  • Really disappointed with the interviewer here and some of the questioning. You get a Premier League manager in with lots of experience who has had an unorthodox journey into coaching/management and she asks “how the F are Leicester doing so well?”. Clearly no research done on his success at previous clubs and his style.

    • This is a different kind of format. The audience it's aimed at is not just a football audience, so it has to be more generic.

      @jejmoss11@jejmoss114 жыл бұрын
    • @@jejmoss11 I agree, if anything her biggest mistake was focusing her questions specifically on something she herself doesn't understand to a high level (football). Imo she should have explored Rodgers philosophies, his mindet, how he resolves issues. If you ask interesting questions that you could just as easily ask anyone you'll still get an insight into football because it's from his perspective, rather than asking vague football specific questions that most casual fans could have awnsered.

  • Could tell I wasn't going to like this after the first question: "How the 'f' are Leicester suddenly so good?". What kind of question is that? Not very classy. Just because he's a football manager, doesn't mean you talk to him like you would someone in a pub. He showed Oxford respect and deserved a bit better, in my opinion. I have lots of respect for Brendan and I think even he was a bit unpleasantly surprised by that opener. The tone was off from the beginning.

  • Celtic fan here with some more appropriate questions for the man for anyone whoever gets the opportunity: You have credited Jose Mourinho as your biggest influence in coaching. What about Jose's method made it's biggest mark on you in your time at Chelsea? Jose is ofcourse renowned for his 'win at all costs' mentality. You however once said your drive as a coach was working with and improving players and that trophies are a secondary consideration. How has winning every domestic competition you entered as Celtic manager affected this notion? **Possible follow up** Champions League qualification or win the FA Cup? Your time at Liverpool was defined by meteoric improvements on the pitch - describe to me how you highlighted the sides strengths and what you did to bring that side together. **Luis Suarez** You area Celtic supporter and the most successful Celtic manager since Jock Stein however your reputation amongst supporters divided. How do you feel about this? Where do you consider your own place in Celtic's history?

  • I was really sad for Rogers when he left LFC, at the time I felt he’d been let down by the recruitment team’s failure to replace Luis Suarez with a quality player. But what this interview has demonstrated is, to Rogers, LFC was just another football club that was big enough for him to achieve his own personal ambitions. Contrast that with Klopp and the naked passion he has for the club. Maybe I’m being overly romantic about my club but Sir Alex Ferguson said of Klopps appointment to LFC,” I’m really worried about this appointment, there is just something about Klopp and Liverpool that goes together”, tell me who knows more about football than Ferguson? And that’s coming from a Liverpool fan.

    • @@Tom_3566 Yeah I blame him for the way he left to be honest. When you say you're a Celtic fan born into it and in your dream job then leaving anyone for Celtic halfway through the season is very poor. To leave for Leicester (all due respect to Leicester) is extremely hard to take after all the things he said. Obviously harder for English people to get that side of things but when you come to Celtic or Rangers for that matter, financially it might not be as lucrative but its a unique job in that your managing a huge club that is very important to people, so leaving in the middle of a season is far from common practice. In spite of all that he did wonders for Celtic and left a great legacy.

  • Shame the interviewer knows nothing about football. She asks Rodgers how to keep Leicester motivated when Liverpool are so far ahead, Rodgers and Leicester Citys targets this season where never to win the Premiership for christ sake. Disappointed that an institution like Oxford provided such an inappropriate interviewer and therefore Rodgers is being asked rather silly questions due to her lack of footballing knowledge. An idiotic choice of interviewer from Oxford University, pretty embarrassing for a University that is supposed to pride itself on intelligence. By the way I have nothing against the lady, she may well be very good conducting other interviews but she was definitely the wrong selection for this.

  • Celtic Park?😂 Yes, great atmosphere for big games. Definitely up there among the best .... “Unique” Erm no Brendan. Ibrox is at least as good. As as Anfield, probably OT. Nou Camp, Madrid, Juve. the Turkish clubs, the Greeks, Munich etc etc etc. You list a few players impressed by Celtic Park. Every club has visiting players that say that shit. Del Piero, Valdes, Neville, Rudd VN among others said the same about Ibrox. It’s bollocks. Difference is you lot actually hold onto that shit like a trophy😂

    • A “hun”? ...😂😂😂 Fuck, I really need to give you people a reality check. Now pay attention, I’ll make this as simple as I possibly can for you. 😂😂😂😂 Who is more “hun”? Huns = Nazis, who were anti Semitic. Is there another people on earth who hate the Jews as much as the Nazis? Well yes there is, it’s Palestine. Where are Palestine most supported (in reality most they actually don’t care, it’s just symbolism by people who sadly lack in so many things) in Europe. Probably Celtic Park.... Celtic who are by their own admission are a club with deep Irish Catholic roots ... Ireland, a third world shitehole which remained neutral during WW2 whilst Britain fought alone against the tyranny of the Nazis (huns) Me, well I’m proud to support a team who are British to the core. Britain, a country which stood alone against fascism, first to abolish and stand against slavery. The first true democracy. A country who has always stood up against tyranny, no matter matter the cost. We gave you the industrial revolution, women rights, workers rights, gay rights. We lead the world in the worlds most popular sport, music, art. Economically, culturally and militarily Britain remains in the top pier of nations... Celtic, the Irish Catholic team. seem to share the same ideology as the “huns”. Ireland and the Catholic Church seem to overtly or covertly support Child abuse, anti abortion, anti gay, anti Jew ideologies. A nation with absolutely no relevance economically, culturally or militarily. To most people the belief system held by many of this persuasion looks very similar to an ideology started by a little Austrian painter who lived in Germany. Tears?😂😂😂 Jealousy? 😂😂😂 Huns? 😂😂😂 No, this is just us trying to educate you again but I must admit it’s seeming like a lost cause these days. A bit like United Ireland Honestly conquering Ireland seems to have have a complete waste of time for us. We’ve tried to help your little culture and educate you and give you some sort of relevance but I suppose you can’t tell a pig they live in shit. Mugs 😂😂😂
