The only thing people seem to complain about is specialists. They seem fun to me, but it'd be nice if Dice implemented different skins for allied vs hostile specialists to help add a sense of teamwork and differentiate between friend/foe.

Breakaway has some Operation Whiteout vibes the aesthetic looks clean. Destruction appears to have been toned down pretty drastically to accommodate performance

It makes sense to shorten the animation because realistically you’ll want cover to deploy instantly in-game, not look nice setting up. Same with the animations for vehicles that have been mostly scrapped.

If you look closely, in the first bit of the Renewal map clip, they used an old built of the game to make the video, since the score indicators are on the side (white text) as in the beta, rather than in the centre, as the other maps (and the other videos and newer builds).

I don't hate Specialists but I'll be playing using them and in Portal and I don't understand why people who dislike them are just canceling their Pre-Order when you could simply just play the game in Portal, No Specialists (and add Classes) with Full XP & everything.

How to make the worst battlefield game ever - Throw out the unique, beloved, and time proven battlefield formula. - implement a hero shooter formula instead - go all in on skins and microtransactions at the expense of overall content. - make sure the game is not competitive by removing the scoreboard and nerfing the point system. - make sure people can't play on their favorite maps or select map size etc (no server browser). - make sure people can't communicate with each other (no voip or all-chat) -kill the immersion by making everyone look exactly the same, like clones, and add cringey voicelines on top just to make sure the immersion is really dead. - make the maps too big and empty, with no destruction. -make sure there are very few weapons and little customization options. -dumb down wehicle mechanics so that there's no skill needed to operate them, and therefore also no reward associsted with mastering them. - add tons of bugs

I would really love to see more destruction, when your helicopter is shooting a wall with rockets you would really expect there to be some kind of damage to the wall even just a little bit. But it might be too late for them to make changes like this from an engine standpoint.

Bad company 2 had good destruction, if you removed the entire bottom layer of a house the entire thing fell down, if you shot an explosive at the ground it left a crater... Where as 90% of these maps feel like they are making all the buildings from titanium and then painting concrete textures over the top...

Look at 0:53 and the building partly collapsing in the back. The destruction looks the same as bfv but that house looks fully destructible. Also im glad that you can't fully destroy the warehouse buildings on orbital. They are objective buildings and without them infantry would have no cover to cap the flags.

@@ROACH123_ Bro if you could destroy the buildings in Orbital the map would suck worse than it already does, it really does not need less cover. It will work like every other previous entry, where only certain buildings are fully destructable to stop the map from breaking and losing its flow. DICE showed off their improvements to BFVs destruction engine, which is arguably the best, and was shown while they were probably working on this games' maps.

Even if DICE don't do it in All Out Warfare, Portal will allow for classic class setups with the 2042 maps, modes etc. XP is still enabled too!

Where is the destruction? Things I saw break; Some glass, a small building, a water tank. The last 5 BF games have had great destruction in them, why is it so toned down for this one? Apart from that issue I look forward to playing and exploring the maps.

@@ruhidmohamad BFV had construction though, which added tons of extra destructible objects to the environment. So far we've seen 0 evidence of construction systems in 2042. Added to this a lot of the buildings we've seen so far have little to no destructible components or frames that prevent the building collapsing. For example, the warehouse style buildings in objective D on the Beta map. You can destroy the walls but the frame is indestructible and so is the ceiling. This seems like a step back from a lot of the buildings in even BF4 where you could collapse them into rubble and kill people as they collapsed. I look forward to seeing what they put out and I'm hopeful that its good, but a part of me is also concerned by what we've seen thus far, despite any announcements from staff.

Generally, most people prefer the war tapes option as it sounds more realistic with emphasis on the ambient sounds like distant gunfire, explosions etc. It takes away some bass and adds treble whilst increasing distant audio and also increases footstep audio.

The only thing people seem to complain about is specialists. They seem fun to me, but it'd be nice if Dice implemented different skins for allied vs hostile specialists to help add a sense of teamwork and differentiate between friend/foe.

Breakaway has some Operation Whiteout vibes the aesthetic looks clean. Destruction appears to have been toned down pretty drastically to accommodate performance
Check 0:53 and look at the building partly collapsing in the background. It looks like the same physics and parameters of destruction as bfv but this house looks fully destructible

The Battlefield feeling is there. All I have to do in Portal is do away with those dumb specialists, turn on classes, turn off 3D spotting, turn off health regeneration, squad leader spawn only, lose whatever bullets you had when you reload. And there you go, classic Battlefield.

I'd like to see the shield deployment animation from your early demonstrations return one-day. The way it looks now is a bit bland and could potentially be annoying from the receiving end. But the map designs look great! Looking forward to playing them!

This gadget would be pretty useless compared to the others if deploying it was not instant.
It makes sense to shorten the animation because realistically you’ll want cover to deploy instantly in-game, not look nice setting up. Same with the animations for vehicles that have been mostly scrapped.

If you look closely, in the first bit of the Renewal map clip, they used an old built of the game to make the video, since the score indicators are on the side (white text) as in the beta, rather than in the centre, as the other maps (and the other videos and newer builds).

I have gameplay on my channel of some of this maps. I really enjoyed Renewal since it’s basically cut in half and both sides of the battlefield play completely different. So far enjoying the game can’t wait till is fully optimized.

As much as breakaway is probably going to be my favorite map, I really think it would have taken it over the edge to have it take place during the winter solstice, and have those beautiful myriad of sunset colors lighting up the sky while some Aurora dances above

How to make the worst battlefield game ever - Throw out the unique, beloved, and time proven battlefield formula. - implement a hero shooter formula instead - go all in on skins and microtransactions at the expense of overall content. - make sure the game is not competitive by removing the scoreboard and nerfing the point system. - make sure people can't play on their favorite maps or select map size etc (no server browser). - make sure people can't communicate with each other (no voip or all-chat) -kill the immersion by making everyone look exactly the same, like clones, and add cringey voicelines on top just to make sure the immersion is really dead. - make the maps too big and empty, with no destruction. -make sure there are very few weapons and little customization options. -dumb down wehicle mechanics so that there's no skill needed to operate them, and therefore also no reward associsted with mastering them. - add tons of bugs
Portal is the only reason I'm still considering the purchase. Was looking forward to kitting out my soldier with individual items and being a bit unique, not specialists

@@taintedbethanyenjoyer4842 the artillery in the helicopter only have 1 weapon, only 2 planes, the optics in the tank sucks, without termics... a grenade can score 10 points from a tank and a guided grenade can take half its life, 64 players vs 1 tank, is that the only think? And the bugs...
I would really love to see more destruction, when your helicopter is shooting a wall with rockets you would really expect there to be some kind of damage to the wall even just a little bit. But it might be too late for them to make changes like this from an engine standpoint.
Bad company 2 had good destruction, if you removed the entire bottom layer of a house the entire thing fell down, if you shot an explosive at the ground it left a crater... Where as 90% of these maps feel like they are making all the buildings from titanium and then painting concrete textures over the top...
@@ICE0124 some of the destruction was good, but I found myself shooting a beam of a small building with a tank and it does 0 damage, and shooting every single wall doesn't collapse the building, kinda lame when bad company 2 had better destruction

Also im glad that you can't fully destroy the warehouse buildings on orbital. They are objective buildings and without them infantry would have no cover to cap the flags.

@@ROACH123_ Bro if you could destroy the buildings in Orbital the map would suck worse than it already does, it really does not need less cover. It will work like every other previous entry, where only certain buildings are fully destructable to stop the map from breaking and losing its flow. DICE showed off their improvements to BFVs destruction engine, which is arguably the best, and was shown while they were probably working on this games' maps.

Firemode is always visible. Your reticle changes depending on firemode.

Where is the destruction? Things I saw break; Some glass, a small building, a water tank. The last 5 BF games have had great destruction in them, why is it so toned down for this one? Apart from that issue I look forward to playing and exploring the maps.

@@ruhidmohamad BFV had construction though, which added tons of extra destructible objects to the environment. So far we've seen 0 evidence of construction systems in 2042. Added to this a lot of the buildings we've seen so far have little to no destructible components or frames that prevent the building collapsing. For example, the warehouse style buildings in objective D on the Beta map. You can destroy the walls but the frame is indestructible and so is the ceiling. This seems like a step back from a lot of the buildings in even BF4 where you could collapse them into rubble and kill people as they collapsed. I look forward to seeing what they put out and I'm hopeful that its good, but a part of me is also concerned by what we've seen thus far, despite any announcements from staff.

@@ShadowReaper-pu2hx In the audio settings you can change the atmosphere of the audio. Generally, most people prefer the war tapes option as it sounds more realistic with emphasis on the ambient sounds like distant gunfire, explosions etc. It takes away some bass and adds treble whilst increasing distant audio and also increases footstep audio.
Can't wait to play these maps in Portal so we can have a real Battlefield experience.
