  • I'm going to visit relatives in Sweden (my cousin, her husband, adult children and grandchildren) next week! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!! ("Precis")😂😂 Eventhough they all speak English, I feel that it's courteous to learn a few polite phrases such as these to use whenever you can. 😊❤❤ Tack so mycket!!!

  • My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

  • Each time I went to Åland Island...I hired a Swedish Foreign Exchange student...twice a week for the whole year before I went. I used very basic phrases. Most everybody appreciated my effort. I provided lots of laughs to my cousins. Who the heck taught you Swedish???😅😄😆

    • Well.. you can thing of Å as an A with a small O on the top. If you go with the "neutral" latin sound... you could say OA (in the long form). Or, since you are just starting, you could try with our 100% beginners video course: elansutbildning.teachable.com/p/swedish-for-complete-beginners

  • Tack. I'm coming to Sweden this summer on vacation. Looking forward to visiting and seeing where some of my ancestors came from (Stockholm and Malmo). My wife is German and I can see some commonalities.

  • Thanks alot Daniella for your efforts in teaching Swedish, your channel is really useful, I'd like to ask what should I say when someone says välkommen ? Is tack the answer or should I say something else.

    • I am glad you love our channel! :) That is a great question and I agree that it is super useful to know that in any language. In Swedish we say "Hur säger man"? (How do you say?). The literal translation would be "How say's man"?
