Jonathan Ferguson, a weapons expert and Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries, breaks down the insane weaponry of Battlefield 4, including the FN F2000 rifle, the UTS 15 shotgun, and the Chinese QBB Type-95 automatic rifle.
In the latest video in the Firearm Expert Reacts series, Jonathan Ferguson--a weapons expert and Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries--breaks down the guns of Battlefield 4, and compares them to their real-life counterparts.

The Large Hadron Collider has an infamous story of how the CERN scientists were asked if the discovery of the Higgs Boson "God Particle" would determine if God exists. Clearly the theory being tested had absolutely nothing to do with theology but they lied and said it did in order to ensure funding and interest. Its very similar to how global warming is propagated despite having zero scientific credibility and all predictions having been disproven over a course of over a century, and yet even people who aren't in the field of chemistry or meteorological science come out and propagate it simply because their universities pressure them to do so in order to maintain funding by governments. After all, no one cares about solubility of organic salts, but if you say it could mean the difference between survival or THE APOCALPSE, then you get the attention and priority of your government. It's just like the fountain of youth or alchemy, a lie propagated for the greater good. Supposedly.

    • @@mijisthebest If you are under 30 years old then you probably don't know about all the claims they made that never came to be. Tony Heller here on youtube has an excellent array of videos with all the sources you will need. He also goes back to decades of statistics to analyze exactly where the claims originated and when they stopped being accurate. The most obvious lie is the ozone hole. Any chemist knows that ozone is formulated by diatomic oxygen bonding together into ozone. The activation energy is obtained by UV ray exposure. Naturally this means if less ozone is in the atmosphere, more UV ray is emitted which leads to more ozone production. This is directly contradictory to the claim that carbon based gases create a permanent hole in the atmosphere which has never been seen, even with modern satellite imaging technology. Satellite imaging also debunked global warming. Note we call it climate change now because global warming was disproven as the world is not constantly heating, but heating and cooling in cycles, currently we are on a cooling phase.

It's just sad that it's aging and casual players drop it for newer titles thinking newer = better. 2013, we haven't had that inital experience for 8 years. We got a ton of "small" stuff fixed like reload timings and save points, or the default paint on the AK-12/ACE families and similar removed, but also bigger stuff like changing the calibres (JS2 from 5.8mm / 50 rounds to 9mm / 30 rounds comes to mind) or mag capacities (QBB-95 to 75 rounds like we see in this video, 93R to 15, U-100 to 30, CS/LR4 to 5, etc), and even getting a couple of them renamed (which has to go through Legal). This is why the "RPK-74M" and "L96A1" were corrected to "RPK" and "L115", respectively, with the matching calibre and mag size fixes. :)

Namely, concerns of weight and the magazines. But it performed very well by all accounts and was only denied full production due to a single misfire incident combined with an unfortunately timed budget cut. I expect to see similar weapons pop up in the not too distant future. They’ve been toyed with for a long time, but the XM-25 proved that they are actually very viable and useful in the field.

That's all due to the extra gasket that is around the magazine to help seal the system from debris, water, dust, whatever. Makes magazines quite snug to get in, extra force to pull out is needed also. The gasket can be removed, however, which some people do because otherwise it may interfere with use of some aftermarket magazines. the standard aluminium STANAG mags work great though.
