On Fact Fiend there's single video where Simon was guest host during the pandemic. I wish there were more collabs, they had great chemistry and Karl has written for Simon's channels for years (hence the interim hosting gig).

I'm just going to go out on a limb and conclude 'what happened to' 99% of paintings that haven't been recovered in last 150yrs: 1) Destroyed in war (if that's when it disappeared) 2) Stolen (by orders of its owner, for insurance $), then distroyed/burnt/thrown in garbage...bcuz lets face it: for them it was about the 'value' of it, not about the 'artwork'. 3) #2. ... 97) Stolen but just sitting in vault/under a mattress for 50yrs 98) Stolen but smuggled to an authoritarian country (where the elite are basically 'untouchable') IE China 9999) Damaged by natural disaster and 'lost to the storm'
Legendary book, in my opinion. No idea how it will end, but it is thrilling to keep on your shelf. The thing is that someone put effort into writing it, more dedicated their time to getting the cover designed, and yet more published it. I just love seeing passion put into material form, even if the story turns out silly.
Like many others, I am hoping that you will soon be able to drop the term 'interim' as I have come to love your style of hosting this and the sister channels. You are doing an excellent job as you become more relaxed with your new duties and it's always fun to watch your little aside comments. You are very different from Simon, but that's a good thing. Thank you for being such a great host!

I am really enjoying your hosting and presentation of the content. I'm a follower of the Whistlerverse and enjoy both of your videos very much.
The big secret is that the originals were never displayed, but when the high-end fakes were stolen, the originals needed to be kept private (lest the secret be let out.). The rich don't care about the inconvenience of keeping their art private. In fact, they may have paid for the "heists." My theory anyway.
Karl, you do a great job hosting! I've grown attached to your personality and style, I stayed subscribed because of you. I don't miss Simon on these channels at all (I prefer some variety in my video consumption).

I do hope you can drop the "Interim" in "Interrim Host" soon for all the channels you are hosting. Hope the Channel Owners are paying attention. We viewers and Subscribers are quite pleased with Karl, I even want to say that if you bring in someone else, the channel will take a massive hit... don't do it!
5:11 yeah, I kind of feel like if you own or run a museum. It might be good to have security cameras and alarms for all of the paintings and working and maybe even turned on. It’s not a fridge with your kids drawings

Buying a book just because the cover & blurb looked cool is literally the point though; that's how we make the initial judgement of whether or not it's even something you might be tempted to read. Judging a literal book by its cover when buying it is legitimate.
