  • In my opinion I feel that when someone is in a haunted place and their energy is drained I feel as though the energy around them is too much for them. Generally this happens to everyone(some sooner than most), even professionals have this problem. It's as if your own energy cannot keep up with your surroundings making the whole ordeal exhausting. (this is not a professional opinion just a theory)

    • Ik what u mean! When I’m in antique stores, I feel this weird rush of energy in my head and it’s almost like the air around my head is warm and fuzzy and I feel almost like what would be a headache. There are some objects that when I approach I feel sick to my stomach and my temples feel pressure. Usually if that happens I don’t even touch it. A lot of kids objects like toys or games or clothes, I tend to get either a sense of wonder or feel sadness without trying to. But as soon as I leave the antique store, that pressure and fuzziness around my head goes away and I feel re-energized.

    • @@priscillaguzman5786 oh jeez, I hadn't even thought about the possibility of all the random antique items I own having those kinds of effects. I've lived in houses that felt creepy but I never thought about the items I take with me. I've managed to score some amazing, very old items (like the 200-ish year old wooden trunk that is stamped LONDON TO MELBOURNE - I'm in Australia - that is in amazing condition, we call it the treasure chest) that the former owners were happy to sell to me for a ridiculously cheap price. Now I'm wondering WHY they were okay with a quick, cheap sale for something that was worth 10 times more 😳 Now you've got me second guessing my oddities collection too... everything from very early kewpie dolls to crow skulls, toad skeletons and bird hearts. I also collect random old weird Catholic ephemera- I'm not at all religious, I just find it fascinating and morbid. I keep a bunch of "Jesuses" in my bathroom on shelves next to the toilet. There's a framed antique picture of Mary and Jesus that always ends up face down apparently on it's own, and a crucifix that always seems to turn around to face the wall. Aaaaaahhhhh what have I done 😂 Have I turned my house into a cursed, haunted museum?

    @eunieberry@eunieberry2 жыл бұрын
    • This is going to make me sound crazy, and if I heard anyone else say it, I'd probably think they were mistaken or exaggerating. I swear to god I pulled the batteries out of my son's Fisher Price ride-on bus (it had little people on the front that would light up and spin around flashing red and blue lights while playing songs while the headlights would flash red or blue) because it kept on going off in the middle of the night - ONLY when I was the only one awake, due to my insomnia - and scaring the crap out of me. The night after I'd yanked it's batteries (which involves opening the battery hatch with a screwdriver, removing the batteries, then screwing it tightly closed, which I'm 100% sure I did) I was sitting in the dark on my own in the loungeroom playing on my phone, as I had a habit of doing when I couldn't sleep, so I wasn't disruptive to my sons who also slept in the same room at the time, as it was a tiny place with one huge bedroom. THE FREAKING BUS STARTED GOING OFF IN THE KITCHEN, I shit you not. I took that damn bus and yeeted it out into my courtyard and locked the door on it. I put that stupid thing out on the curb the next day😂 That was not the only Fisher Price toy that went off randomly in the night when I was up on my own in that house, but it is the only one that went off with no batteries in it. It was so eerie, just sitting there on it's own in the dark kitchen, the little plastic people rotating slowly in the blinking red light to the tune of "It's a Small World", with me clearly remembering removing the batteries around 24 hours previously. I should add that none of those kinds of Fisher Price toys are designed to activate spontaneously - they're designed to be interactive and require big buttons to be pressed on them. I'm familiar with the Fisher Price puppy toy that said "hug me" in the video - it has large plastic buttons on it that must be pressed in decently hard to make it light up and say things. There's no way a breeze or even a big rat could accidentally press those buttons. I've tried to convince myself that there's a logical explanation, like maybe that brand makes toys with extremely dodgy wiring. I'm a scientist and paranormal stuff doesn't fit with the rest of my world view, and I reeeeeally don't want to believe in it, but I've seen some shit in my lifetime that I really struggle to explain with logic. Scares the absolute crap out of me.

    • @@EmEm78 well I believe you and lol the fact that you yeeted out the toy was hilarious. Like it won’t make the ghosts/spirits leave if you do that. 😂. Well I had a similar experience when I was a kid. It wasn’t a toy but a plain old freaking ball. We were staying at this super old house and we were playing back then when the ball rolled over this huge storage room. It was dark and we were scared to go there so we’re like let’s call for someone to go get it for us and right before we could leave the freaking ball was bouncing. Like someone’s dribbling it. And then sometimes we’ll hear running footsteps in the middle of the night. Apparently, that’s poltergeist. It’s some sort of those activity. If there’s poltergeist happening with things moving and stuff it means the ghost haunting your place is super strong. And like there’s around 7? Kinds of poltergeist and in a study made before, that’s one of the basis they use to check if a place is actually haunted. Though I’m not really sure if there’d be any other scientific breakthrough we could get from a paranormal perspective

  • That drained/sick feeling is pretty normal actually. I feel that same feeling when I’m in antique stores. It’s literally only when I’m inside is when I feel this pressure around my temples and the air around my head feels warm and fuzzy almost? If I’m in the store for a certain amount of time I start to feel sick and feel the pressure get slightly worse, almost like that feeling if a headache coming on. There are certain objects in the stores I’ve been to I won’t touch Bcz of the sick feeling I get when I approach them (the negative energy most likely). When I pass kids toys, shoes, games, etc, I either feel immense sadness or wonder without trying to. The energy around a lot of objects mostly feels warm or I feel drawn to certain things. Some ppl are more in-tune with the energies of spirits than others, but everyone has the ability to feel energies or spirits. I still always try to cleanse whatever items I bring home and myself as well. What’s crazy is that as soon as I leave the store, those feelings just go away! It’s still crazy to me. My guess is that’s what happened to Erica, and with all the mix of energies from spirits who were hurt/sick was getting to her.

  • In 1826 the Genesee County Board of Supervisors met in Bethany, NY, to establish an alms house for the poor. But this facility became much more than a shelter for the destitute. It was also an asylum for unwed mothers, widows, orphans, mentally challenged people, the elderly and sometimes even the criminally insane. Now it is an 18th-century carriage house turned paranormal research center, now offering ghost-hunting tours. Sadly I was there often when it was owned by a retired farmer and his wife who had turned it into a carriage house where he was working on restoring carriages. Meanwhile, he opened the top floors to have mini shop's that you could sell your wear's. Unfortunately he passed and it went to other hand's that turned it to what it is today.

  • The little scream sounds heard by ghost-hunter hobbyists everywhere are only vocalizations of a common bird called a European starling. They are everywhere in the United States and nest and roost inside crevices and holes in the walls and roofs of buildings. And I think Erica suffered from a combination of a food allergy and dehydration. That is the symptom.
