Petition to bring back "Captures Captures" and "Castles Castles." I have noticed Agad isn't using these phrases lately!
I suppose it's because some people only listen, and saying "captures, captures" isn't all that descriptive. I know I certainly listen to the first 10-15 moves sometimes, and then I have to look at my phone bc I cant visualize it anymore lol

Wow, I can't remember a candidates that was so close to the wire. Any of the top 4 can win it.
The time control used in this tournament should be used in all classical events. No increment before move 40! Probably not good for the players nerves. But it's made decisive results so common and the tournament exciting!

This is going to be a wild finish to the candidates. Gukesh is up against a reeling Firouja but Hikaru has won four of his last five. Wild times.

Just interesting there might be a need for Tie Break at the conclusion of the candidates if a tie of two players it would result in two Rapid Games at 15 minutes ten second increments from move one if more than two players end in tie it would consist of a single round Robin will be played which could be a possibility but i think because a few of the leaders will be going head to head against each other I think we will get an outright winner

This whole match was Fabi just giving Vidit enough rope to hang himself with, over and over, till Vidit did, then Fabi just gave that last lil' push.
Maybe Vidit put up a good fight until around move 38-40 but, then again, perhaps Fabiano was just playing with his food. Hard to say because Caruana doesn’t usually go for the kill like other elite players.
I wish it was literally true.
