This is what it looks and sounds like when u have to hold the fort and your comrades depend on that one decision that u make that will change the course of the battle and then you decide and suddenly you think of your childhood, your loving mother, sisters and love ones. This is one my favorite of her street performances... the long flowing dress, with her ballerina spins and her flowing hair gives an awesome effect to this very romantic melody... "The Gael". Karolina's sweet, innocent smile with her graceful moves... shows that she's actually feeling and expressing the mood of this song.. At this point, there's 3.4M views and probably about 2K of those are mine. 🙂

I have always found the music of the movie "The last of the Mohicans" enchanting. She takes this one step further. As someone else here said; she makes her violin sing... Indescribably beautiful!

Karolina is great but you should also check out Jenny O'Connor. She did a very good rendition of this son a few years ago. Unlike Karolina she learned to play as an adult.
Dougie has another great tune...the "osprey".
This music will always make me remember Hawkeye charging into the ranks, firing his muskets to rescue his love.

This film brings tears everytime, it is by far one of the greatest films ever created. The actors, the writers,, the directors, and especially the editors who with precision detail pieced it all together. A masterpiece that will be remembered by so many for decades.
My favorite movie of all time. The acting, story, cinematography, and music are just unbelievable. You're right it is a masterpiece.
The musical score was so moving. This song in particular - haunting, pleading - almost always makes me cry.
Definitely deserves another rewatch, haven't done it in years.

Well it's actually Galic, it's called the Gail by Dougie McLean who is Scottish, refuring to the west of Scotland Clans who spoke Galic., he wrote it in the eighties, and it was used for the film last of the Mochians, if you watch the film when they play this peice of music it has bagpipes.

Well if you actually read the book. They were a made up Indian tribe that wore a turtle tattoo that made them the last kings of all Indian tribes..... there is a Mohican tribe but that’s not who these particular Indians in the story are supposed to be they are Delaware Indians that’s why he says he’s looking for a Delaware speaking woman.....
