I got the opportunity to test the new 2024 Triumph TF250X alongside some of the most legendary riders in the dirt bike industry. This is much more than just a 'first ride' though. We got the full factory treatment today. I had mechanics to dial in my bike, got towed around by Enduro World Champion Ivan Cervantes and somehow did a whip train with Ricky Carmichael Pretty unbelievable day.
To put the cherry on top, all of this went down at Gatorback Cycle Park. This is one of the most iconic dirt bike tracks in Florida and normally can only be ridden on race days. I always enjoy a new track, but this one is extra special.

RC is goated. Met him in 2005ish at hangtown at the riders meeting, signed my first helmet and talked with me and my uncle for a good 10 min. Straight up good dude. Most Moto pros I’ve met have been so cool

So stoked on ya, Jay! Triumph knows what they’re doing & I’m stoked they specifically picked you & invited you to do this. That was very smart marketing of them to do that. Especially, considering you’re an above average Joe shmo rider. The average Joe shmo’s is what makes them the $$$. They did enough research to select you. They could’ve select anybody else & they picked you. Maybe because they like your demeanor. They watched your videos & saw you’re nice, RAW, real, humble, funny, & honest about anything. A lot of people out there (in KZhead land) that they have researched must have seen too many huge heads with a shallow character. They probably didn’t like their pride, ego & trying to be way too funny on top of that made them look like someone’s behind. I’m not trying to kiss up to you or anything like that. And I don’t swing that way. 😂 I’m genuinely stoked for you. All the contents you put out, the wrecks, & recovery… this invite to Triumph was well deserved. I bet you were smiling huge the entire time under your helmet while being surrounded by legends & riding a new bike. I totally would be! I hope Triumph will read this comment & invite you every year! Not to push the luck, but I hope they hook you up with a new bike for advertisement. Or at least give you a killer employee discount.

To be honest, I haven’t ridden any recent KTM 250s so I can’t say. I do know it makes a lot of power up top and does rev a bit higher

Great video and what an experience getting to ride and talk with the GOAT. The bike looks excellent. What 250F engine does it feel most similar to? KTM?
Glad you enjoyed :) I haven't been able to ride a KTM 250 yet, but from everything I've heard the engine character is similar to KTM except the Triumph revs even higher and has a little more bottom end.
@@jaydaltonI own a '23 KTM 250 SX-F and the way you described the top end engine pull seems similar to the KTM (known for it). Low end is a meh - definitely better on the Yamahas, but mid-high is outstanding on the KTM 250F.
