  • Its amazing how many people sit and criticize someone for their work and craft when really, I am grateful for this video on the mere fact that I felt like I was invited to be on a ride a long. I don't think we were invited to sit and complain about something when you are watching from your streaming devices. You aren't paid to judge videos. So sit and enjoy or stfu and move on. Thank you DLL for this video and sharing. I had fun watching it. Please ignore the KZhead experts lol.

  • I know everyone has their own way of doing everything but here's my .02 cents. Been plowing for 20 years, big lots, small lots and even driveways and have used straight blades with wings, v blades and now 8611 expandable plows and push boxes on our backhoe. A lot that size and that amount of snow I would have used the blade like a push box, put it in mid scoop and just keep making pushes straight back to the pile, then every passes go back and clean up the over spill. You'll be moving more snow per push.

  • Why do u run your plow in full scoop on those long passes? It's faster if u just run it scooped in just a little bit so your getting more of the full width of the plow

    @Hollerboy_69@Hollerboy_69 Жыл бұрын
    • My thoughts exactly. plow is wider when its not fully scooped. i was cringing every time i saw full V and the snow just coming out both sides lol.

    • @@SimonWoodburyForget there are aspects of what you said that are true. But this guy is using a full ton pickup truck that can easily push a full plow of the consistency of snow in which he was plowing. If it had been a foot of really heavy wet snow, you wouldnt even have the plow in V formation, you would angle the blade left or right and do wind rows until the lot is clear. This guy just creates more work than necessary.

      @gavincook4836@gavincook4836 Жыл бұрын
    • @@gavincook4836 he needs sides on the wings and run it straight like a box pusher to handle that much snow on a lot that size. That setup is just too small but agree he could have done it faster than he did. He could have just made his runs 90 degrees to what he did and windrowed it in clean passes all to that end and then pushed it over the curb in short pushes at the end, for example.

  • If you're going to back up 100 feet and your plow is overflowing after 50 feet, you are wasting 100 feet of travel (50 down and 50 back). Unless you are windrowing, once your plow is full, anything after that is a waste of time, fuel and labor.

    @markusmilitello8616@markusmilitello86166 ай бұрын
  • Plow's too small for that lot and that much snow. I'd make some 18" long sides for those wings that hook on and run it full width like a box pusher to hog the snow off. Save you a lot of time.

    @jamesnm21@jamesnm21 Жыл бұрын
    • On that main section you might try making 3 or 4 windrow passes from the left curb, then turn 90 degrees and windrow it all to the end where you put it and then push it over the curb in short pushes. The idea being all windrow passes are clean passes with no clean up required.

  • Im sitting here wondering how the hell you make any money taking that long to plow a medium sized lot?. By scooping and pushing like you're doing, you're only pushing snow until your plow fills up and the rest blows off the side and THEN you have to go back and plow everything you just did. Makes absolutely no sense.

    @Mrvegasirrocks@Mrvegasirrocks Жыл бұрын
    • while i agree his process is PAINFUL to watch, we get so much snow here you can't windrow it. you HAVE to relocate all the snow to the designated storage area. sucks but it's what has to be done.

      @nocoolname32@nocoolname3210 ай бұрын
    • @@nocoolname32 i would charge them double if they made me do it like this. But my guess is he could cut the lot in half and push it on opposite sides and cut the length of his runs in half. Way more efficient than taking full length swipes where the plow is full less than halfway down. I imagine he knows by now.

A plow designed to save you time and you made it take more time lol keep that thing out of scoop, you’re not doing yourself any good, especially when you have wings. Keep it straight and windrow each pass. No need to put one wing in like you were doing
