  • I feel compelled to point out that the reason Koazy sleeps so well is because of the routine you have set throughout the day and before bed. He's engaged with all day, and he knows what to expect, which is so important for young children. You've done that. Well done!

    • That is true but also it depends on the child and what phase they are in. My son hated sleeping when he was a baby. He still does and he is almost. We had a daily routine and he still does. He knows the time now and he knows what to do depending on what time it is. And yet he still hates sleeping and thinks it's actually a punishment 😂

    • @@megangrant2597 There are some children who struggle with sleep, for sure! And usually (usually) it has to do with separation anxiety, being overstimulated, being over tired, or weathering a cold, teething, etc. There are some children who suffer from sleep regression, but it doesn't last long, if it's met with tools and techniques to help. It is something children typically grow out of when they are met with consistency in their routine. If not, it's important to look at what factors may be making the child feel like sleeping is a punishment. We have to be taught to soothe ourselves, to wind down after the day, and to feel comfortable and safe in our beds. The environmental factors and the routine are key. Just out of curiosity, as a form of discipline, is he sent to his room for time out? If so, that could by why he associates bedtime with being punished. There are other reasons why he might feel the way he does, but this one came to mind first.

    • @@lmm979 Thank you so much for the comment and the care. I wrote mine just to mention that there are phases that children go through and sometimes nothing helps. I was blaming myself for so long but I came to realise that this is who he is now. He is never punished with time out, sometimes when he is too frustrated I will ask him to sit in silence until he is calm but I am always next to him. And whenever he feels better we talk about what happened and how he felt. Anyway, long story short my mother told me that I was the same. Hated sleeping and loved being active in the night. I am still a night owl myself so I accepted it. So my idea was that sometimes you can do everything perfectly and still the child will know better what they need. He is happy, healthy and full of energy. We still go to bed at reasonable time and we read before that and we snuggle until he no longers needs me and then he falls asleep. Sorry for he long explanation and again thank you for being so kind in your comment.

I'm a night owl, too, but I sure do love my bed! I agree, sometimes parents can do everything right and not find resolve. I apologize if my comment offended you in any way.

    • @@lmm979 No worries, your response was nothing but kind. I absolutely understand what you are saying and I guess I just didn't explain it the way it is in reality. He just likes to postpone sleeping as much as possible. He is not angry or scared of sleeping, just prefers to be awake and do something else. He can be a bit hyperactive ( not a diagnosis, I haven't taken him to a psychiatrist because at school he is perfect and calm and just has a lot of energy when he comes home) so I guess he prefers doing everything else but sleeping and that's why I said it is punishment. I now realise it's a bit strong word. Two nights ago he just started rearranging his desk and last night he started reading an interesting book and couldn't put it down for a long time. I was blaming myself for a long time because he refused to sleep durin the day when he turned 2 and he goes to sleep a bit lated than his peers but I came to realise that this is what works for him and I can't force him to sleep whenever he doesn't need sleep. Once again thank you for reading and responding kindly to my long story

  • Please don't ever stop reading to Kozy. My kids were in high school and I was still reading to them. Not kids books obviously but today in their late twenties all three of them love books. They talk about them all the time. It is a beautiful memory that I will cherish my entire life. 😊

I love cozy vlogs, realistically speaking this comes the closest I love that the chaos is kept to minimum and it seems like you all have a really well set routine.   • I live in the southern US. There are always deceased opossums on the road. So our joke goes like this: Why did the chicken cross the road? To prove to the possum that it could be done. My grandkids find it as about as funny as Koazy found Connor’s joke.

  • I loved this type of vlog! It's nice to see what your up to even if it's just your basic day to day. Watching koazy is such a treat! He's at the age right now where everything he says & does is the cutest thing ever! I know it must get stressful trying to figure out video ideas all the time. I'm sure i speak for a lot of people when i say, I hope you both know popping on the camera & treating us to a video like this can turn out to be some of the best ones! Your ability to be genuine, kind, & open with whats going on in your world big or small is a breath of fresh air! Way better than people faking b.s for views.

  • Tip: too tired to take your makeup off... keep some micellar water makeup remover wipes in your bedside drawer with a jar of night cream. Garnier makes some really nice wipes with hydration and they work like a charm even on waterproof mascara! ❤

  • We rented when my kids were young, lots of things you can do! You can use command hooks to hang up pictures without damaging the walls. There are also a lot of wall clings that stick by static. Shelves are the only thing that can be difficult if they really have a no wall damage clause. But the other things will definitely brighten it up! Too bad I can't share pictures here.

  • I dont even have kids and this is so relatable. I love watching your videos because you guys are so normal. You're not like crazy famous youtubers, you're just normal people living life. You make me feel so capable of doing anything i want, including being a parent, because you make it look so realistic. You're allowed to have a messy house or not have had a shower for probably too long, you're allowed to have lazy days or weeks or months. You're allowed to try and try and try again for things to still not quite be what you were after but just making it work until it does. You guys are just such real people that i find it truly inspiring, which seems so bizarre but its true. Love you guys so much, hope you are having an amazing week ❤
