Great intro. Pretty much captures all the most significant points in a brief synopis. I feel that each district/arrondissement was fairly characterized in my opinion. Well done.
Wow! I just returned from my Christmas holiday in Paris. Being an Asian, i would always stay on the 9th whenever i am in town. The 9th never runs out of good Asian restaurants to recalibrate your appetite after devouring on cheese and butter 😊. It is pretty safe, very much accessible and so much of old world charm alongside modern Paris. I highly recommend staying around Le Pelitier or Grands Boulevard metro stations.
Which hotel would you recommend in the 9th?
@@demonslayer1196 Hotel Maxim Folies is fantastic, however on a pricey side. During my recent trip i stayed at Walled-Off hotel along the main street of Rue du Faubourg. Just 3 mins walk from Le Peletier metro station. Moderately priced in a very nice neighborhood.
Lol recalibrate your tastebud 😂😂😂, i know what you mean !!!
Is the 9th like the Chinatown of Paris? We are taking our Asian mum to Paris and she will struggle with the French food, so looking for places that have a good collection of Asian restaurants
@@someonelikeme7551 NO, however it has got a huge concentration of Asian joints. You don’t only get Chinese food in the 9th. There is a plethora of options from Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese to Indian cuisine.
In my opinion your video’s are the best,so practical and applicable to most of us! Thanks for taking us on your journey’s…..
We were recently in Paris for a first short time and we love your videos, they helped us tremendously. We stayed at the Hotel St Germain, ate at Les Suffle and used the Batobus for transportation. We also opted to walk to Paul for breakfast, coffee and pain du chocolate. And the highlight was eating at Burger King with many happy Parisians, lol. Thank you for your time and help.
Great video. Your comments on the 10th were spot on. We stayed at the Midnight Hotel on the Rue du Faubourg and although a nice enough hotel, we were always a little worred after dark. Way to many people sleeping on the streets and never felt comfortable. 1st time in Paris though we stayed at a BnB in the 14th with an amazing lady who owned her own cinema! Brilliant, kept sending poor Michel to the local boulangerie everyday for our baguettes and croissants!
Great thoughts on managing expectations for those travelers who have never been to Paris. Wonderful information as always.
Just love your videos, so informative but also objective and level-headed, bravo!
Thank you for your wonderful and informational videos! We visited Paris many years ago when we lived in Germany while my husband was stationed there with the Air Force. I have flown through CDG with my job, but have not been back to stay and enjoy. We are looking forward to a trip this year…to visit Paris…eat, eat, eat and enjoy some French wines..rent a car and drive to Normandy for a week. It’s a bucket list trip and you guys makes us want to do it even more! 😊I just can’t tell you how much we appreciate your excellent videos! For us they are the best on KZhead.
As always, another comprehensive Parisian video. Your site is the only reference I use. Best wishes in 2023! ✨🎉✨🎉✨🎉✨🎉✨🎉✨🎉✨🎉
The notes about AC and accessibility are so helpful to note as is the smaller room size. Certainly not a negative (as many hotels are in old buildings) but good to know. Same with transportation options. Everyone has their priority when traveling or what's important when booking lodging and you explained the areas/what's there so thoroughly. Super helpful! We felt safe everywhere we went (always keeping eyes open to surroundings) and truly enjoyed our time in the Marais.
I really enjoy staying in the 13th and 14th arrondissements. They are cheaper, but you can find nice places to stay with lots of good food, fewer tourists, and you have easy access to the metro. If you just want a “local” Paris experience, especially in the winter, these are my favorite.
Another terrific video from Les Frenchies! We just returned, spending a week in Paris for Christmas. We stayed in Hotel Montalembert in Saint Germain. The staff were all so kind, the room was small but very nicely appointed, and the location was delightful. We had breakfast most mornings just down the block at Maison Galland, a Les Frenchies recommended patisserie .
Hi Frenchies, I really love your videos, I've been in Paris just once for a week years ago, I hope to travel again soon, in the meantime I watch your videos every weekend to learn more about the city. Sending you love and light from Santiago de Chile !!
we had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Gaillon near Opera in November. It was affordable, clean, and staff were amazing. It was a 10 min walk from the Louvre, a 5 min walk to Galeries la Fayette and Plaza Vendome. And of course the Opera Garnier was a beautiful sight to see each day. Im so thankful we stayed there.
Merci!!! You are certainly more like the torch bearers for Paris & France, of course. Keep it coming.👍
Thanks for these tips. I have stayed in the 5th & 6th Arrondissements (le Jardin du Luxembourg, Odeon,, Sorbonne, Pantheon areas) and yes, cobblestones & small rooms are part of the charm - not a problem.
We will be visiting Paris for 9 days in May of this year. Our first visit. Your videos and travel guide are proving to be so valuable. Your information will be so helpful. We are going to try as many of your favorite resturants as we can. Maybe we will see you there!
You guys are the best!! I went to Paris last Spring. Thank you for all your informations and advice. It was amazing!!
I’m visiting Paris for the first time in Sep. I’ve only watched two videos so far but this is wonderful! Thanks so much
Bonne et heureuse année à vous. You put a lot of research and work into your video. Your recommendations are very accurate and helpful. Hope your chain will grow very fast in 2023 with more people travelling.
Your travel video presentations are the absolute best I have ever viewed. You two are awesome 😎
Great video! We were in Paris last May and stayed in the 16th which I recommend for a quiet neighborhood feel and great Metro access at Trocadero and Victor Hugo. We stayed at the Renaissance Paris Nobel Tour Eiffel Hotel and loved it.
So helpful! In the end we ended up booking something in the 2nd arrondissement. Thank you for these wonderful videos. We are excited to introduce Paris to our son!
You guys were the most amazing and helpful channel that i watched for my research for our first europe trip. The best and the way you explained are wise was commendable 👏🏼🙌🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🫶🏼 Thank you for making my life easy 🤭♥️🇫🇷
This video was super helpful. My own tip would be if wanting to stay in the 8th near the Champs Elysees, my French boss always has asked me to book him into Hôtel Le Marianne, which I think is an absolute gem for the price. Stylish decor, lovely amenities and much less than other hotels in the area.
Just back in Australia after a week in Paris. Loved it, and used quite a few of your tips and recommendations. Thank you!!
We stayed in the 7th near Rue Cler several years ago and loved it. We stayed at the Hotel Relais Bosquet and were very pleased with the location, room, and the breakfast. We had dinner on or near Rue Cler several times and always got a great meal with excellent service. Very short walk to the Rodin Miuseum, Eiffel Tower, and even to the Arc de Triomphe.
Excellent overview of major visitor areas in Paris. Thanks Antoine and Colleen!
This is the information that we are looking for. Paris will be much more enjoyable after watching your videos. Thank you so much 🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Loved our stay in the 14th - lots of shops, bakeries, food and atmosphere.
very true about the lack of AC in many hotels and also the stair designs. many hotels have elevators, but they stop in between floors and you still gotta go through stairs
Was just there with my daughter through 1/3. We stayed in an apartment on the Ile St Louis for the third time. She’s only 11 but we like to have space to spread out as well as the ability to make coffee, eat at home, do laundry, etc. if we like. I also really enjoy its central proximity to both banks…and walking distance to Boulangerie de la Tour 😂…which is dangerous.
Great video. I thought I was pretty good about navigating Paris, but I always learn something new from you guys. Thanks for the tips! Merci bien!
Another superbe video. Laughing as we travel heavy, meaning 2 large suitcases plus 2 carry-ons (add goodies purchased along way. We sometimes must re-arrange furniture in a small hotel room to fit all of our luggage. 40 years of France travel and we never change habits but we do usually travel for 30 days.
We watched your videos assiduously in San José Costa Rica for months before coming to Paris this week. We were at Le Dome today when we saw you in front of us as a patron ran after you to give you a bag you left behind. Big smiles as we thought "we are actually in Paris just like you!" Fascinating to watch you work with cameras from across the street. God bless you both, you helped make our day! Oh, and thank you for excellent advice and information!!!
😊😊😊
When we visited paris in may this year, your videos were very helpful, visited le petite vendome for lunch, it was superb👌😍 paris is beautiful city with lovely people .
Love this video. One of my anxiety is finding a good safe neighborhood to stay with good restaurant and shoppes. Thank you!
Thanks for keeping it real. 😍 love all your videos! I can tell that you are knowledgeable and travel a lot. God bless you both. 🙏❣🙏
Thank you for this- it’s a great guide to where to stay in Paris but also perhaps where not to stay if you want to feel safe and comfortable. I get the impression that Paris has changed a lot since I last visited some years ago which is a shame but it’s still such a wonderful vibrant place which you manage to show in your vlogs! I’m hoping I can visit soon! 🤞Happy New Year 🥳 🏴💕
Thank you for this video. I will really need this when I visit Paris for the first time.
Absolutely love your videos. So informative and detailed. Thank you both.
Amazing video. You two are doing such a great service with these informative videos. Really enjoyed this one. Thank you. ❤
Thank you so much for the information! I'm going this Spring and your video is helping me SO much!
I just finished a week at the 25Hour Hotel that you feature. Was very happy there as a solo female traveler (who doesn't speak French). Great transportation connections, interesting decor, friendly staff and Terminous Nord right downstairs.
Paris is beautiful. Thanks for sharing😍 this video! Planning to visit one day.
Another absolutely fantastic, informative video. It is so helpful to me as someone who's never been to Paris before. I just subscribed because I must see all of your videos. ❤
Back in 2015 we stayed at the Hotel Du Collectionneur Arc de Triomphe which is very expensive. A beer was about 14 Euro. It was part of a APT tour which we booked back home in Australia. We were there on Bastille day so we were fortunate to see the parade. We had 5 days in Paris before going to Amsterdam to do a river cruise. We loved the areas that we saw including the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and Moulin Rouge. Love your videos. Regards Brian
Our first time to Paris last year and after our River cruise, we stayed at the Latin quarter and interestingly enough we stayed at Hotel Notre Dame. Your first recommendation on this channel. We asked for a room facing the Seine with a view of Notre Dame and we got it.
We stayed in Hotel Louvre Saint Honoré (1er arrondissement) back in September 2022. We loved it. Elevator was the tiniest I’ve ever seen. The Louvre and metro stations within walking distance. Thought it was great pricing considering it’s in such a popular area. We walked to a bunch of places from our hotel and if not took the metro. For Uber it was best to take it close to main roads because Rue Saint Honoré was extremely congested at times. But we had an amazing time in Paris and can’t wait to go back!!
I stay at the Pullman Tour Eiffel every week for work - it has a tremendous location but for many many dollars less there are so many great choices up Grenelle that offer the same vibe without breaking the bank.
I'm loving ur videos for our next coming short holiday's
I love love love you videos. They were very helpful for our 3 day stay in Paris. We also have your 2022 travel guide. I can't wait to come back, hopefully soon. I'm interested in a one month rental. I would love to see you do a video on that topic.
Bravo! Great video, agree with all your sections.
the best guide about Paris we are from Belgium and live in Paris 😍
Thank you so much for this video!! Really helped with hotel choices!!
Les Frenchies, thank you for this valuable video and for your recommendations of places to stay and visit. 🤩🤩
This was perfection ! Thank you
I stayed near Opera at Hotel London. I loved the neighborhood. I left my window open to listen to the music.
We are going on a Viking Cruise/Tour this April. We booked a pre-cruise extension and were surprised that they put us in the Pullman Montparnasse as it wasn't an area I would have picked. I've found that the hotel is very close to a metro stop with 4 lines that directly connect to most of the popular sites in Paris. Your video confirmed what I've learned that it should be fine. Thanks!
Such a useful and informational video. Thank you! Very helpful
Good to see! We typically stay at the Hotel Diana just across from the Sorbonne, excellent location, quiet, safe and inexpensive - the warnings about accessibility and room size are spot on (but, if you are in Paris, what are you doing in the room other than sleeping!!!).
Excellent video!! And 1000 thank you's for being on Facebook too. I see you are on the FB Paris group and answer questions there too. TY TY TY soooo much 💓 💯🎊✨️
Great overview of paris areas!! Thank you!!
Thank you! I’m looking for a hotel For my next trip in September. Very timely☺️
Planning for Paris 2024 and this was so helpful!!
Hello I love and enjoy watching your tour guide clips for sure I will have you as my tour guide in Paris👍😍
You guys are simply awesome another fabulously informative video
I will be scheduling my first trip to Paris in 2024 and your videos are so informational. I will definitely be using your information to plan my vacation. The biggest challenge is deciding where to stay!!
Avoid july and August 2024
Mid November and early December 2022, I stayed at Le Temple De Jeanne, right across the Saint Paul, line 1, metro station in Le Marais for three weeks. I followed the recommendation of Les Frenchies and I was extremely satisfied. The hotel is comfortable and very cute. Kiana & Nicholas, owners and staff are excellent. I got sick for a few days and they took care of me like I was a family member. I highly recommend this hotel. You will love it as I did. I will definitely go back!
Thank you very very much for this video ! I wish I watch this before Traveling to France!
You make Paris very attractive and very simple to visit
Thanks for the video! I was considering staying near Gare de Lyon for my trip next year (I thought it might be convenient for taking the train to other french cities). After watching your video, I think I will book a hotel in the 7th, 3/4th or probably the 14th.
thanks so much for doing the work - really gives me the big picture I wanted to have :)
I just went to paris with my friend for new years, stayed at Hôtel De Castiglione for £341.64. They gave us an incredible room at the top floor with a balcony that had a view of eiffel tower and the whole city. The area was extremely safe with a lot of embassy security around, a great place full of fashion boutiques that were just BEAUTIFULLL. It was also close to notre dam and basically everything! Highly recommend :)
Thank you
Where the best clubs and nightlife?
I have stayed in the 2nd and the 6th before. Both fantastic 👏
Hello, I recently found your channel and love all the information! Just booked my 1st Paris trip and looking forward to it and starting a vlog soon as well.
Thanks and Happy New Year.
Such great information, thanks for making this video.
Hi les frenchies. Paris is a beautiful and large city that attracts people from all over, a sort of meeting place for the world. So many different people and different languages spoken. So many hotels, restaurants, boulangeries shops etc to choose from. I’ve been here over 20 times and you have covered my favorite quartiers if not to stay in, at least to visit while here. I’ve just completed 4 nights in Montmartre and am heading to the latin quarter tomorrow for the rest of my trip. I’m very impressed with how you not only do the research and produce the videos but especially how you make the time to reply to almost all of your followers with comment. I’ve used your guide while here and found it helpful. Everyone should buy a copy. Thank you for doing that. Too many other KZhead’rs don’t. So please accept my gratitude for your efforts. Your faithful follower, Josef.
Where are the best nightclubs?
Being several times to Paris, different places. Going for the third time to the 20th, easy to get there by car, nice hotel, nice people, good food, nit expensive and close to metro and tram. Going with my teenage daughter this time. Looking forward to it
Another super helpful video. My partner and I are looking to book our first Paris trip next year.
@LesFrenchiesTravel Aw thank you. I definitely will 😊
This information is so useful thanks
Bonjour les frenchies. I am dining in Chez Renez now. Danielle says hello and that he is very popular now. This is a couple blocks from my airbnb on Rue Cardinale Lemoine. It is an adorable place. They are offering pot au feu on Thursdays my absolute favorite winter dish. Thank you for this recommendation.
wow; this vid is very helpful. tyvm
Magnifique vidéo culturelle du debut de année nouvelle sur les beaux endroits touristiques de Paris
Another great video! Keep them coming.
I stayed in August in the 17th arrondissement at the Avama Prony Hotel. The neighbourhood was quiet and public transport (Metro, bus and RER) were really close. Also, there were cafes and boulangeries, but a few of them were closed for the holidays. It was my first time in Paris and although I loved the city, I didn’t feel safe most of the time and I didn’t really get to enjoy my time there at the fullest. Perhaps, being August one of the busiest months, there was a lot of people, so the chance to have someone pickpocket you was higher and I was really careful of my surroundings. Hopefully, I will get the chance to come back in a less busier month and enjoy it more. Thank you for the video!
Paris is a ghost town in August, everybody's on vacation.
happy new year~ thanks for the video~~~~~~
In January 2020, I stayed in Grenelle (right at the La Motte-Picquet Grenelle metro), and for me, it was fantastic. Very, very walkable area for what I was going to do, and such easy metro access. The hotel had an elevator and was reasonably priced. Edit: since I see others naming hotels (I wasn't sure if that was cool when I originally posted this comment), the specific hotel was Art Hotel Eiffel - it is budget friendly and not fancy, but it was clean, had a good bed, and included the option of paid breakfast if you wanted.
It's also a nice area
We stayed just down from that same station. We found it quite easy for travel. Nice and quiet neighbourhood!
Great video! Very informative! Thank you
Safety in Paris or anywhere in Europe has never been an issue for us. My best experiences have been in the 20th and outside the Peripique with locals. It’s cheaper and more fun. We were staying in the 20th once way out and discovered Paris has a tram.
I am staying at Hotel Dusquene in October. Can't wait!!
In May we stayed 8 nights at the Hôtel Caron on Rue Caron in les Marais. Quiet short street off Rue Sainte-Antoine and just a short walk to the Saint Paul metro stop. The hotel is very clean and nicely appointed. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was a little bigger than I expected and came with a French balcony and a freshly restocked complimentary mini fridge every day. Just a few steps on the corner was Place Sainte-Catherine with excellent options for meals or late night drinks. Whether walking or metro/bus we found this location to be excellent for easily getting around town. The rate was definitely within our budget. We did not get the daily breakfast for obvious reasons, but the downstairs breakfast room was incredible, all stone walls and arches. I love the vibe of the area and felt at home very quickly. We will definitely stay there again next time we go to Paris.
How was the weather in May? Would much appreciate if you let me know. Thanks!😊
your channel just keeps getting better and excellent content !!!
@@LesFrenchiesTravel I realized some of the people who've commented have actually listened to your tips on their trip to Paris. The videos are not just entertaining but USEFUL.
We loved our place in the 7th - a few blocks from Metro line 8, and only a few more to 8/13. Lovely boulangeries and bistros, a quick walk to a Carrefour, and a great view of the Eiffel Tower! Also, not far from the promenade along the Seine. We walked a ton, but loved all of it!
were did you stay please? All hotels with Eiffel Tower view are so expensive :(
My rlderly Mom and I are going in Nov I would love to look up whete you stayed please
@@melaniemarie1410 We stayed at Hotel le Pavillon. I would caution you, though, that there are a lot of stairs to get to rooms. There is a tiny elevator (one person, and maybe a bag can fit).
This past June, we stayed for 7 nts at the Holiday Inn Express Canal de la Villette in the 20th. I had points to use and needed a room for 3 adults, which is very hard to find. We felt very safe here and there were some great restaurants close by (Paname Brewing and Le Bastringue).
Nice overview! I go to Paris every year (except the pandemic), and will spend a month there this year, always in apartments. I tend to stay near Richelieu, convenient to everything for me. I've stayed in the Marais, too. So, I don't know much about hotels, but friends are always asking for recommendations. I've bookmarked your list. I have many expat friends in Paris, so perhaps we'll stumble across each other some time!
Thank you, this video was very helpful!
Glad you liked it
This is an excellent video. Thank you!
