  • Please make a video about the procedure in choosing the right pair of gloves for a heavyweight championship boxing match. Also show the max warm up and stretching and shadow boxing a fighter does before getting in the ring! Great Video! Ps: maybe you can also show how to apply oil or Greece to a fighter, even though it’s illegal a lot of guys I boxed would use warming oil in the dressing room to help break a sweat before going out, it’s kind of like hot baby oil about an hour before the fight and then sweat enough where it could not be seen by ring walk time... Great Stuff

  • Hello Sir! Very good video! I just have some things to say from my personal point of view. If you x cross the pattern and go directly under the thumb, you loose stability in the wrist! After an x cross I always go around the wrist again. The knucklepad I always measure from the fighter who gets wrapped, in my opinion it makes no sense to use my anatomy if the fighter has a complete different than my own! If you adjust the knucklepad it is maybe also a problem with the main stability and comfort. In the most pro fight it is just allowed to use just 1 roll of tape for each hand! Mixing is not allowed in many countries. I also use long stripes to protect the wrist by itself. But this is one of the best explanation video about handwrapping ever! Big respect

  • Great instructions. One suggestion is to hold the roll the opposite way so the gauze coming off the roll is already on the body part being wrapped.

    @lightworker4512@lightworker45122 жыл бұрын
    • You can do it that way, I don't choose to do it one way or another, it's just the way I picked up the roll at that time.

  • This was one ☝️ f the best videos on Handwrapping I’ve seen Question, I’ve noticed in the UK coaches use the finger tape from the top and in the US they pull from underneath? I feel from underneath it pulls the knuckle padding back from the fist. I suppose it’s up to fighter Again, amazing video mate

    @DAVIDANDREWSPTUK@DAVIDANDREWSPTUK7 ай бұрын
    • All the cutmen I know come from underneath, but as long as the wrap is comfortable for the fighter its entirely up to you.

  • How many meters of gauze (including knucklepads) and tape do you use per hand? We‘re about to start a private event and we wanna know how much material we need. Best video!

    @fabiant5446@fabiant54462 жыл бұрын
    • If ur using standard 5cm x 10m gauze then you would use nearly all of it for an MMA wrap including your knuckle pad made from the gauze. For boxing you would need about a roll and a half. And for tape you would usually get about 3 or 4 hands wrapped with it. Empire Pro are a good brand for all the kit for wrapping hands I recommend looking at them

  • in Australia they make it 1cm away from the knuckles I saw my buddy fighting in Australia and the cutman said here in Australia it's 1 cm away

    @carloskingasmr6529@carloskingasmr65292 жыл бұрын
    • G'day mate, I'm in Australia too and you are correct, most rule sets just state that there is to be no build-up of tape on the knuckles, so you could tape right up to them. The main reason for staying back one inch is to eliminate any chance of an argument. the last thing you want to be doing is arguing rule sets with the opposing corner and the commission as your fighter sits in the chair. Most rule sets call for 1 (one) inch back from the striking area (knuckles). But again, depending on the rule set and the commission you might even be allowed to tape the knuckles.

  • How long is the roll of gauze you use? Is it around 10m per hand or 10m for both hands?

    @IslandFightLeague-qv7dl@IslandFightLeague-qv7dl2 ай бұрын
    • 10m per roll per hand, although you can also get 15m rolls.

  • Awesome… now cau do that wrap to where the fighter can reuse it for boxing I think they start wrapping the hand with the tape up side down so when they start with the guages it sticks to the tape and when it’s cut off at the wrist it won’t unravel. Not sure on all that tho. 🙏

    @arturoyjr@arturoyjr2 жыл бұрын
    • I've seen those too, but I'd not suggest reusing something you cannot wash.

  • Coach how can we wear gloves after this bandage it's not so huge for MMA lil gloves?

    @HaiderAli-ue8tw@HaiderAli-ue8tw Жыл бұрын
    • The idea is to have the wrap fill the glove, so you'll need to adjust the amount for the person, some might need more and some less.
