On a serious note though watch the fight again a couple of times if needed and you will come to the same and real conclusion of the judges and many fight breakdown analysts. Volk was hitting the air a lot and the crowd was going crazy with every movement he made, Volk won the last minute or two of the 5th and made all the casuals lose their senses and dismiss the other 4 and 1/2 rounds, add that in with the biased live commentary and throw in the media pro Volk push and then you get a certified hype job! Don't get it twisted, Volk is a beast with solid skills but you have to think with your heads and not your hearts people, when you watch the fight back you can easily see 3-2 Islam and even 4-1 Islam, many fight break down analysts are saying the same thing that I saw when I watched it live. For people to say it was a robbery is retarded and if you want to go down that route then how about when Volk met Holloway the first 2 times, now you can argue them fights for sure but hey It is what it is and Im just saying how it really is because I'm that type of guy👊

The judges assessment does not only assess punches but also assesses, among other things, the damage given to the opponent, the combination of standing and ground control, takedown and takedown defense, and aggressiveness. As well as in the islam vs Volkanovski fight, Islam excelled in takedown and takedown defense.

At the very best scenario Volk has won 2 rounds, so Islam won undoubtedly, however just score the takedowns count in the most controversial rounds (2nd & 3rd) and you will understand that even 4:1 to Islam would be fair enough, especially upon crazy pressure against Russia (remember M. Ankalaev & P. Yan fights). Spoiler alert: I heard clearly from Islam that he is ready for rematch with Volk to prove he is the best 😉
