Teens are impulsive enough already, but with social media you've got all your embarassing stuff now documented in video and your creations are rated, your friendships are based in likes, and you often get "revenge" publicly online and then it ruins your friendships.

    • @@HouseMDaddict You probably have a good point. I've been thinking recently how my isolated lifestyle has affected me in my developing years. I'm socially inept in several ways now, and I think about suicide often. It's a hard world to live in. She reminds me of myself, except she is happy and blissfully ignorant. I don't remember a time being happy in elementary school and since 6th grade, I've just kind of been surviving. I have a few friends, but never been in a relationship and I've let myself go a long time ago. Sorry to drop this on you, I just think it's interesting and not fully understood what the effects of the internet and media devices have had on kids in the digital age. I would happily give myself to research and tbe pursuit of science if it would help society understand how to avoid creating individuals like me. I'm sure she'll be fine. Any exposure to other people, even virtually, should help her grow as a person.
