One of my favorite episodes also, I crack up every time, when she says "This guy again" when Ross walks into Central Perk.

I actually kind of liked it. Because he was prideful and never let go and needed to learn some humility at that point. It doesn't matter if she's wrong, he stopped questioning things and that's not okay for a scientist. Many people of today act all high and mighty due to their credentials but are saying some dangerous nonsense as absolute truth, and you should never ever do that, because if you're proven wrong you look extra foolish.
TBH Phoebe’s personality could be immature and grating. And while Ross, was quite correct about the cat, she refused to give back the cat she basically stole. Forced Ross to apologize when he _shouldn’t_ have. And the others didn’t have the balls to tell her. #6 Phoebe wasn’t intending to throw out the tickets, the bird did it. But yeah, it was a stupid thing to do. I wonder if Phoebe hadn’t gotten back together with Mike, if the writers would have chosen someone else? 🤔
To be fair, she had to “grow up” at a young age and didn’t have the easiest life, but yes, she could be annoying.
This show would have done just fine with 5 Friends. Phoebe-focused episodes were mostly boring.
Yes! And what about when she denied evolution? I'm not the biggest Ross fan and I like Phoebe, but I'm surprised no one called her out when she was being completely stupid.
@@TH2714 I think it wasn't about right or wrong, but everyone was tired of Ross being smarter than everyone else and being annoying about it, hence they didn't interfere. That and Phoebe with Ross can get hard-headed and stubborn so best to leave them alone. A scientist being humbled once in a while is a good thing.
@@TH2714 She just says that to annoy ross and make him look stupid. She's just saying that evolution is the best theory we have to explain life's mutations right now, but we maybe wrong, which you know is the reasonning behind science, if one day we find something that disputes evolution, well we'll just adapt. that's the difference between science and scientism, to use anything SCIENTIFIC as a autority argument, which a lot of people like ross likes to use to put themselves about others and not question themselves or their viewpoint.
Love Lisa, couldnt bear Phoebe, not that nice, drops her 'friends' in it a lot!

Monica is a good leader but needs to be liked Rachel is cute but is spoilt Phoebe is kind but is quirky Ross is smart but is boring Chandler is funny but is uncool Joey is good looking but is not so smart All great characters with likeable traits but also weaknesses (making them even more likeable because who likes little miss perfect??)
that is what really made it work, lots of new shows and movies makes the hero too perfect and the villains relatable with their flaws. Writers needs to go back to the working formulas, characters that has likeable traits and flaws is what makes them relatable they don't need to be villains, just regular people.
i would remove the fire one, which was not her fault, and also moving in with Mike and replace them with her being mean to Chandler many times for no reason, like when he was going to Tulsa and was saying good bye before she closed the door in his face or when he called from Tulsa for Christmas and she was going blablabla instead of wishing merry christmas, when she wanted to sing at their wedding the song where she says she thought Chandler is gay, when she said Monica always refers to him as Richard with no regards for his feelings, etc. etc. the other one would be the way she dismisses Ross when he is trying to explain evolution to her
There could be an entire video on her causing rifts between Monica and Chandler, especially at Chandler's expense. Phoebe was probably the biggest obstacle in their relationship.

Imagine if Friends was created in today's times. Characters would be a pain, cuz they'd have to include 50 friends instead of 6 to be inclusive of all genders and races. Plus, jokes would be woke, so the show wouldn't be funny.

The thing with the cat literally made me so mad like I don’t care that you think it’s your mom even if it is your mom the cat is not yours to keep you stole this cat and you know that someone is looking for it and your purposefully withholding it from a child Who wants their cat back whether it runs away or dies is devastating and she is purposefully causing this kid this family pain because she doesn’t want to give the cat back like the cat didn’t choose you. It just went into your guitar case that’s not choosing you.

David the scientist guy was SO MUCH BETTER than boring old Mike!! Phoebe could be very indiscrete though, most of the worst things she did were connected to that..

Phoebe is the absolute worst! She ruins every scene she's in. She always ridiculed and belittled the others. Sure she was written to be "quirky and weird", but it comes off as mean and petty. I think it's more than just her character too. Kudrow has the least successful career outside the show of all the cast. Next time you watch, check out how she's either bringing everyone down or just crapping on things in general. What's the line? "She just lifts right out". Even the characters/ actors in her world suck. Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn, Giovanni Ribisi, all annoying. And then there's Ursula. They do make perfect twins, vomit and diarrhea. 😄

This is where I can appreciate that I’m not going to be for everyone and that’s okay. Phoebe is TOTALLY my favorite Friend, but I can see why she’s not for everyone. 🤷🏻♂️
