Davina McCall has hit out at cancel culture, saying it is ‘weird’ and ‘unforgiving’ to punish celebrities for views they held in the past. She told Rylan Clarke’s Ry-Union podcast that people should be allowed to change their mind. "Sometimes people could have been racist or homophobic ten years ago, 12 years ago and they might have met somebody along the way who has made them see the light and they are so ashamed about the way they used to feel and then they get hauled over the coals and they apologise and yet that apology is not enough, they are still branded homophobic or racist.’ So is she right? Is sorry enough?

The fact that Ben is able to pronounce Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu’s name perfectly shows that someone did their homework and someone quite clearly did not. Embarrassing - loved the way that Ben ensured he said it perfectly again at the end not only as a sign of respect, but to also show Kate Garraway that it’s quite simple to pronounce if you do your due diligence beforehand: protect, respect and remedy.
I wonder if the good "doctor" could pronounce a Georgian name with no preparation cause you know it's apparently so racist to mispronounce a name from a completely different language.
I'm just looking at Dr. Shola compared to EVERYONE else and she makes everyone look incredibly inattractive.
