Hey guys! This week I revisit one of my first projects up at Cerro Gordo - the original bunkhouse. The building was built in 1913 and is home to many ghost stories up here, including my one and only ghost story.
Thank you all so much for the support and following along with this town!

    • I'm certain you can get the Skoolie community to help you. By working side by side with you or just help clean up areas. I know that many Skoolie owners built their own interiors and did major work from Welding, Carpentry, Plumbing, and creating their own Solar Power setups. If you wanted to, maybe a Trade school in the area would be interested in furthering their students learning experience, by utilizing the program they are in, on your property. and maybe the school would pay you to allowing these students to work in real world experience. Just a thought.

      @markwestervelt9708@markwestervelt97083 жыл бұрын
    • @@markwestervelt9708 everything you just said is incorrect! The demons and the Lost Souls are the entities or energies that are part of what's called The Haunting. They are in a different dimension than we are. There are 10 dimensions that we have mathematically proven and all are in existence at the same time. That does not mean that each entity can go from one dimension to the other as it's supposed to be because there's a fault in the system. When you use the term spirit that just means an energy that can live within a certain dimension. There are spirits that live within the five dimensions of this universe in which Earth currently hangs in space in our solar system. But there are spirits who never come to this dimension. There are spirits which are holy and of good things and then there are spirits which are demonic and dark and evil and are of bad things. Energy by itself must have a positive charge or a negative charge at one time or another. You're so worried about what is said in the 20th century in on a movie or a TV that you are neglecting all of the data that came before 17th century human!

If there is a presence, they will feel it, and if that presence is strong enough, they may even catch a glimpse of it. And no, I am not ranking about paid mystics or Hollywood charlatans, folks truly sensitive often don't charge, and feel such sensitivity is more of a curse than a blessing.

If you only knew the evil that lurked around you would be running to God so you won’t ever see Hell and be tormented by those things.. sadly modern day false doctrine “Christianity” says you can just say a prayer to Jesus and now you are saved and born again but that’s not what the word of God says... you must repent, be baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins and then seek God for the Holy Spirit... on the day He baptizes you with the Holy Spirit you will KNOW you are His and your whole life will change for the good. That will be the best day of your life and now you will look at celebrities and people who are rich monetarily and know they are poor and you are the one who is rich... not by your means but by becoming a child of God!! It's not as complete as Cerro Gordo but equally rich in history. A friend owns property about an hour away and we go up there 3 or 4 times a year it's just awesome, the more you look around the more you find. The hard work the early pioneers went through to establish this place is just mind blowing. We don't what hard work is. There isnt much about it on you tube but google or wikipedia should give you plenty of info about it. Don't forget. if you ever come to Australia look me up, I'd love to take you there. You'll relate to it on so many levels. Keep the great videos coming, love your work.

  • Hi Brent, first let me say that I've become addicted to your channel and look forward to each new episode. You ask what I like best. I'd have to say your positive attitude about everything. I like seeing progress on your projects, exploring mines and their technology. I love history and Cerro Gordo's time is one of my favorites. You make me feel like I'm sharing your adventure with you. Now here's a little story of my own. I live in a 1914, craftsman style, California bungalow. I'm watching the latest video of you fixing up the bunk house and there on the ceiling hangs a light fixture and it looks much like the light fixture that hangs in my dining room. There's nothing else like it in my house, so I assumed some previous owner had put it up. Now that I see the fixture in your 1913 bunk house is the same style that in my 1914 bungalow I can say that they are both of the same era, it's original to the house and it was probably a popular style at the time. I loved your comments about finally feeling like yourself, I had a similar feeling when I retired. I had a meaningful career as a landscape architect, but could now do things in my own way and on my own time. It's great. I would love to come up to Cerro Gordo, spend a few days and help with one of your projects. I'm trying to get a group of us together for the trip, one of the guys is a general contractor and another is a carpenter with a degree in historic preservation. Are you interested? Also I know a gal that you should get in contact with. Her name is Elly Ringo, AKA Elly Kat and has a Facebook/Instagram name of Elly Knows Rocks. She's a hydrologic, economic, geologist and works at a copper mine in Arizona. Her hobby is looking for and exploring old mine shafts. She's also a fine looking women who does modeling, nude modeling, on the side. That's how I came to know her. She told me that she had written you about paying you a visit, but never heard back.

  • Dude... 4:25 talking about being a maker and passing that down to newer generations... that hit me and resonated outta the blue. "Whatever you want to make, we can make anything in the world." Can't think of a more amazing thing to hear from a parent or grandparent... what a gift of time and effort. Made this 47 year old dad a bit teary. My dad only passed down so much due to his alcoholism taking up his time before passing when I was 19 from his own self destruction. Whatever that did to me, whatever got instilled, I try to show my kids whatever I can and work with them to build stuff whenever asked... I am a builder and handyman to the best of my ability. Whatever they soak up, I'm grateful to share and it's time well spent. Thanks for sharing this story about your grandpa. -- a happy viewer

  • Hi 🙋‍♀️ I love watching your progress. My gf teases me about how I drool over your ghost town and how I wish I had my own ghost town to renovate. And it’s true :) I love how much you enjoy bringing that ghost town back to life and preserving it’s history is the most important thing to you. I feel that so much ! I’m currently going to school for Architecture (nowhere fancy) I absolutely am in love with old historical buildings from the early 1900’s and feel it’s so important to preserve and restore them. They just don’t build them like they used anymore and it’s a shame. I guess I’m an old soul I’m currently 28 and it’s hard for other people my age to understand. I also love how you taught yourself along the way how to do things on your own with no guidance, as a female with no father figure I too have learned to do a lot of things on my own that normally I guess some people would say it’s men’s work but that’s total BS. Anyways keep up the badass work! I drive to Bishop pretty often to visit my brother and aunt I’m actually heading out there tomorrow early morning by sunrise I should be hitting Lone Pine, I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to see it dumping snow up there from the hwy. One little thing I want to recommend ☝️ that wall tapestry you got hanging in the blue room I’d move it over to the other wall above the headboard so that way the light from the window shines on it so when someone walks in and it’ll be like Bam! *badass tapestry* ❤️👌🏽
