    • @@FransjeGimbrere Hmm..to be completely honest Japan is far behind on their "substitute" game for allergies and intolerances. My first recommendation would be to definitely prepare a list of your allergies in Japanese. This will help immensely since most people here don't speak English and if you have a list that says allergies that should help. If you are buying foods at convenience stores many times there will be a space where they list each of the 28 most common allergies that are inside the product. (This will be in Japanese as well but Google Translate has upped it's game the last few years so I recommend using it). As for actual food recommendations, it is quite hard since most foods here use soy products for seasoning broth etc. Soba is one delicious option, but the broth is something you would have to ask about and the noodles sometimes have egg whites in them. Lastly, if you're visiting the big cities, like Tokyo or Osaka, I recommend searching for "health" restaurants or cafes. It sounds weird wording it that way but many "healthy" cafes are starting to become popular and are more transparent about what's in the food. If you search for gluten-free cafes in Tokyo several should come up. Just remember that if your allergy is severe to always err on the side of caution in Japan since in many local restaurants even the chef might not be conscious of the fact that soy sauce has gluten or that their broth has mushroom extract etc. Not sure if any of this helped but I hope you can enjoy your time in Japan and eat some delicious food!

  • these days I have been so stressed because of some complicated problems. Sometimes I wonder why I always start my journey earliest, but I'm always the last person to finish the journey. I tried to expose my problem but couldn't find any meaningful advice until I found u. Linda, I have to admit that by watching only this video of yours can help me solve my difficulties. Right now my sorrow has disappeared and I feel delighted. Thanks for sharing in this video "Everyone is in their own time zone..". U literally make my day

  • just when my life is falling apart- you’re here to remind me that IT’S OKAY and that (it’s also not really falling apart, just changing in ways i’m new to)❤️❤️ haven’t even started the video yet but i’m so full of your energy already. love you & mama sun!!! after watching: i got Pho last night for dinner and now i’m craving these hand pulled noodles i found at one restaurant near me.. something about the right blend of spices, a rich and silky broth and the perfect noodles always hits the right note. regardless of where you’re from, or where you’re eating, we all need a lil of that warmth.

  • 11:56 This mindset inspired me to travel more this year. I only traveled to Colorado and Oregon which I’d never been, but at least I traveled. I also went to Santa Barbara on a day trip a few weeks ago. Even if you can only travel to nearby states and cities at least it’s traveling and you’ll see new stuff!
