  • in 1985 i was an afghan coat wearing hippie , the battle of the beanfield happened and i was totally disillusioned. then a punk friend played me this album, it helped completely change my way of thinking ,.this band then kept me sane through all the shit of the 80's 90's . best british punk band imho !

A aging model !… Anyway I have hundreds k7s from the 80s - all play well ! The cassettes were meant to last further than thought ! Have courage+ it is possible to rec. From tel. But not on stereo … but Who cares about "clean" sound ? Punk is 80s not 60s ! : Never trust a hippie !

    • That's what I love about listening to punk. Most of what I listen to has no commercials, because KZhead pretty much already knows punks aren't buying into their b.s. so they don't even bother advertising to us haha

  • The only album I had from them was Day The Country Died right when it came out in the 80s and it’s a masterpiece for me. Everyone raves about Worlds Apart so I feel like I need to give it a few listens to sink in.

  • Lucky to be 46 and bought this on original press vinyl in early 86 not long after they split for the first time. This was much better than their Day The Country Died times. I still have the LP. Along with so many other 80s punk. Plasmatics, Exploited,Peter & the Test Tube Babies,Abrasive Wheels,Anti Nowhere League. My best piece is The Incredible Shrinking Dickies on yellow vinyl limited press. This album moved me onto more thrashy stuff like Anthrax and Dark Angel as the punk era died. I remember these times fondly as a young,bleached jeans,Doc Mart wearing, red mohawk little bastard tearaway spray painting my tag everywhere.Long live punk.Never let it die.

  • What an album. Made up of various types of pop and rock, but totally avant garde. Just as pertinent as ever, but now clearly the authoritarianism is coming from a coalition of corporatism and Left Statism.

    • DK had a few moments that were musically and lyrically interesting, then petered out. But the SH just kept making incredible songs.

      @mileshall9235@mileshall92352 жыл бұрын
    • dk's fucking kill it, are you crazy? plus the literally dozens of things jello has done solo or with others. subhumans are amazing as well but where did the dk hate pop up from anyhow? and comparisons are silly- hugely different aesthetic sound everything but anarchic spirit and timing. and the timing doesn't really fit either so ...also the dozen badass punk albums you made are where? hmm.
