we have 3 of them in Germany
I'm 64, and I've had Dachshunds all my life..had my first when l was 2 yrs old..Fritz was his name.. obviously why😂.. so I've had lots of lil daxies..a lot of people say about their back issues but none of mine had any problems..obviously you need to be careful ..giving them ladders ir steps rather than making them jump..but it more common sense than anything.. they're fiercely loyal. Full of life and extremely funny characters..the one herding sheep 🐑 worked because they are a hound..a working dog initially..Dachshund means Badgerhound in German where they were used to send into the badgers sett to flush them out..that is obviously not allowed now..but don't be thinking because they have short legs they don't need excercise..they definitely need excercise and stimulation..leaving them in the house with nothing to do with just excess energy can lead to them becoming destructive..unfortunately as my mobility issues are so bad l can no longer have a dog as just couldn't walk it..thats no life for any dog..l miss them so much..always had dogs and cats together and its never been a problem they always got on with each other..lost my last cat to heart disease last Sept..its very quiet without a pet..the first time since my late 20's that I've not had any pets..although l do have a lodger !.. a cat that comes in to eat and sleep mainly from Monday to Friday sometimes at weekends because he is put out when they go to work in the morning until they get home from work .which means he has no access to food water or shelter no matter what the weather..l have a catflap hence he comes to me..we all know cats are grazers..they don't eat at set mealtimes like dogs do..so he has put on weight..for the size of him ge was quite skinny..his owners must realise he is eating elsewhere but obviously just not bothered..l don't know who his owners are..l don't think they are very hands on with him either as he is pretty shy even after coming in for over a yr now..
The one with the balloon🎈is just too funny..& the mattress "🏄 surfing"..and the classic shower 🚿 This just melts my ♥ heart...& the classic "side eyes" 👀
🐶🐾🏅🏆dachshunds are so cute and funny, they are also loyal friends and very clever. Ijust ❤ them!!! Dachshund the best breed for me. I've two mini ones= VELVET is black and tan, 4⃣ years 9⃣ months old, and SASHA is chocolate and tan 3 months old puppy. ADRIANA, VELVET AND SASHA FROM ARGENTINA 🇦🇷 ❤.
