I look forward to these videos so much. Your work is beautiful! I've always had a love for fishing hooks and flies, as my dad is a fisherman. As a kid he always took me with him to buy new flies, and I was always fascinated by the pretty selection. I also have a love for ASMR, so really this is just my dream combination and I'm so thankful I came across you.
You are exactly who I hope sees these! I think fishing and fly tying can evoke such strong nostalgia. I love that it gave you a moment to think about your dad and all the flies and lures in the shop! (Incidentally, I STILL comb through all the pretty flies at the local outfitter shop) 💙

Does the epoxy/glue you use dramatically change the weight/floating ability of the fly?
Great question! This fly is meant to sink - the tungsten bead at the front and the wire wrap ensure that it does. In a dry fly that should sit in the surface, if I ever used UV glue, I would use it sparingly to avoid weighting down the fly 😊

I can see what it is about these that make the fish think this is a real thing to eat have you ever realized that how we see it, is exactly how a fish sees it, they don’t contort their vision or oh my god do they? Is that was it is? Are fish dumb??? Why did I think a fish was as smart as a human oh my god am I the dumb one and why is this sentence so hard to think Up and type out
Love this! Different fish have different eyes and fields/spectrums of vision. We can be fairly certain fish don’t see these exactly as we do, but we can exaggerate certain features that can entice fish to bite 😊
