    • Not entirely true. I had a Belgian Malinois, and he was treated very well. Would protect me with his life. But, I witnessed him killing baby rabbits, despite screaming for him to come back, attacked a cat once, pigeons and even though I'd be upset with him for days, and he knew, even had a look of guilt and would want to avoid the carcass afterwards, I could not control its prey drive. My dog might simply tear this puppy to shreds. Its in its DNA.

    • @@roderickthered4981 bruh my sisters Rottweiler did the same. He'd kill rabbits, baby rabbits, birds, and neighborhood cats who got too close. Thats just a big dog thing, alot of them were used for hunting dogs. So like I said this dogs killed rabbits and cats, and then my dumbass decided to get a kitten. Hilarious enough he adjusted well, but the other dog (boxer great dane mix) got bullied by the cat when she was a kitten. The rottie doesn't borther the cat the cat doesnt bother him. I even caught them snuggling. You gotta introduce them slowly calming. Also puppies are your safest bet. Dogs arent goldfish they wont canablize or kill their young. @MichaelJP@MichaelJP Жыл бұрын
    • @@MichaelJP it is stupid to outlaw it. Many of them get tails docked for health concerns for the dog itself. They are a massive breed with very high energy and the long tail can easily put them in compromising positions, especially in cases of home defense which they are great for, or working land which is what they are breed for. While I do like seeing them with tails it makes complete sense for most to want them docked.

But there are also LOTS of zoos where animals are kept in very small and inadequate environments and they are kept solely for the profit of the zoo owners. I've seen too many videos and images of animals in zoos kept in tiny inadequate concrete enclosures and they look miserable. Zoos like that should be illegal.

  • I love Rotties. I've had 4 myself over the years and they are such great dogs. They know their strength and capabilities and will be very gentle with puppies and small breed dogs as well. They are also great with babies and small children. They are tough dogs and don't get hurt very easily, so if a baby or small child pulls their ears or slaps them, it doesn't hurt them plus they acknowledge that these small humans mean them no harm and like a puppy. They are very gentle and even protective over a baby or toddler. I'd take my Rotts to dog parks often and some people would be afraid that they would hurt their puppy, but I assured them not to worry. They would love to play with the puppies and act just like one themselves. Like I said; they know their strength and power and are very gentle with puppies. They would even submit to the puppies by running from them and then lying down when the puppy was playing and biting them. There's something calming about Rottweilers that puppies pick up on. They sense that they're safe to be around them and try to engage them in playing with them.

  • All my Rottie's we're like this when we brought a new "family" member home. Our last was a Blue Pittie, rescued from a fighting situation. (They were dumping her at the pound because she wouldn't fight) We just happen to be walking in to look for our next rescue & we took her right then & there in the parking lot. She was only 12 weeks old, full of scars & her ears were poorly cut w/rusty scissors, almost down to her head😭 Got her home & my Rottie somehow knew he needed to go slow w/her. Within 2 days, she was jumping on him, bringing him toys & running around the yard. They're favorite pastime is tug of war😆 She is now a healthy happy 5 yr old. We also have 2 other dogs & 2 cats. She just adores the kitties, despite all she had been through ❤️🐾

My parents never planned on having rotties btw, one just followed my mom home one day and she was like “well guess we have a second dog now.” They we’re practically second mothers to my brother and I. They’d come check on us constantly and would follow us around the house and let us lean on them for support when we were learning to walk. Our current rottie is my boy. He is so good with kids. He’s normally very rambunctious but he’s like hyper aware of himself when he’s around small children, he makes sure not to knock someone over. He’ll find the nervous ones and just sit on their foot and lean against them. He’s the sweetest boy.
