There Is NO SPRINTER Like Noah Lyles || This is Not Yet All We Have Seen.
It is no secret that American sprinter #NoahLyles is aiming at history in more ways than one. In fact, the 26-year-old may just be the face of track and field, a title an American hasn't held in quite some time, especially after his astounding performance at last year’s World Championships.
Needless to say, he appears to be on the fast track to similar success in Paris. The 2023 World Athlete of the Year in the men’s track category came to receive the award after a stellar season. After all, Lyles' 2023 campaign saw him take three gold medals at the Worlds, with individual victories in the 100m and 200m and as part of Team USA's winning 4x100m relay squad. What’s even more notable, though, is that he is the first American to win a Male Athlete of the Year award since decathlete Ashton Eaton in 2015.

  • Lyles has a shot to get the 200m WR, but he would need to solely focus on that as he would run out of energy in his legs if he chooses to double (evidence by last year's Budapest 200m Final). The 100m record is a pipe dream. No offense to Lyles but he's not breaking that record, Usain Bolt is just that much of a superior athlete to everyone.

    @Samsation93@Samsation93Ай бұрын
    • I agree with you. Running all the prelims, semi-finals, and finals in the 100 will take alot out of you. He need to focus on the 200, and maybe just the 4x100 relay. Anything more is too much. But of course, I don't think he is going to do that. Erriyon Knighton more than likely is only going to do the 200 and that would be smart. He would have the advantage with fresh legs.

    • Last season Lyles got back to his more usual 19.5s. Beats me why people claim it had anything to do wirh him being tired this and that. Just a few weeks prior Lyles had ran a 19.47s on fresh legs. Wake up guys, you're falling for the hype.

      @Yes_I_c4n@Yes_I_c4nАй бұрын
    • @Yes_I_c4n I'm not hyping up Lyles at all. He did run 19.31 at his physical peak at the World Championships in 2022 so I'm just giving him his props for running such a fast time. But last season when he ran 19.5 (WC not included) the conditions and what was at stake weren't quite at WC level and/or he wasn't yet at his physical peak from a fitness standpoint. I do believe he would've ran around a 19.3 second 200m at last year's Worlds had he not doubled with the 100m adding additional wear on his legs, Because he would've probably met the 2 conditions I mentioned prior of peak physical fitness and the atmosphere of a WC stage to produce a historically fast time like he did in 2022.

  • Naaah, Lyles is very good but not Usain Bolt Good. Bolt ran 9.58 in the 100m when he ran 19.19. Not only bolt is 6.5ft as opposed to 5.10ft. Maybe 19.29 tops!!!

    • Height has nothing to do with it

      @jja5895@jja5895Ай бұрын
    • Lyles already ran a 19.31 and has improved his start. So I give him maybe a 19.24. And I'm no fan of Lyles. Lyles does have more stamina than Bolt, but like you said being 6'5 with a longer stride does have a serious advantage in the longer sprints.

      @mauricemordecai4376@mauricemordecai4376Ай бұрын
    • @@jja5895 yes it does especially in the 200m. You have an advantage of a longer stride. Think about it.

      @socman3988@socman3988Ай бұрын
    • Lyles finishes faster than bolt in the 200m it is not about height, noah just needs to run a better curve and the record will be challenged and with this new 60m speed hard to not see him getting near to it

      @jja5895@jja5895Ай бұрын
    • Bolt's acceleration based on his long strides far exceeds Lyles'. Whether it's the 100 or 200, Lyle's is no match. If Tyson Gay and Justin Gatlin tried their best to emulate him and if Yohan Blake who ran 19.26 but still cannot beat Bolt then who is Noah. If Bolt was still around, he will still be metres in front of Lyles before the breast the tape.

    • I agree with you. He just don't have any charisma like Bolt. He is very brash, arrogant, ridiculing Knighton wasn't a good look. Ask any kid who they would rather show up at their birthday. Bolt who is retired or Lyles. 9 out of 10 would choose Bolt.

We are the reason why blacks get scholarships and run track.
