They weren't particularly interested in keeping slaves either. They get a bad rep do Pirates. Considering the absolute state of 'civilization' back then.
@halflifeepisode34980 Жыл бұрын
@@halflifeepisode34980 the reason pirates didn't keep slaves as chattel is because they are of more use as indebted fighting hands, with the scarcity of loyal, militarized manpower. They didn't take issue with it morally. They used to rape all the female slaves and keep them, because they're of no military use otherwise. "Civilization" isn't much better now, all it is is that contemporary slaves are called "POWs", or "blue collar workers" or are nominally illegally kept in such countries as Nigeria and the DRC. No moral progress has ever occurred, nor is it possible.

@@StarboyXL9 I would add that there is no use of any morality which cannot exist except by that which it deems immoral. An absolute "pacifist" may decry the violent, and the kratocratic state and war and imperialism and the whole 9 yards and all the rest of it, but still will consume oil, cobalt, national currency backed by international conflict secured resources of all other types and cry to an armed police officer for help when assailed. If he does not, his view will die with him. Gandhi was backed by the British government under Clement Attlee, so he doesn't count and was full of shit. They could have just let him starve, and thereby the issue would have solved itself. Hunger strike as its own rebuttal. That is civilization. Its basis is in violence. Just as always, the weak fuel the strong, only now there is in existence such a beneficiary of the strong as the "suburb" which is protected from perception of such takings and pillagings and is so safe and lawful and rich that it may actually develop such an extreme sense of empathy as to oppose the looting which actually keeps it enriched enough to decry that very looting. No alternative exists. This is not Lalaland, there are no cornucopias to suck the life out of inexhaustibly.

@@TheFalseShepphard KZhead comment sections exist for the specific purpose of public discussion related to the video content. Therefore, why do you take issue with someone describing the part of the scene that they enjoyed the most while providing reasoning? Your KZhead account name is fitting, because ignorant sheep berate others for simply sharing their opinion in a KZhead comment section designed for that very purpose. It appears your issue is not their opinion, but it is the expression of their opinion. For anyone to not understand the purpose of KZhead comment sections surely indicates a severely limited intelligence. I understand the deeper, true, metaphorical-reason, as to why you sarcastically state you are deaf and blind. Additionally, consider confirming the spelling of the word shepherd, via a dictionary before creating your account in future. Good day to you, sir.

Love how the pirates kept made sure to have good manners and be accepting of what they thought she was lol
They weren't particularly interested in keeping slaves either. They get a bad rep do Pirates. Considering the absolute state of 'civilization' back then.
@@brandnew3225 An accurate assessment, and a partially correct conclusion.

It appears your issue is not their opinion, but it is the expression of their opinion. For anyone to not understand the purpose of KZhead comment sections surely indicates a severely limited intelligence.
