  • Greek salad for me. I try to make it at home in England, but the fruit and veggies are not the same. They aren’t as kissed by the sun as the Greek ingredients. Going Kefalonia in June. Can’t wait!

  • My favorite greek food is πιτακια με μαραθο (fennel pies) from the greek island of Ikaria. We have a lot of wild fennel here in Portugal and I love to go pick it up and make these delicious pies.

  • I'm Filipino with a Greek name w/c means calm down or guite if I say the ancient Greek form "I want you to be quite" Nais demetis ka it is the same in the Philippine language. Did the Alexander the Great mercernaries visited Philippines in 321 BCE.? When ancient Greek armour was found in the Philippines , everything began to make sence. For example fish paste we Filipino pronounce it in the Greek form Garhong ,we Filipinos pronounce it Bagahong. The Bibingka is cook in the Greek way, but the most convincing evidence is exclusive dish among Laconia -Spartans is Melos Zomos pig blood broth. We Filipinos call it Dinuguan..

  • My favourite is moussaka without bechamel. I had it a long time ago. There were long eggplant slices on the top. Since then I do not understand why people put bechamel on the moussaka.
