For anybody that needs more diamonds than just strip mining or caving, try searching in flooded caves at deepslate levels for diamonds. If you didnt know, diamonds appear more often when not exposed to air, and water replaces air making them more common. Try taking some soul sand, magma blocks, or water breathing potions for air. You could also use a door for some reason.
when you are starting out use doors( java only) if you are on bedrock use block that create air bubbles for advanced use water breathing potions or a respiration helmet
You can use a door to open us to new opportunities

Thank you for including the Y levels on screen man! Also I may be a little rusty but I didn't realize ores could generate diagonal from one another.
Another tip: If you do strip mining for ancient debris, you can use beds to go really fast. I've been able to get a lot of ancient debris this way in the past. Every five blocks youve mined forwards, mine one more forwards. Then, dig as far as you can in a one-block big hole to your left or right (it doesnt matter which, and you can do it on both sides) as far as you can. Then, place a bed as far as you can aways in the end of the one block tunnel. You can do this for the other side. Make sure to keep the bed positions five blocks apart or more. You can just repeat and do it for a long ways without exploding them, then you go through and explode them after youre done placing all of them. I recommend Fire Resistance if you can get it (you dont need it, but it helps a lot when fire appears right under you.) Also, don't do it too fast cuz otherwise you can die. Armor is also helpful although it does take durability. I dont know if this method is as efficient as when I used to do it back in 1.16-1.17, but it's definitely worth a shot!
Beds are too time consuming and also expensive to craft; and most importantly not stackable. You can carry 1728 TNT in one shulkerbox. TNT mining is the most useful method to mine Ancient Debris. Try it yourself :D

Yeah What you do is you use beds early game, then switch to tnt in the late game once you get shulker boxes and all that.
bed also have an additional disadvantage of blowing up the upper layer and create "lavafall" to blind sight but if you somehow got a godly wealth of wood and wool, it is suggested since its no doubt faster in some ways

Mountains have coal, iron, calicut, and emerald. Iron: Y= 16, deepslate iron can be found below Y= 0 in clusters from tuff and iron(you can find raw block which give you 9 raw irons 2:52 ) Copper: Y= 48, You can find some copper-granite clusters from Y= 0~48 and it is huge. Lapis: Y= 0 Gold: Y= -16 o just go to badlands Diamond: Y= -58 ~ -54 Redstone: Y= -58 ~ -54 4:13 Tips for strip mining 4:55 Another tip In nether quarts and gold you just need to search for exposed ires in nether waste biome Ancient debris: Y= 16 and spawn more along chunck borders (R.I.P pe players) 7:59 more tips

Bonus Tip: You can do the swimming method for diamonds at level - 54, just make a one block hole which is long enough, place a bucket and sprint swim, and take this bucket, you will be cramped in the same position but you will be faster and more chances of finding, because you are faster, i found many diamonds like this
4:40 Idk how but one day i found 5 fossilis [there may have been more] in one single mineshaft and I know for a fact that they're super rare in the overworld [and in the nether, if they're not in a soul valley]
If you're branch mining, it is not the best to have your tunnels only 2 blocks apart. It does make sure you don't miss any ores at that level, but that's not the goal! The goal is to get the most ores in the least amount of time, with the least amount of wear on your pickaxe. That means mining the minimum number of blocks. Having the tunnels close together means that you will expose some ore bodies from two different tunnels, so it's a waste. Also, some ores like diamond can only spawn in one group per chunk, so once you find one, many of the very close tunnels will have no chance of finding more. From testing and simulations, it's best to have your tunnels 5-6 blocks apart so you'll very rarely time and durability finding the same ores from two different sides. Also, it's most efficient to make the tunnels very long. Like 1k long even.

Quick tip on your windows you can look up Calibrate Display Color and click next until you see adjust gamma there you can use the scroller to adjust your gamma and you can see more easily in caves.

I like using silk touch on deepslate ores and using them for building. Makes things look awesome
*BEST DIAMOND MINING LAYER* As Gorillo said, lava pools cannot generate at y-54, but while stripmining at y-52 you have a chance to run into ANCEINT CITIES 😊

underground best y level ( *stripmining in the overworld* ) iron - y = 16 copper - y = 48 lapis - y = 0 gold - y = -16 (badland caves are fulll of it) diamonds - y = -58 / y = -54 (just above lava as a lot of lava pools spawn at the level) redstone - y = -54 the best level for *all* ores is y = 8 *nether* quartz and nether gold - look for nether waste biomes (if you are mining for nether gold, use a *silk touch pick as when the ores is smelted gives you 1 full ingot(9 nuggets)* while with *fortune 3 gives 8.8 nuggets* on average) ancient debris - 1, find a good biome (warped forests and nether waste are good, AVOID BASALT DELTAS with lots of mobs and slow to mine blocks) 2, go to y = 14 ancient debris spawn at a higher rate along the chunk borders ( on Java, press F3 + G or Fn + F3 + G to see chunk borders) make a 2x2 hole for the best results if you have mending, mine all the quartz and nether gold you find to fix your pickaxe *bonus tips* -when caving, use a silk touch pickaxe to save inventory space, if you cant get silk touch then throw out useless items and bring along a crafting table (WHEN CAVING ITS BEST TO BRING WOOD FOR STICKS AND EMERGENCY CRAFTING TABLE) and craft the minerals into full blocks -if you want deepslate coal, it spawns between * y = 8 to y = 0* -if you want deepslate emerald (the rarest ore in the game), it stops spawning at *y = -16* ONLY IN MOUNTAIN BIOMES -moss mining trick; 1, get some moss 2, place it above some blocks 3, bonemeal it, blocks around it under it will turn into moss blocks which you can insta mine with a stone hoe or better, great for diamond hunting!!

stripmining for diamonds at y = -54 has worked the best for me so far, i've never ran into overhead lava while mining at that level so I think y -54 is the best y level to mine for diamonds

I am playing in an island seed, so i dont have mountains to mine coal and iron. I dig down to level 16, mined huge area in level 16 and i have no ores. I have 1 chest full of useles stones. Is there something wrong with my game?

The best way to find ancient debris is to get an efficiency 5/4, unbreaking 3, mending and fortune 3 diamond or netherite pickaxe and mine sideways super fast to reveal a giant area within minutes to get those precious netherite ingots

Aterium are the best ore in Minecraft with weapon mods aterium ore have 17 attack damage and before you go to nether you have to find tungsten ore

In servers, I am usually the richest person, generally 'cause I am lucky. I once was mining for diamonds, I found several of them just from the caves and as I was mining some sculk for xp, I found a lot more! And then I got lost in the caves and before my friend could rescue me, a creeper blew my face and I survived with 2½ hearts and I was just too lucky to find more due to the explosion!
