Our neighbors daughters name is Claire and boy oh boy she's a handful her moms always telling us how she's very independent and does things when she wants to and how she wants to! Lol! Your little girl is a big bundle of joy and cuteness! Thanks for sharing your giving me a huge throwback Ashley! Ha ha! My daughter will be 15 this summer she's our youngest!😭(time flys so quickly!) enjoy all of those moments you have with her, I stay at home and I still feel as if I didn't get enough time with my children(now teenagers/young adults) oh well, she's so cute! TFS Ashley! ❤

Who in the world told you it was ok not to feed a newborn??? OMG do you realize the risk you took with low blood sugar which is a problem even for feeding newborns?? The colostrum you initially have prior to your milk coming in is what the baby needs!!! It has a tremendous amount of nutrients even in the small volume you are producing...... I'm assuming your baby did fine overall but PLEASE LEARN for your next baby. This is rediculous. And yes, what do I know???? I've been a pediatric nurse for 27 years...... Kitten's Mom.

There are some newborns that genuinely are adorable my first was like this he had people stunned at how cute he was round cheeks really big pale eyes tuft of dark hair like a doll

I'm confused. They let you leave the hospital before you showed she could feed and therefore continue to gain weight after you went home?? I would cry like that too, I'd be so weak. I live in a country, thank God, that makes sure you can feed, clean and change n dress your baby prior to leaving the hospital. I can't imagine a hospital that would let you leave before your milk came, or at least put the baby on formula till your milk came. That's fuct up. Anyways, glad the babys alive. Be safe n maybe read lots of good 'baby care' books.

Hey MaryLouise :) You have a lovely name! Mary is an absolute favorite and Louise was on our list for Claire :) The recovery has been rough but I'm feeling better now. You'll see in an upcoming video that I don't look so good. I haven't shared this yet publicly but I ended up with a broken tailbone so the recovery has been slower than I expected. Thank you for asking! :)

People commenting hearing obviously know nothing about breastfeeding 🤦🏻♀️ it takes a couple of days for milk supply to come in! It’s normal! Babies do lose weight in the first few days! Also normal!! Maybe educate yourselves before you comment!

Lenore Kerl it's really a sickness. This poor kid was made to go hungry because the mom is so needy she can't stand the thought of not being needed. The real shocker is her husband went along with this.

The hospital didn't give you formula to eat until your milk came in? I thought a baby couldn't leave the hospital until they are and pooped. Not judging just curious. Your baby is an angel
Hi guys, thanks for the sweet reply. I have to tell you that during my fifth pregnancy near the very end of it I had a terrible cold and coughed a lot, so much that I broke a rib. Not fun, but, labor was still fine, kind of forgot about the pain of the rib during that, so anyways, I totally sympathize with you. The tailbone cannot be fun though!!!! Have a good one, guys (and baby Claire) 🙂

She's perfect Ashely and Kevin! When was she born? That cry really was sad but I'm happy you waited for your milk to come in! Weight loss in the first week is expected, happy she gained it back!! Those cheeks!!! I can't tell who she looks like! I am thinking Ashley! Congratulations again you two!!!
U think it was good the baby waited 24 hours??? Ok so in my case for ex I never ever produced milk ,never while pregnant and certainly after my baby was born nit one drop, it dried completely the few drops I had immediately dried, what you would have done in my case? Or mothers like me who don't produce milk??
Cristina .Filipe I don't understand this thinking either. Are people really that much of control freaks they make their baby lose almost a pound just so the baby is completely dependent on the so called mom? What is their logic on this? Do they think a bottle or two of formula is going to hurt? This is about moms neediness. She's one of those that will be breast feeding until 8 years old because she needs the bonding. Yes you can give a newborn a pacifier wtf are you talking about? You probably don’t need to because they’re on your boob 24 hours a day but you can give them one.
