The top electric toothbrushes at three price-points: over $100, around $100, and under $100. In this updated version, I take a look at the Oclean X (or is it OcleanX) and their offerings in the three categories. The down side of OcleanX is their lack of a true pressure sensor, which for me makes them only appealing as options at the lowest price point. Check out my full review for some of Oclean X’s unique and exciting features that may still make them appeal to you as your brush of choice if you can be sure you’re brushing gently and not damaging your gums!

  • On oclean X Pro elite you need to take 2 steps in order to activate Pressure Sensor: 1) In the Oclean Care+ APP Go to Device tab, and select your toothbrush. Then in the Function Settings enable "AI frequency reduction during overpressure" 2) On the Oclean X Pro elite brush select mode: CLEAN and Intensity: 24 (or above). The pressure sensors kicks in above intensity 24. From 0-23 intensity Oclean thinks no need for pressure sensor (Below 60,000 movements/min) From 24-32 intensity the AI reduction works. (63000-84000 movements) 3) Then if you overpressure, it will feedback you with change the frequency to very very low.

    • Kinda weird that she even put the video up with her saying in the middle of the video, recommending oclean. Then at the end, saying no? Who does that? It should've been said from at the middle point. And the fact she hasn't even responded to the one comment stating the function exists, but responded to everyone else is sketchy.

    • I both have Oclean X Pro Elite and Sonicare 9000. I think Oclean is better at tech, like 3D mouth map, tracking etc. But the sonicare has better quality and wider selection of brush heads.@@IAmTheGlovenor

  • Thankyou for sharing seemingly refreshing unbiased and knowledgable info...stumbled across the video as I searched for an electric toothbrush for my 10 year son whose motor skills are now that great. Opted for the Oral B teens toothbrush in the 'sales'.

  • Great video! Information is very helpful for deciding which brushes I should get for the family. The price categories should be renamed though. The brush that's at $100 is now almost $150. Price above $100 is 4250.

  • I have the Colgate Hum. I don’t like how harsh the bristles are and there’s no options for softer bristles.

  • I'm trying out an Oral-B brush after using Sonicare models for almost 20 years, and so far I'm impressed. Sonicare is by no means junk, but the Oral-B just seems like a better fit for my mouth. Hopefully there will be less constructive feedback at my next hygiene appointment.

  • If Oclean kids does an upgrade on their system to have a useful pressure sensor, can you please do an UPDATE video? It is a very interesting competitor. The sound of electric toothbrushes can be really intimidating to young ones, and it is incredible how quiet the Oclean kids is. Thank you!

    • I'd love to - and if it can get a functional pressure sensor I'll be a BIG fan, ESPECIALLY that whisper quiet kids one, it's amazing!

  • Wait… so do ANY of the Oclean have a pressure sensor?

  • How do you get to the back of the rear molar with the electric toothbrush? (i.e the side facing the esophagus)

    • The small rounded head of the OralB is the easiest to wrap around from either the cheek or the tongue side to reach it if you're able to open wide enough, or you can reach over the top surface to the back. Flossing is also an option if opening enough to reach with the brush isn't possible. Curaprox also has a small brush that can help clean hard to reach places, it's called an "end tufted" brush.
