The fact that shockwave actually has a Map outside the bounds that exists with hitboxes is impressive.
How people make this stuff I’ll never know I can’t even add a model in unity.

The thing I love most about Toilet Paper Hoarder, is how the amazing background still doesn't overshadow the elements in front of it.

Shockwave reminds me a lot on how old Software Rendered games were presented, with it being 2.5d rather than true 3D
Seeing how shockwave was made from scratch and was implemented into another website shows how much scratch is approving
I used to watch your videos about a year or 2 ago when your voice wasn't near as deep as mine. Now, watching this, it is crazy to hear how much it has changed. I love your vids and they help a ton!

Such amazing games created on such a simple platform.... scratch- starting from scratch, the name tells everything
I haven't been active on scratch for a while but here are some of my favorites: Witch, a mini metroidvania that's been made bigger outside of scratch. NOT that DEAD, very well done RPG. Hexplore, an interactive exploration game. Run & Jump, very fun platformer. Twisty Tower, a rage game that I've spent many hours speedrunning.
I use to program alot with this as a kid and its insane to see the amount of detail and evolution it has had over the past few years... ]

I am actually impressed with these people and they did this with BLOCK code which is what scratch uses if I remember correctly. Edit: just so you all know I have very little knowledge on how to code from when I actually used scratch.
Yeah it's insanely cool... also yup Scratch uses drag and drop block coding.
Whether it's drag and drop blocks or text has really not much to do with it. The big limitations of scratch are language features and performance, or rather extreme lack thereof.
Briefly, Scratch has read-only strings, no native implementation of bitwise operations, no local variables, void type user-defined functions only, and no inbuilt way to declare a struct with easily accessible data, as well as a list limit of 200,000 items.
I couldn’t make a game like that in unity and this guy makes it in scratch 😂
barely a minute in and is already trying to break the game. came here for motivation on my own Scratch project and now i'm hooked

I know a game, not sure when it was made, but it’s like this pirate ship game and you go around and do quests and fight other ships to get coins and upgrade your ship or buy more cannonballs. It’s pretty cool.
