While not quite as quick as its AMG GLB35 counterpart, the EQB350 delivers a satisfying blend of instant torque and composed handling, making it an engaging and capable daily driver.
Range and Charging: Practical but Limited
One of the potential drawbacks of the EQB is its relatively modest range compared to some competitors. The EQB350 is estimated to offer 227 miles of range per charge, while the EQB300 and EQB250+ boast slightly better figures of 243 and 250 miles, respectively. While these numbers should suffice for most urban commuters, longer road trips may require more frequent charging stops. On the plus side, the EQB supports DC fast charging, allowing it to replenish from 10% to 80% in as little as 30 minutes.
Verdict: A Sensible Choice for Luxury EV Buyers
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB may not be the most exciting or groundbreaking electric vehicle on the market, but that's precisely its appeal. By retaining the familiar styling and practical attributes of the GLB, while adding an all-electric powertrain, Mercedes-Benz has created a compelling option for buyers seeking a luxury EV without compromising on functionality or brand cachet.
