Without a doubt the best car metal work channel on KZhead.
If you have never been called an artist, let me be the first , because you truly are. Thank you for another enjoyable video..
Lol, he says he doesn’t want to use an English wheel because not any people have one, so he goes out an gets other body panels, as if that was something people had many of laying around 🙄
Amazing. Nothing fancy, no bullshit, just a skilled man with a good eye. Said it before will say it again - absolute pleasure to watch you at work
👍👍😎👍👍
We lost all the good skilled men under Thatcher now we reap what we have sown
The classic car and kit car industry is a billion pound turnover concern The reason it packed up was the EU inspectors were told to fail them this came from BMW and the other German car makers they wanted everybody to buy there cars
@@tonyclough9844 Thatchers reign ended 30 years ago, and she's been dead 7 years! I'd say we've had plenty of time to retrain. Any shortage of skilled tin bashers is more to do with nobody liking to get dirty hands rather than any politics. I do a little basic metalwork myself, and know a few very good car restorers, English and Polish.
Watched it from beginning to end. Wow! This is better than being inside the classroom. I really admire your work and you keep motivating me to finish my project. Thank you.
I said it a few years back and I say it again... You are one of the the most skilled hotrod fabricators on KZhead. Thank you for all the years of knowledge you have given us.
That was truely amazing watching you transform the metal . Thanks for inspiring so many people the way you do!
Michelangelo once said: "“The sculpture is already there, I just have to chisel away the superfluous material.” Same goes for this great craftsmanship and how you eyed a non-existent part from scrap. Very well done Sir! Great work.. 👍👍👍
I guess Fitzee could be called the Michaelangelo of Metalwork, the Botticelli of Bodywork or the Reuben of Restoration take your pick.
@@siliquaesid703 I like Fitzee of Fabrication. There's no mistaking who we're referring to.
not the tools, rather the hands that handle them. Excellent work and demo.. thanks for all you give.
Great job! I appreciate your use of the tools on hand, nothing special or expensive. Always enjoy your videos.
Thanks a lot Fitzee! I used your videos to help me repair a guard on my son’s Nissan 280zx. It turned out great! You’re an absolute legend!
Always a pleasure watching an old school master.
fitzee uses metal like most people use cardboard for templates. impressive
I'm building a 1946 Studebaker M5 truck...lol...no premade cab corners...this is soooo helpful...thanks for your hard work putting this up!
Thank you for showing me the way you do the wedding. I learned a lot from you
Thanks for all of the fab technique videos. They gave me the knowledge to replace the rusted out bottom of my van door.
I've now watched a dozen or so videos of this guy, put simply he's fantastic. If you work in fabrication or a vehicle body shop watch this guy, not only does he tell you how, he also tells you why you nead to do it in a certain way, he is obviously a very experienced fabricator. I very much appreciate your videos Fitzee , keep em coming. 😁 ..........Ray H (from the UK )
Similar to the corners I'll need to build for the power wagon. Thank you for lending your experience and time to help everyone else. It's magic to watch you work out the problems.
Great video amazing how he can see the metal from old car panel that he can use for his cab corner build, great tips and tricks....still don't know how he welds without a helmet. Thanks Fitzee for posting and sharing
Fitzee, Just getting it done. The no frills way, in this day & age of "buy it" mentality. We are losing the old way of doing things & Fitzee , keeps us reminded of that time. Thanks for posting this & sharing your expertise with it. Stay Real.
Buy? Why if I can make it. Sure buying SOME things is essential, but I'd rather make something then sit with a cold beer and admire MY Work. Make do, mend and recycle. It's the FUTURE!
The mark of a true expert is to make something that is difficult look easy. You Fitzee are more than an expert, you are an artist.
Hey Fitzee. I'm watching and learning, as I have to mold a floor pan for my Mustang. I so much appreciate an old fella like you teaching a young fella like me lol. You're not that old lol. Just your skills.
As someone who grew up watching my father do heavy collision repair it's pretty therapeutic watching you fitzee! Thanks for the great content and keep it up, please.
Also, I'm curious as to why it seems you prefer your Miller more than your Lincoln. Is there a major difference? Is it sentimental?
Watch the setting up a welder video.. Miller was far easier to adjust for thicker thinner metals.
@@tgtg2945 I did watch it, and I myself own a mm35, I was just asking him why, I'm not sure that's his answer but it could be..
Love your work Sir.I’m learning through your techniques to tackle my VW Bus rust. You make it look easy if you use you head and not over complicate your projects.
I gotta say you are the man learned so much from your videos i am restoring a 1969 pontiac grand parisienne and have lots of metal repair to do. You make it look so easy thanks for another great video
Great video and explanations on how to approach a not so easy job. You talk to us and not at us. I too spot and tack without the use of a welding helmet when fitting up parts, but always have safety glasses and hold the mig gun so that the arc flash is away from you and is hidden by the gas nozzle. Thanks again.
I am not alone! Lol.
When I make a lip as you did around the 39 point, I use a fender washer with a small hole and drag the same way I made the first line. You are an artist!
Gotta love the old school east coast enginuity. Reminds me of my Grandpa, make something out of nothing with what you have on hand. From back in the day when a guy maybe couldn't afford a new replacement part, or like you said maybe couldn't get one. Thanks for another great video!
Good Job! I believe videos like yours is a big help for the new fabricators as well as the guys that be doing this kind of repairs for awhile. There are a lot of aftermarket parts out there for all kinds of vehicles, it is the shipping cost you need to pay attention to. So your video shows a good alternate way of doing the repairs, specially if the parts are not available.
Another winner! Thanks for putting it out there. Probably the single most common repair.
Great job reconstructing the cab corner, it takes real skill to make it all blend without all the bondo. Your panel making is definitely and art . Keep up the good work!!!
Lovely work. Well done!
Amazing work Fitzee! I thought I was crazy for never finding the right piece from my scrap metal box. Nice job man! Thanks for the great tips!
Another superb bit of craftsmanship, thanks for sharing Fitzee 👍
Wicked talent Fritzee! Keep em coming, cheers, Doug
Wonderful job on that corner. Very informative.
A master of improvision! I love watching him work!
Wow.. great stuff. Thank you for showing this.
Beautiful work, Tony! Thanks for once again sharing your years of experience!
Really good techniques, great outcome!
The blooper was the best lol. Great job as always. Keep it up
thanks bro, you have given me the insight and confidence to DIY
Very inventive to make a portable rolling bender Thanks for giving actual time I see now I am not as efficient as you but getting it done is key. I been watching others that do not come anywhere near your repairs and they are in the business. I guess production is everything for them.
excellent craftsmanship as always!
I'm convinced Fitzee can build a body using 2 sticks and a rock. Great instructive videos.
Another classic; thanks Fitzee.
Awesome job thanks for all the good videos
Been a follower for a while and just want to thank you for sharing your knowledge, great work.
Perfect work, no Bondo , greetings from Germany
You the man! That keeps me going thank you fitzee!
Absolutely incredible! Patience, skill, and experience.
Just found this site. Loving what you are doing. I am rebuilding a ‘41 Chevy pickup and don’t have all the expensive equipment to fab metal. Great tips on the offset edge and a simple way to curve the metal with the pipe. Good work.
I just found your page, great talent you have..
Thanks for sharing your craft with us all. You do amazing work and I have learned a great deal from these videos that I have and can apply to my own restoration. Thanks again ! Look forward to the next one.
I'm doing the same thing on old airplanes at the Montreal air museum. Trimming and fitting with basic tools. Love watching your work.
Greetings from Ontario, great patch work
That was amazing Fitzee. 👍
This is SUCH a game changer. I’ve used this technique to weld on flares, but never thought of using it to make complex panels like this. Thank you so much for this video.
Fantastic work a true artist !
Great techniques and advice again!
I'm loving your work Fritzee. Glad I found your channel! I dabble in a lot of different things and would love to learn even a little of your skills. Thank you
It's like anything it takes time, turned out great . Thanks for the lesson
Love the video ! Its a big help to see you do it before I try and tackle the corner of my 65 ford 250 custom cab highboy
You never cease to amaze me with your ability to do so much with so little. Great video and camera work on this one.
You are a master. I have learned so much from you. Thank you for these videos.
Wow, amazing work again Fitzee!! They sure don't teach this stuff in trade school anymore. I sure do learn a lot from your videos.
Love your work mate
Gracias por compartir. Hermoso trabajo. Saludos desde Puan, Argentina.
Thanks for another great tutorial Fitzee. When it comes to using a cut-off wheel you are in a league of your own. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see you carving a Thanksgiving turkey with a cut-off wheel! I'm really enjoying watching you do your stuff. Keep up the good work my friend and thanks again for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. Semper Fi!
I was about slack-jawed watching that come together, you are an amazing craftsman. Thanks for sharing.
Tony, it’s amazing what one can do with the tools and materials they have on hand when needed. Hopefully the rain stays away, seems like it’s going to start in here in town any time. I got my rockers from Bob after, thanks for reminding of his place, they were a lot better than I figured I was going to get!! Have a great day and don’t forget your moose burgers!!! 🤣😂
Awesome. Inspiring. I can appreciate the effort that goes into this. I've been doing body work for 25 yrs now and I'm still learning.
Fitzee I hope you live forever and have good health and to show the world true carftsmanship at it's highest level.
amazing fitzee theres nothing you cant do with metal thats awsome thanks again
Just found your channel, great stuff, i wish i had you around a few years ago... amazing
The tricks you're using are genius. I learned so much from these videos.
When you're a magician who panel beats. There's some dedication to showing your viewers how it's done and in creating the finished product.
"I'll just use these scrap panels here" .. which are even the same damn colour as the truck cab :D It's like everything that decade was painted green! Great work as always!
I love those old greens too
Fitzee,,, The metal Magician ! keep em coming
Great work! Nice video!
Another great video from the master. The only negative thing I'll say is "you make it look like even us mere mortals could do this". And I enjoyed that last clip. OUCH!
Thankyou for sharing your ideas and knowledge fascinating to watch and appreciate your honesty.
A really master of craftsmanship.
You are hell on rust. It doesn’t stand a chance. Love watching your videos thanks
I've watched a couple dozen of these vids now and I don't get tired of hearing "dair it is awl whelded upp."
Hahahaha
I love the simplicity of his work, I could watch Fitzee all day. You are a true craftsman, great work brother!!! New sub for sure!!!
I love these videos. Something so intimidating made to look attainable is inspirational. ...also validates all the bits and pieces I keep on hand "for future use"...someone tell the missus!
Awesome info as always! Your knowledge sharing is giving the confidence to get more into metal work and just trying things and seeing what works using the techniques you’ve shared in your vids. Thank you for that!
Fantastic job. Congratulations
Each of your videos is a master class. You could charge a lot of money for these classes. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for taking the time to do this video..
Fitzee. Thanks. I thought I had learnt a lot from your fabrication and welding, but this one just opened up a new avenue. How you started fabrication and fitting from the bottom piece by piece was just a new a revelation for me. Loved it keep up the great tips and teaching. Now time to watch the rest if the video and I hope there are giod long adverts to give me time to go through the comments. Thanks from UK.
I found one of your videos the other day and now I can’t stop, I’ve become a sheet metal junkie bro 🤘🏻😝🤘🏻please don’t stop making videos……I mean it! DON’T EVER STOP!!! 😂
Great job. Lots of work.
You are amazing sir!
Your handmade cab corner fits better than the aftermarket panels! I've got the same job to tackle and appreciate the inspiration!
While you try not to have too many offcuts laying around you still manage to make the repair from a piece that's the right colour! Love the videos, thanks.
Another great video, love that you show that you can use what you have on hand. And that you don’t have the newest gadget to do a job
You are truly an artisan, I really enjoy watching you solve bodywork challenges. Keep up the good work and make more videos.
You got alot of good tips ..i hate welding under cars let alone with no hood ... your crazy!!
You rock !! Thx so much for sharing... We're gonna do our first welding on an Mercedes 508d thanks to you !
