Taking off that exhaust manifold definitely drew a line in the sand for great diagnosis of the true problem. Good job!!
I must have slept thru the first time. I did not remember your work on the turbo at all. Your mechanical knowledge is amazing.
Well done. You and ole Diesel Creek sure now how to live....
I got a real attraction to those 80’s LTLs. Used to drive for a guy that ran LTLs. Ended up with one on the farm. They was good trucks in their day.
Thanks I always had a thing for them as well and this one came along with a blown up Cummins and I had a friend with the 5EK in a Freightliner I figured perfect opportunity
She is happy again!!! Love that feeling.
What a mess!!!! I remember bringing them back to the shop on the hook with oil dripping down the windows + everywhere else. I think we used dishwashing detergent to clean out the intercooler. Anyway.....👍 nice job.
My first visit here From Matt @ Diesel Creek. SUbscribed. And thaks for using the proper word - GALLED - not "galded".
Come over from Diesal Creek YT channel. Looks like I have a whole new lot ov videos to watch!! Nice to see DC make a voice appearence :)
Thanks for stopping by!
I new turbo was bad when I saw oil dripping out the exhaust. I had several fail when I drove.
why do I feel like calling 911 after watching and hearing what was going on. LOL
8 mins in and I think the exh flow would cause a Venturi type effect and pull the oil vapour from the crank case
I would love to see a full walkthrough and details on this truck
I said turbo issue pushin out oil exhaust when Matt was flowing you lol😊😊
sweet truck
I've been driving them for 40 years and every time it comes out the exhaust it's always been a blown turbo. At least for me it has.
Nice old truck Sam. Nice yellow Firebird btw 👍🏻
Thank you!

Hey did you bought a harness or how did you did it hope to here back from you thanks in advance and nice job.
I gutted the parts truck and then modified from there. So it is mostly as Freightliner did it. Thanks for watching!

My truck did that and the turbo was bad it was pushing oil under load
Switch blade turbo
Still haven’t washed my truck 😂
Good way to keep it from rusting!
@@ScrappyIndustries it’s aluminum lol
Curiosity? That killed the cat😉. Dont know what you and matt have with turbo s but its a catastrofe when the 3(4? depends on the amount of turbo s on the spot😉) are together.
Good time! Im not looking forward to what blows apart on the Autocar once its back on the road
Don’t worry if the ford is running I’ll come help rescue you lol
@@ScrappyIndustries you might have to pull me anyway with only that small cam under the hood
I do believe that one was throughly used up.
