Japanese Breakfast singer Michelle Zauner shares what it was like in the bathroom at the GRAMMYs when Doja Cat was chaotically rushed out to accept her award. Michelle also dishes on her New York Times bestselling memoir "Crying in H Mart," working through the grief of her mother's passing by cooking Korean dishes, and the origin of her new song "Be Sweet."

  • She said “unpopular band” and I laughed because I still listen to and love Little Big League and have the 2013 tour poster on my band room wall. 😂

  • Only a 4 minute interview? I'll bet they wished they had given her 20 now that she is exploding all over the scene. Japanese Breakfast music is unique compelling and "Rad" (as we used to say) and Michelle's beautiful and kind personality takes it over the top. I'm ordering her book and am looking forward to discovering a new author as well as a creative performer for myself.

  • This interviewing is hard to watch. So uncomfortable & just... empty.... ask some interesting questions.. try knowing the first thing about your guest... or at least don't talk over them. Was so excited to click this and came away really disappointed.

    • @@gerardosantana4505 pretty and cute are two different things. Asian women get called “cute” because they’re seen as childlike. It’s demeaning.
