This part of the mission is currently the bane of my snowrunner playthrough, lost the damn trailer, gonna have to try again tonight
The white star seems to pull that trailer better than the P16. Also I went the long way around it took me around 40 minutes.
Long way? Do you mean you crossed the dam? Isn't that too tight for this trailer? Or which way did you go?

That's why it felt so hard taking the long route with the fleetstar , maybe i was supposed to use a better truck and go down the river 🤣
I never even considered that route over the water. I went the long way. Drama free the entire way but took ages in comparison. Good work on your part 👍🏼

Lost the P16 AND trailer first time. Gonna try the river again tonite. Flipping insane! Spent hours trying to fish the trailer back out. Started over
Its deep in places on that river crossing if you loose the trailer if you decide to go this way i would imagine its difficult to get back out just take you time and choose your path carefully and you will do it 👍
I tried it with the other pacific but tried to go down into the river too early and ended up stuck in the mud :v gotta try that again.

You made that look so easy. I tried the long way first, but tipped the trailer on the mountain bridge that has mud at both ends. So I thought of going across the river because I knew it was passable. I took the same route as you, right next to the geezers house, over his letterboxes. But I think I entered the river a foot or two too far upstream, because the trailer tipped to the left there and I couldn’t recover it. One of my trucks actually floated away. That gave me the idea to float the trailer across, using a winch for propulsion, but the current pushes the trailer too hard against the rocks to allow that. So now I’m back to going the long way. I’m past the dam and the farm, no major obstacles remain, I don’t think. Wish me luck. Congrats on your casually awesome skills. If I tried what you do at the speed you do it, while constantly changing camera angles, I’d have no hope.

@@wobblycaptain I did get there, thanks. And for another mission, I drove some long logs across the river with the P16, just to prove I could do it.
I took the long way aswell, and its Really narrow on several stages of the route. But it went fine. Good luck
It's funny seeing these comments and people needing to start all over again 😂😂 all you need to do is quickly quit the whole game load it up before the game saves and it'll take you back a few mins. Also quiting to the main menu automatically saves
I just found that I am finally at the level where I can get the vehicle you used and add a diffy lock. Good job on not needing the diffy lock to cross the river that I had no idea was possible to cross until now.

Did this with a Kolob 74941 (big 8x8). I checked here first before I tried the short path, just to see if it was technically doable. Managed to get through with no issues, until I climbed a hill after the river to get inside the compound where you deliver the load. Managed to get all 16 wheels on the truck in the air, which meant only the winch could save me. After a few minutes of fiddling, I got over and delivered the load. This was a fun mission. Course, after I was finished, I discovered that my 8x8 Azov had vanished completely. Some kind of bug, and there is no way I can get it back. So I lost quite a bit of money, which sucks since money is finite in the game. Thankfully, my TUZ scout had been duplicated previously due to another kind of bug, so all in all I ended up on the plus side. Fun game, and absolutely life absorbing, but all the bugs are frustrating as hell.

I'm so glad I found your video, Before I even made it through the tunnel I was anticipating and dreading having to take it down long windy road and sure enough and there was no way I was going that route and starting looking at crossing the river as I wouldn't of had the patients to make that long journey. I followed your video to the T and all went smooth. Thanks so much. Though I did make a backup copy of the storage folder just in case it didn't go as planed I'd be able to start over without having to recover.

Thank you 👍 i think that is the quickest way to the drilling site you just have to be careful at the river crossing and maybe a backup vehicle to help you out if you get stuck as i dont think there is any winching points on the river crossing area 😎
@@wobblycaptain I just arrived with the "giant" at the dam, after lunch I will venture across the river, I think I will take my P16 too close, in case I need .
I got stuck, so I smacked a crane on my pacific (the beast) and managed to centipede my way through the waters using two trucks 😂 This one was tough! Restarted 2 times, first one taking the long route, but tipped in a unrecoverable place. Second time dropped it in the water. Third time ALMOST dropped it. P12 and your video really saved my day! Good driving!

Thanks for the vid. I left the game last night sat at the top of the hill trying to decide. Sometimes a shortcut in snowrunner has a nasty way of catching you out, but figured someone must have tried it already. I’m ready to tackle it.

Well I used the same path and got stuck thrice just stepping into the river initially. I used Azov, it's really good the truck you used. Almost done with Michigan. Keep it up.

I went the way you went barely got past the first rocks backed up a couple times pulled forward try to winch it forward and it tipped over then the truck tipped over this was with tayga 6436

I parked a trailer with 2 steal beams next to it. After I dropped off the semi the stupid thing built in between my trailer and now it’s permanately stuck there
Very cool. I think i took the wrong route and I'm gonna have to start over, but we'll see. I chose the long way down the mountain around the switchbacks. LOL. Don't know if I'll make it. I know I'll have to get fuel brought to me.

Are you taking a piss right now, you made that look like a walk in the park. 😱 I didn't even get down to the house without a massive amount of winching along the way. And as you turned straight over the stubs in the ground at the house I thought for sure now the cargo will get stuck on those? But no you sailed thought that too. ⛵ I go stuck had to winch reverse, then winch some more, to even get down to the water. I tried this mission last night and the first place in the water you jokingly said you got stuck and just backed out of it. I was literally stuck for hours, trying winching/craning with several more trucks from either way to get it moving. And as I got it moving, on the very last part before the little island at 7:26 in your video, I took the outer path with my truck there, as the path you took looked like it would get the trailer stuck. I started losing it so I rushed in with two other trucks from either side trying to save it. But I lost two trucks and cargo in the river, as I tried pulling/craning the truck with the cargo. So I lost it all. Which mean I have to start the whole mission over. Are you using a modded truck? I don't recall exactly what truck I used, I think it was the free DLC one and I had the crane on the White Western you have. I'm only lvl 14 yet so i don't have access to all upgrades not have I found all.
I think that truck in the video would of had the best of everything thrown on it fully upgraded 😎 👍

i did it youre way to, everything cool out of the water and fuuuuk, the whole thing collapsed, truck with crane from the garage made the dam trailer glide in to the water, i kept trying pulling and winching for 10 minutes and suddenly woola the trailer stoot on his feet , attached and did full speed the same way, balancing on 2 wheels but it went good but then nooooooo, fuel gone, anyway again truck fro, the garage refuel and delivered it, what a awesome great game it is, and i am not even a truck lover or something like that

I got the trailer stuck on a bad spot attempting to cross the river....i raged quit and return back after 2 months of not playing. I ended up using the Kolob 74760 to pull it out of danger and take it across successfully.
I went that way after watching u do it. I actually made it with some help from the TUZ 420. The trailer bottomed out a few times and needed it to break it loose.
You have to pick your path carefully over that river crossing i didnt find a problem with the trailer bottoming out , unless i tried to take it over a few of the rocks that are slightly raised in the water i tried to avoid those 😁 maybe its a bug

I'm an hour into this. And now half way across. Oh man.... The joys of never doing backups in a game that wasn't meant for them. Time for a beer and to debate my next move I only have 5 gallons of fuel left. Edit: finished now but needed a second truck to pull my non upgraded truck from the river. No awd baby woot!
It gets tougher has you advance this is just the beginning lots more challenges to come after this one ,i have a few trucks scattered around the maps that need recovery and cargo 😁 good luck

Its a pretty good game quite challenging difficult at times dont expect to get anywhere quickly but overall for what its based on extreme trucking its quite good much better than mudrunner
Agreed...i loved mudrunner but this has been an excellent game so far. I am still amazed at how much content there is.

Tried to take that route today. Sunk my truck :)) then spent ages to pull the trailer out. Ages again to go up that steep hill. And yeah. I’ve taken the long route also. 4 hours wasted 😔
Think it took me 15 minutes 🤣 And this is the easy stages welcome to SnowRunner expect it to get even more difficult from now on and many more hours wasted 👍

I know the new trucks are better, but I love the way the old ones look, tough, like a truck should.
Agree i enjoy driving some of the older trucks in games nice to drive something different in a game 👍 trucks that a built for all terrain work with tough looks and little chrome 😁

I made the mistake of taking it all the way over the dam and through farm. How many attempts u make?

@@ciggynz I scouted it out first and the river crossing route seemed the easiest and also the shortest
@@wobblycaptain well I eventually made it after 2-3hrs of madness but would definitely recommend doing it your way
@@ciggynz I think I know the way you went it seems most logical to do it that way a tip is look at the ground terrain and see if you can see any tracks going in directions that look as through you cant go that way best scout it out sometimes if you don't know the maps well saves some time

Make sure you have the right saddle on there is a high or low saddles available

Take a look through the comments and see what truck people are using , also dont rush to do this mission if you have not got decent upgrades on your vehicle do the easier ones first if you havent already to get the upgrades ect for vehicles and choose your route carefully there are other route options you dont have to go that way and take it slow and steady over uneven ground else you run the risk of tipping the trailer good luck 👍
guess it's not the truck that's the problem then, it's just that I'm an idiot. I tried to go down onto the river way too early and managed to get my Azov stuck in the mud :v
The truck i used would of had a few upgrades including mud tires or all terrain if you still have road tires on its going be difficult , have fun and good luck driver 👍
I was wondering how you were going to cross the dam. Okay, there is no way that my Cat CT681 can do that in its current state. I was going to take the super long route across the outer edges of the map, but I don't think I can make it going that route either. Sweet video, but there is no way that I will be able to make it going this route. I will try though! Wish me luck!
