wise.
loopdeck also has features Elgato dosnt' MIDI CONTROL so you can LOOP YORU LOOP though your voicemetter to control your volume directly I for one would be doing it cheeaper using a subzero mini midi controler but hey 49.99 is good for a 12 slider desktop solution
I do like things that I see a use outside of one or a handful of games. But I have a Stream deck already
I use an TuneUp just to control my game, chat, and music volume... it looks like the loupedeck is like that but on steroids, may have to look into that.
Thanks for the update ...
Indeed looks like a cool bit of kit
3.23 is just around the corner
Cool. I may get one to compliment my new PC.
Definately has potential
Cool, the LoupDeck looks intresting might need to chek it out,
While I'll admit it looks very cool and all, it's very expensive. I kinda hope it won't get too normalised so that CIG takes it for granted and keeps keybinds as obtuse, if not more so, as they are now in the future. The game should be intuitive and playable with just a mouse and keyboard with numpad IMO
Looking really cool. Never tought you could use this/streamdeck like this for SC. Might be some future investment :)
2:25 Ringing endorsement there...😉
I would like to test the engineering and arena commander
The Tobii eye tracker and my VKB Gladiators are about at the end of my periferal budget. It looks like a nice bit of tech but at $270 for some extra buttons ima have to pass.
What about on the pc x mobile phone or tablet gameglass?
Wow that thing is amazing
Looks cool, but I have enough buttons on my flight sticks...
This isn't something that would appeal to me but glad Elgato have some competition.
Very cool, and I think will only get better with time, but I personally don't think I can justify the cost as I can't see it bring as much fun to the game as something like my HOSAS did. However, time, and more examples of use, may convince me otherwise.
Learning new key binds :( The loop deck is cool but I think it might be too complicated for me.
