  • Odegaard is actually ridiculous, a lot of people mention how Rice is an engine but this guy doesn't stop pressing. 91st minute and he's still chasing people down

    • Rice was the new toy this season, and he's done very well, it's natural that people want to talk about that. Rice is still ridiculously good, but it's just that Ødegaard is insane, there are no other player I enjoy watch playing more than him.

  • £27mil for Trossard, who was our second choice after Chelsea paid £88mil for Mudryk - who had to be subbed because he was so ineffective (again) - is almost like the Universe giving us a high five! And Partey running things in the engine room once more? Loved it.

  • Are there any more words that we can use to describe Martin Odegaard and his talents?? I'm not sure there are any words but I'll have a look in the O.E.D?? The fact that we paid just £35 million for this phenomenally talented young man makes it even sweeter...... he is a world class footballer in my opinion.

  • We need to talk about Ben White, this guy is incredible, he continues to surprise me game on game. How he has transitioned into this right back role, his link up play with Saka and Odegaard is exceptional, such a key member of the squad and the more he plays a more attacking role the more his technical ability shines through, absolute baller.

  • It was a bizarre game in some ways. Yes we smashed them, but we also gave up more chances than usual and Chelsea could have had a couple of goals. Need to tighten up for Spurs and cut out the silly errors at the back, as I don't think Son will be as generous as Jackson et al.

    • Thank you! I hope Mikel and the coaching staff are working hard on this. We could have been 2-1 down at half time if Chelsea took their chances. Saliba has looked dodgy at times. Our back line has been near perfect this season and we need that type of defence vigilance and quality down the road on Sunday. Also the Emirates was quiet until the 2nd goal went in. Home support needs to be more consistent and loud whether we’re winning or losing.

  • If Martin Odegaard doesn't get Premier League player of the season, it will be criminal. Imagine if his name was Jack Grealish or Marcus Rashford, or even Bakayo Saka. The English media would have him hyped through the roof. For me, he's underrated. He's on a level with the likes of Jude Bellingham, who's been spoken about in the Ballon d'Or conversation. He's certainly the best footballer in this league this season by a distance.

    • I mean, he did have a slow start and disruption for injury. Your view is pure recency bias. He has got a fair shout for POTS but it's absolutely not a given; there's a STRONG argument for Rice to be Arsenal's POTY, given his consistency throughout and the level he has shown in his first season. Gabriel has been probably the best defender in the league this season, basically not put a foot wrong all season. ...and those are just Arsenal players... Reliability is the best ability; consistency is a big consideration in these discussions and a slow start should have an impact. A season isn't just the back end.

  • Charles, I go back a bit further than you, growing up watching Brady, Paul Davis, Rocky & Mickey T etc. but I don’t think I have seen such a complete attacking midfielder as Odegaard. Vieira had the power, drive & tenacity, Fabregas the vision & passing, Santi the energy & tricks & of course Brady had that left foot. Odegaard, however has it all and more! He just never chooses the wrong option. His passing is often genius, seeing things that we don’t even pick up from the upper tier. He goes box to box and is the often the most advanced closing down their keeper. His energy & drive is endless. Long passes like the one to Havertz against Chelsea are just normal for him. We should sit back & enjoy. Dennis watch out - he really is that good. Russ.

  • Hey Charles I'm super stoked. Looking forward to Sunday, even. 1. Arteta should never ever play Kai Havertz in the midfield. 2. Odegaard is out of this world. What does he need to do for the world to appreciate him more? 3. Rice X Partey X Odegaard was my predicted and preferred midfield and it was on fire. Arsenal should extend Partey's contract with a year with option of another year. It wouldn't hurt to have him and Jorginho for a couple more years. Their experience is incredible. 4. Proud of Kai Havertz but I think he needs to be a little more intentional and aggressive with his finishing, he could have easily bagged a hat trick yesterday. 5. Saka is tired and his posture is screaming for help. 6. Raya might just bag that EPL golden glove 🥊 7. Arsenal should save Mudryk's career and just buy him. White is a baller! His goal reminded me of Saka's against Chelsea when he too was trying to cross and found back of the net.😂😂 Come to think about it, Arsenal always scores enigmatic goals against Chelsea, remember the Martinelli one, too? 😂

  • Hi Charles! To follow on from your thoughts on Odegaard, I think he is the player of the season and the most important cog in the team because we don’t really have backup who can press, pass, and control the game the way he does. But the thing I’d like to point out was how quick Arteta was to give Edu credit for bringing Odegaard into the team when talking to Martin Keown after the game. I think, as the club progresses over the next few seasons, that Edu is our not-so-secret weapon. When you look at the players he’s bringing in, almost all of them are hits with very few misses. Credit to Edu and his team!

  • Hi Charles, yes it was a great night, MO’s passing all night was sublime, the best probably the one for Kai. Might only have been surpassed by Jesus if that Rice chance was onside and he scored. Gabriel and Rice were out on their feet at the end of the match. Against the spuds, big Ange’s set up is based on pacey wingers on the counter so we’ll have to be aware, everything riding on this game again. Partey has to start if he feels ok, same goes for Tomi.

  • Hi Charles, love the content and daily uploads. Keep it up. After last nights win over Chelsea as you can imagine I’ve woken up a very happy Arsenal fan. I had a few points to make in this so excuse the length but. I genuinely think David Raya’s presence in goal for us is being criminally underrated in terms of the difference he makes and the numbers we churn out. To think he’s ahead in the GG race by I think 5 clean sheets and you take into account the 4 games he missed and the two vs Brentford. But because he’s not English the media don’t want to give him his flowers. Last night was very much the Martin Odegaard show, the way that man floats around a football pitch and sees things only probably himself, KDB and TAA can see. But yesterday I think Partey being back in the 6 was massive, I think with his fitness issues we really forget how good he can be in that position. The line breaking passes and composure he showed last night was up there with his better Arsenal performances. I also think this facilitates Declan Rice’s current best position at Arsenal as an 8, he’s able to be so much more direct and aggressive in that position as he hasn’t yet developed the ability that Thomas has with line breakers, he has a great range of passing but still has a lot to learn in what OUR 6 needs. It was also lovely to see Kai Havertz score two and celebrate against his old lot with a knee slide at the carpet. Onto the NLD on Sunday COYG

The Gunners put on an absolute spectacle, treating the Emirates Stadium to a dazzling 5-0 victory over Chelsea. It was a game where Arsenal's attacking prowess was on full display, peppering Chelsea's goal with shots like confetti at a party. Honestly, it could have been 8-0 or more if the woodwork and their keeper hadn't intervened to save Chelsea's blushes. And let's talk about Nicolas Jackson's survival on the pitch after that wild tackle - it's like VAR decided to take an extended coffee break! But hey, no complaints from us Gooners, because this victory proves once and for all that Arsenal is not a team of "bottlers." Martin Odegaard is such a super talent, and getting only better with age! Now, onto the next challenge: a London derby against our noisy neighbours, Spurs. Let's paint North London red!

  • We’ve been crying for Partey since his return but Arteta for some reason didn’t opt for it especially against Bayern away why wasn’t Partey playing ? This is my only frustration with Mikel he sometimes makes weird decisions when we need him to make the right ones.

  • Hi Charles, love the show, thank you for the daily content. In response to the two potential red card challenges in the last two games, just want to point that using reckless to describe a red card is not used in the laws of the game. Reckless is used to describe a yellow card in the laws of the game. However, you are spot on using endangering the safety of a player as this is associated with a red card.

  • I was both buzzing and gutted watching last night. Buzzing that we were purring and showing Chelsea up, but gutted that we have been robbed of Partey all season and that we can't really rely on his fitness going forward next season. He is such a top player and makes the team so much better.

  • Hi Charles-- What do you make of the rumored new spending cap proposals? Sounds crazy to me because of the impact it'll have players' sales. So many lower/mid table clubs continue to benefit immensely from player sales. If you cap, say, City or Arsenal's ability to buy, there'd be no more huge Rice & Grealish-style windfalls for the likes of West Ham & Aston Villa. Plus, unfairly, it'll limit EPL squads in European competitions.

  • A great all round performance. No abusing here re; Chelsea, thought we are above all that mickey taking. I thought Partey was immense, yes a few dodgy moments that apart, he looked a colossus in midfield. Not my favorite player, we never rarely see him, but i hope we sell him in close season while we have some value. You all know what will happen , he will fall over a napkin, and well, you know what happens next. I was delighted to see Fabio come on, believe me, there is a PLAYER in there. Have know idea what the problem is there, but someone will get a bargain if he goes. good luck the week end lads.👍👍

  • Once a game is 5-0 it’s hard for subs to have a big impact as the game is as good as over.

  • Odegaard, Rice and Partey are definitely our main midfield trio. The midfield were so so much more fluid than with Jorginho as a 6 and/or Havertz/Trossard as a left 8. Partey should start NLD without question. Also, Trossard is on fire and there's absolutely no reason not to utilize his form for NLD. Trossard should start NLD also and him not starting could disrupt his rhythm which we don't want to for our remaining games.

  • Partey was so good last night that I think Jorginho loses his place for NLD. What say you Charles?

  • I actually thought Tomas Partey was really sloppy in the first half. Dwelling on the ball too much and lots of mis-placed passes. Fair play to him though he improved greatly in the 2nd half.

  • Charles , Am I the only one that who was gutted that we didn’t score more , I mean Martinelli alone had two clear cut chances and he was a sub and fluffed his line .. I honestly I’m still gutted .. he didn’t feel sorry for us when we were god awful , were they and never will !! Martinelli man, seriously what happened to that lad .. usually he’ll be to count on for goals , particularly those kinda chances !!

  • Hi Charles, hope you are well! I have a question regarding Partey. Do you think it is worth keeping him for another year, even if we then possibly lose him on a free? I personally would like to keep him, just so we have his availability (if he stays fit) and for what he would be able to pass on to the likes of Rice and/or any other players to play in the 6 role. I think a lot of players could still learn from how he plays and the way he benefits the Arsenal squad with his vision and passing range. Thanks and keep up the good work. Dennis

  • We will win the title at Old Trafford and finish in style by winning 4-1 against Everton! That’s my current prediction based on our history, would be so sweet! I’m aware I haven’t calculated the possibilities of winning the league at Old Trafford but COYG

  • "Chelsea has given us a bit of misery over the years." Meanwhile, Chelshit has 1 win in their last 10 games against us...... They haven't been a problem for us in a long time. Also, it was a GK error on the first goal. A PL GK should be making that save 100% of the time.

  • Hi Charles, Partey showed yesterday how much the team missed a midfielder who can pass vertically and free Ødegaard of dropping deep and building the play up. Given we sign a midfielder of starting quality who can provide similar qualities (and obviously would be more reliable), who would you rather keep between Partey and Jorginho? I was more keen on keeping Jorginho, but seeing Partey yesterday makes me feel it might be good to have Thomas arround as long as we don't rely fully on him as he's more capable of magic than the more secure Jorginho.

  • I don't think you mentioned it but Raya has secured the Golden Gloves THIS SEASON already. Who gets the most credit for this? Raya? Salibriel? Entire Back 4? Rice/Jorginho? Interested to hear your thoughts. Also Sunday, avoiding defeat means it's St Totteringham's Day. It seems like the animosiy levels from players and coaches are a fraction of what they once were. Has the NLD become primarily a fan-based rivalry?

  • One thing Raya has over Ramsdale is that he dominates his box, is on the front foot Which is funny because Ramsdale is the taller, more imposing specimen
