I'm just lucky to be in this position where I am able to put together jokes that people will recognize as comedy, but I don't wanna hate on anyone at SNL since it must be hard running a comedy show without any comedy. • Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him. True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better! Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness. *God is ONE manifesting himself as THREE;* the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him! *For these three are one.* As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him. Anyone who *claims* to be a Christian and is against what I am doing, and where I am doing it; the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them, they lack understanding. They know not God, read his word, and their religion is in vain. Do not hear them, they will mislead you, the lost cannot guide the lost.

  • Joel Haver is a class act. I'm sure he is just as shocked as everyone else about what seems like a blatant copy of his work. I never thought about how easy it would be for network TV writers to just watch the countless talented creators on KZhead and steal from them thinking no one will notice. I haven't watched SNL in years, their problem is that even if they have a funny premise they ruin it with bland dialogue and unfunny, stilted delivery. Joel's characters talk and interact in such a realistic and relatable way that it makes for comedy gold. Keep up the good work Joel!

They would deny stealing his idea , and it would just be a huge hassle for him to go through all the BS. If the situation was flipped around though, and they accused him of stealing an idea for a skit, they would sue him into the ground and own his channel and all it's content by now, and then garnish his wages for the rest of his life probably. • I frickin' love you. You've taken a situation where many lesser individuals would have undoubtedly reacted either aggressively or negatively, and you've turned it into a positive like no one else could. You took 'being the bigger man' to a whole new level, promoting some excellent other channels. If more people were like you, the world would be a much better place.

In fact, we should be ashamed of this Nobody for being so reductive. And don't try to argue or disagree with me. Because you yourself said to not be aggressive or negative. I'd hate to call you a hypocrite

    • I dunno, I think he should hold them to task (if he can) its a matter of principle, they have not payed him, just stolen his Idea repackaged they will make Millions of ad revenue from that, and if he does not challenge it, he runs the risk of them challenging him and trying to pretend they own the IP. This kind of stuff happens all the time. Also not contesting this in a certain amount of time actually says legally "i dont own this", thats part of copyright law, you have to make efforts to enforce it to take it too court and win, or not lose if they try to screw him later down the line. Because equally if they did that he could legally end up being ruled as not the owner of the IP. I agree his attitude is really good from an emotional and human POV, but from a legal POV he should look into it for his and the sake of others like him, if possible

    • Nice as it is, I think SNL still should be doing something like this for Joel. Or at least recognize that 90+% of their sketch was plagiarized and give credit where it's due. Because let's face it, if Joel weren't so nice, and he wanted to sue, I'm pretty sure he'd win. SNL needs to acknowledge Joel and apologize or at least recognize his work publicly, regardless of whether they intentionally stole it or not.

  • Same kind of thing happened to my DM. We've been playing the same campaign for several years, and from time to time, NPC and place names inevitability pop up in other media. It became a running joke that our DM was unconsciously predicting the future, etc. So I pranked him. I write our sessions down in a log, like a story book. I had this printed into a book with a custom cover, then hid it in a bookshelf at our next cabin trip and arranged for him to stumble across it. I wish I'd recorded his series of reactions as he first found a book with his custom campaign as the title, then a far too familiar cover, before finally realizing he was being pranked.
