  • Oceans scare the hell out of me. I don't know how people dive down there.

    @miguelcabrera9801@miguelcabrera98018 жыл бұрын
    • +Miguel Cabrera Spent six months working in Mauritius and was able to go diving every weekend. The island is an ancient volcano so the sides just drop off very steeply indeed ( 2Km I seem to recall). For the most part the water is crystal clear but when you look over that ledge it vanishes in to darkness. Its an unnerving sight and it took me a while to swim out over that abyss.

    • Gman Bacon We know more about the universe than we do the Oceans. I know about rouge planets and gamma ray bursts, and asteroidal impact, but if anything like that happens in my lifetime then like grab a beer and a babe and watch the end happen. The ocean however i live in a coastal town and I'm in the ocean like weekly. You ever heard of the Bloop? (look it up if not)

We owned a condo overlooking the beach and at first we thought someone was shining a blue light on the ocean, then when it lasted for hours we went down to check it out. It was incredible! The plankton glows when agitated so glows with every step in the sand. It's amazing.

    • +Robert Gift Glad U liked it! :) Whirlepools are normally created by ocean tides. When flowing water hits any kind of barrier, it twists away and spins around rapidly with great force.

    • +Top 10s The Maelstrom is not one whirlpool, but rather a series of whirlpools off the isle of Mosken in Norway. The tides are moving at a ridiculously fast speed (18 km/hour) and the eddies can rip apart just about anything caught in them. There are actually stronger currents elsewhere in Norway, but Mosken holds the one that gets the name.
